Horrible service and an even worse “manager”. Swearing, talking bad about her colleagues while a line is formed at the desk. This place has really gone under. Terrible.

Very rude employee at front desk-just hateful. Just because your system is down for an hour doesn’t mean you need to inform individuals who come in hatefully—unbelievable….don’t understand her problem. WOW!!

Just awful. Their computers are always down or the power is out or there is some reason why they can't do their jobs. It shouldn't be so hard to mail a damn package; this post office is useless.

If i could zero stars i would…. Do not recommend going to this downers grove location… everyone that works here is incompetent and need to be fired or re trained. Booked an appointment to get a passport, arrived early just for them to shut the door in our face and said all appointments are cancelled and we should have gotten a text notification about it previously, NEVER DID. The worker shut the door in our face and then walked away after saying “oh all appointments are canceled” no clarification no nothing!!!!! So we finally asked another worker and she said all passport appointments are being directed to the woodridge location and that she would send our information over and to them. We ended up getting everything taken care of at the WOODRIDGE location but the lady never sent our information over……. for your own sake and sanity DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS DOWNERS GROVE LOCATION.

Doesn’t matter when I’ve gone, the manager says they are short staffed and the one clerk is on lunch for an hour. Come back later in the day, same story. Next day. Day after. Management needs some training.

The actual mail service is fine, I like my postal delivery people. It’s this branch and the services inside. Absolute worse possible management you could have. Look I understand the Post Office has not competition because of government. But when you are literally the next person in line and NOONE else in line and the supervisor closes the clerk station for a break. Uh what? Like who trained these people. How are they not even sensical as a human to understand you take the next person. Especially the ONLY other person there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!But the saving grace in all this is that Westmont is right there too and it’s soooooo much better there. Downers Grove post office is old and tired inside and out with horrible management.

I have lived in Downers Grove my entire life. Mail delivery is always inconsistent. I have informed delivery emails set up, so I see what mail I am supposed to be getting. I have a time sensitive document I am waiting to receive, and I saw that it was supposed to be delivered yesterday. It wasn't. And now I'm on the phone. Trying to figure out where that mail is. See if I can just go to the office and pick it up? But you can't even get a hold of anybody when you call the phone number. Because it's an 800 number. There is no direct number to that location. I never receive my mail on time through USPS. Especially if it's coming from this location.

Tried to report a missing internationally shipped item. They gave me a phone number to call. People on the phone said I didn’t have to call them. Went back to get a claim. Told me they couldn’t even though the paper they gave me said they would. They refuted all the info on the phone. Third time I was given the runaround by a post office in two days. Terrible customer service.

Officially never going back unless I really have to. I don't understand why the woman working at the counter needs to be so rude most of the time. It's very frustrating.
