Best place in DG for flowers and sod. A bit of a higher price point but much higher quality and selection than Home Depot. As far as the outdoor furnishings, gifts, and other merchandise it's a bit out of my budget but nonetheless a cute selection. Service is great, Kate at the register deserves a special shout-out.

Stopped in today expecting to purchase a fair amount of Christmas ornaments, greenery, outdoor pots and other accessories. We’ve spent many years shopping here with great customer service. I’m not sure what has changed to impact the culture here so significantly. Unfortunately for a place so festively decorated there wasn’t an ounce of holiday spirit or Christmas cheer expressed from a single employee. My wife accidentally broke a $12 ornament while trying to remove it from the rack. We gladly paid for the damage and bought nothing else after how we were treated. Absolutely no customer service whatsoever. Management and Ownership - please understand that eventually your reputation will no longer precede you. Your teem needs to be better trained to properly serve your customers.

I'd never been to any Wannamaker's before.. wow...so Much stuff!! It was fun to check out all the departments. Plus whenever an employee saw me, they offered to help. Enjoyable. I didn't buy much so I can't attest to that...but it did seem that the selections were of good quality.

A great place for your garden and pond needs. Great inventory of quality products priced without the high markups. shout out to to Jeff in the pond dept who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about ponds and pumps.

Wanamaker’s continues to be the exceptional independent garden and home center that offers higher quality, exceptional plants, flowers, trees, shrubs, equipment, and decor. Wanamaker’s also has a decent array of outdoor fountains; and they also offer the supplies, resources, and know how to create your own koi pond.Wanamaker’s has an impressive inventory for grilling essentials and equipment as well as patio furniture and even nicer mailboxes!

I found exactly what I went there for quickly and easily. Equally lovely are trips that include aimless wandering because Wannamakers really does have a nice assortment of products. The annuals that I purchased earlier in the spring have exceeded my expectations by this point in the season.

We recently had our patio redone and we really wanted to invest in our patio furniture. We visited a few places but nothing really caught my eye - until I walked into Wannemaker's. They literally have anything you could ever imagine for a garden/patio/outdoor space. It's so visually appealing too.Patio furniture is definitely an investment - it felt similar to buying a car - you really want to make sure you make the right choice. The service that we got from John was nothing less than absolutely EXCEPTIONAL. He was on the journey with me from the start to find the perfect fit for my family. I was extremely indecisive and John was extremely patient and helpful in answering my endless questions. His knowledge on the items is unmatched and super impressive. He even got out a measuring tape when I was nervous that the set we chose wouldn't fit in our space.I was confident with our purchase, but was still a little nervous to swipe my credit card. Paula checked us out at the register and was amazing. She was so sweet and patient - even though they getting ready to close. It truly was the best experience from start to finish. Delivery was flawless too (and very reasonably priced!!)My son and I went in a few weeks later to get some decorative outdoor pillows and John noticed us at the register checking out. He came over like we're old friends to see how things were going and even remembered my concerns with the space and wanted to ensure that I was happy with how it all turned out. Then a few days later I got a handwritten note from John to wish us a Happy Summer. Come on, where else do you get service like that now?!HIGHLY recommend heading over to Wannemaker's for any outdoor needs!!

I would not spend a cent in this place .Here is a example of a hard working man building a business and leaving the business to his kids. One of which I had the misfortune of dealing with .Here's the story ,it's embarrassing on this mismanaged store account. I buy bird seed for the birds ,and I went to the pallets and this employee walks by ,i yell sir.And the guy looks at me keeps walking.Goes out the back door,I go after the man.I yell hey he stops I said you heard me you stopes looked and ignored me kept walking what's your problem. He says it's not my dept an I don't speak English.I told him I want help there are no bags of bird seed .he walks into the other section ,an a older woman is there .I told her what happened she raised her voice that was it ,I raised mine ! She was defending the guy ,I told her don't defend ignorance ! I said who's the store manager ,she said up front .I said is the owner here.Yes ,I went up front an talked to a guy who seemed interested In my concern ( what a joke ) and called the owner .The guy that called was very understanding ,an told me customers come first ect. ( lol) Owner comes young guy ,I explain what happen and he says he is a good worker an only works summers before he goes to Mexico every year ,was defending him ,which is alright ..But I was going to spend $90 dollars and this guy is ignoring me ..The my little guy who was very concerned about me ,decided to play the role while the owner was there ,telling me we all make mistakes ,maybe he had a bad day ,maybe he had something on his mind ,this little guy did a 180 degree turn ..lI guess you got to do that when you need the job.lol. The owner then told me I don't have to shop there ,I spend over $150.00 every 3 mts ...guess what people I go to farm an fleet ,cheaper ,the help which are Latin treat every customer with respect an talk English ....and the management are professionals .. Use to be a good store now it's just a high priced Walmart .

I am compelled to express my utter disappointment and frustration with the deplorable customer service I received at Wannemakers. I recently purchased two hybrid tea Roses, with the assurance from the checkout staff that I could return them within 30 days if any issues arose.Upon returning the infested plant and inquiring about a refund, I was met with an appalling response from the clerk at the front desk. She arrogantly declared that there was no return policy for live plants and pointed out the fine print on the receipt as if it justified their misleading information. Only when I firmly expressed my frustration and emphasized the misinformation provided by their sales staff did she reluctantly offer suggestions for addressing the infestation.Being a repeat customer, having purchased various exotic, house, and garden plants from Wannemakers over the years, I was deeply disturbed by the initial dismissive and condescending attitude displayed by the staff. Rather than acknowledging the error in communication on their part, they opted to remind me of the policy, demonstrating a complete lack of empathy and professionalism. What I find truly unacceptable is the absence of proper training provided to their sales staff, leading to the dissemination of inaccurate information. I refuse to tolerate being duped by poorly trained employees, and I am determined to prevent other unsuspecting customers from falling victim to such deceptive practices. To make matters worse, no apology was offered for their staff's incompetence and the resulting miscommunication. My intention in writing this review is not solely to seek reimbursement but to alert other potential customers to the deceitful messaging propagated by Wannemakers' inadequately trained staff. I am deeply dissatisfied, frustrated, and disappointed by the entire experience.I am committed to taking this matter further to ensure that the management acknowledges the need for extensive staff training and transparent communication. It is my sincere hope that by sharing my unfortunate encounter, others will be spared from similar distress and dissatisfaction

We have shopped here for years and loved this place but today was my last visit. We stopped in for a few plants and fertilizer only to be walking to the check out on our way out of the store my son who is 3 walked around a corner and a poorly displayed decorative mushroom fell over. An employee came over to clean up and never once checked on my son to see if he was okay. Then proceeded to scold us and follow us to the check out up make sure we payed $20 for something that was a poor choice of a display for a crowded part of a store. They never once asked if he was okay or did he get cut they just were concerned with the fact we must pay for there poor choices of displayed items. I have loved this place spent thousands here but am done and see that the service here keeps going down hill.

Great selection of garden items. However the cashiers are horrendous, extremely rude, dismissive, half of them incompetent in how to process transactions or care for the plants you are buying. And again extremely rude. Actually I hadn’t had a rude store person experience in over 10 years till now. If you want to be treated like you are trash come deal with the cashiers. Otherwise maybe shop their stuff online so you don’t have to deal with the personnel. Also mind you that it wasn’t just one person, it was all 4 that we had an interaction with and all 4 were just nasty verbally and with gestures and facial expressions ugh. I wonder if we tried to talk to a 5th person and he/she is also rude… lol maybe it’s something they look for when they hire people!!! Fix your attitude and be nice human beings for a change!

I went to the store to get 10 pounds of the fruit/veg koi food that Wannemakers sells in bulk. They apparently only had a pound of it left which I took. The food is $8.99 a pound up to 6 lbs and then $5.49 if buy 6lbs or more. I asked that I only pay at the $5.49 rate since they weren't able to provide the 10 lbs I came for and was told no since it was only 1 lb. I explained that it was not my fault that they were not appropriately stocked and that i wanted 10 lbs and should not be penalized because they could t provide the product. I said this was no different than if go to a grocery store and they offer a lower price if buy so many of an item. But if they don't have the number needed to qualify for the lower amount, they have no problem charging the lower price since it was their issue and not mine as a customer. Very short-sighted way of dealing with a customer....
