“Another Downers business that has changed its name since I was last in. it used to be called My Favorite Toy Store. Now, some of us might hate to admit it, but there is a little of Peter Pan in all of us. Don't be embarrassed, you will feel right at home in this store. There is a great selection of toys for all ages, actually for the ageless. Why didn't they have toys like this when I was that age? They have things to shake, ride, chew, watch, read, grow, manipulate, make, and wish you had thought of so you could be sunning on some beach somewhere instead of living the everyday grind. And.................. free gift wrap and a reward program. Did I mention that they welcome you to stay and play (oops, I meant shop) until closing time?”
“I have a Bluey loving 4 year old. There is an episode about chess so she became obsessed with learning. I have wanted to come to this store for a while, so the Bluey episode seemed to be perfect motivation to do so. When I walked in, I saw beautiful statement chess boards and fun and quirky boards and some simple elegant boards. We were able to find the perfect chess board for a 4 year old (yes it exists; magnets to hold it to the board and a foldable board game for storage). There is also a book for learning chess and a meetup once a week so she can practice (or I can so we can learn together!). I loved our visit here and recommend it for anyone looking for a chess board or to improve their game.”
“First off, there is no better collectible store than Mr. Wayne’s. I am beyond happy and grateful to have the opportunity to visit this store. I came from an hour out and every minute was definitely worth it. Met the owner! He is beyond the coolest and nicest person to talk to and 9/10 you will end up walking out of here with a good find at a good price. Definitely visiting more often when I am in town.”
“Not your typical toy store! This is where my son asks to spend all his allowance. The owner has the best suggestions and is the nicest small business owner you’ll meet. Love seeing him juggle at all the holiday parades too.”
“In a world where bookstores have all but disappeared due to the digital age and competition, it is nice to see Barnes and Noble is still thriving. This location is a nice entrance into Oakbrook Mall. This location has 2 stories with a Starbucks located on the second level.”
“A big shout out to Bill from Lombard Hobbies. He converted my DC Atlas Trainman® Plus NRE Genset II Locomotive to DCC. Awesome shop with awesome people. Thank you once again Bill for your help.”
“Nice store for all kinds of kids stuff in Lombard. Lots of Dr. Who and marvel figures and toys. Prices were decent. Not many customers even on a weekend.Staff were helpful to look and suggest items.”
“First time in the Chicago area and long time collector of Charlie Bears and Jellycat. Upon a recommendation from a friend, I headed to Fairy Tales Inc. What a beautiful shop. Wonderful selection and the store associates are kind, helpful and patient. Very highly recommend checking this quaint store in Lombard.”
“Come here not so frequently but always left with a good experience. Employees are very kind and helpful. Boss man is always kind and polite and fully of positive energy. I bring my items to trade to this location really frequently compared to other locations trade value they’re my best option. Only thing I can say is do inspect your figures whether you’re buying or trading. I’ve had a couple issues but they’re quick to fix the problem with the figure or make up for it if there’s no replacement pieces. Aside from that my favorite store. 10/10”
“This was one of the best experiences I had purchasing something online. The product was just as described and it shipped quickly. The best part was seeing my daughter’s face when she saw her Frozen Jeep restored to its original glory, she actually thought it was a brand new one, The decals were perfect!”
“Great experience!. Two lovely young girls helped us get my grandson his first teddy bear for his 1st birthday! They were very attentive and kind and gentle with the baby too!”

2015 Manchester Rd, Wheaton“Great place to see all types of engines and rolling stock. Vendors are mostly nice and friendly. We did have issues with one; gave price, raised price, said Loco was new, and wasn't. But that's ok. Won't go back to that vendor. Many more to chose from! Have a hot dog stand, clean restrooms, plenty of free parking. 2nd time going, and we'll be back!”
“We recently had our 1 yr old’s birthday party through Waterlemon at the RSC and it did not disappoint! The venue is aesthetic/beautiful (honestly don’t even need much in terms of decor) and perfect for hosting adults and kids with activities and more than enough space for everyone! Nina was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the planning process and in helping us set up for the party the day of. Appreciated all of her insight/guidance as I am not the best planner! We received so many compliments from our guests- super happy with how everything turned out. Highly recommend Waterlemon!”
“I love everything about this place! The people, the products, and it's my go-to for every birthday party my kindergartener is invited to. Plus, for his birthday, he absolutely LOVED putting together his birthday box, making it super easy for his friends to come in and pick the perfect gift for him. They always have the perfect thing for Easter, Christmas, Halloween, you name it! I definitely recommend shopping this local, small business instead of the impersonal big box stores, or online shopping that have become the norm.”
“Got my son's beloved plushie rehabbed from something that wouldn't survive his childhood to something that is looking much better, all in 3 days (rush order). Thank you!”
“Love this store! Such a great selection of toys- fun, STEM toys, but also has fun toys to just play with. They also have a large variety of Squishmallows and rotate seasonal ones and feature different cartoon characters. This is my go to for kids' birthday gifts. A huge bonus is the free gift wrapping- they do a wonderful job, too! We have been to both the Countryside location (much larger) and Clarendon Hills (we tend to go to this one more since welive closer to here).”

My son is 2 years old and has sensory problems so getting a haircut really isn't his favorite thing. I was full of anxiety walking in not knowing what was going to happen but she was so calm and helpful. She let him hold a few cars, talked him through it, and explained all the sounds and vibrations. My son didn't scream or cry not once. Thank you so much!!”
“Our first time here, Stopped in to get a small stuffie for a small child. There were several pleasant knowledgeable salespeople working. They offered a complimentary gift wrap!”
“Such an adorable baby store! We just had our first baby, and this has quickly become our favorite place to visit. Every time we stop by, the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. One time, a girl assisted me in finding an item I had seen on their Instagram page, and she was so sweet and helpful! Even before our baby arrived, they did a fantastic job helping us find baby shower and birthday gifts for my niece. We will definitely keep coming back!”
“Came here to exchange a gift from a friend. I like that they have a lot of natural fiber clothes since at some other stores like target I can only find 2 items out of the entire store that are 100% natural fiber! Not sure what happened but my friend said they packed the wrong size of ruffle butt when they got the outfit. I went to exchange but they no longer had the size we needed. Still, the store associate was very helpful and helped us pick out another outfit that fit the same vibe.”

“Friendly staff and a great selection of games. If you're looking for something to do with friends or family on a night in, Anderson's Toyshop has something for everyone.”

107 E Front St, Wheaton“Place is pretty cool. Go here on long bike rides with friends. We play the tabletop soccer game they have up front. I am something of a pro. Cool place. They have board games in the back. Yeah.”
“This is a good store to go to if you’re shopping for calendars. Make sure you go when they are heavily discounted. I went today and it was 75% off. We were able to get two calendars for $6.73. Besides calendars, they also have puzzles, board games, etc. I recommend checking them out. Just a FYI, they do open later than some of the other stores. On Sundays, they opened at noon. Service was good. It’s located close to the kiddie haircut place.”

623 E Boughton Rd, Bolingbrook“I brought my son to get his ears pierced as a birthday present and the entire experience has been PHENOMENAL! Store Manager Lin was very informative and attentive, answering all of our questions regarding the piercing procedure and aftercare. Cassandra did the actual piercing, and she is an absolute gem with the younger crowd! She took the time to do a breathing exercise with my son to calm his nerves a bit, then he said afterwards that she was very gentle-handed and that the piercing didn't even hurt! Great experience overall, if you ever bring a young one to this store for a piercing, make sure to ask for Cassandra! 5/5 stars, would recommend!”
“Came in with very little knowledge about Magic: The Gathering, just looking for some fun packs to open. Tom was an absolute delight to us, and made the experience insanely fun and welcoming”
