Saratoga Grove is a wonderful retirement and assisted living community. I cast a wide net looking for a place my sister would like and our whole family is very happy we found Saratoga. Friendly, professional and caring people combined with facility and services my sister is happy to call home.

I went in to assist one of the patients who cannot be left alone. This was my 1st time here. I thought that it appeared nice when you 1st walked in, but the room was filthy. I tried to clean some of it up but it wasn't enough. I finally got housekeeping to come and scrub mop the floor. It was quite difficult to get any assistance when needed! This place needs more CNA'S and another nurse on duty would be a good idea.

Saratoga Grove is not just a community, it is a family. With open arms and honest hearts, it invites seniors to live their best lives, safely, surrounded by people who truly care. I am proud to call Saratoga Grove my Home away from home!

This is a follow up to a previous post. I would recommend Saratoga Grove 100%. My mom is currently in hospice care at Saratoga Grove. The staff there has treated my mom like she is their own mother.

What a great place! This community is truly a family, from the management, to the staff, to the residents and the residents' families. Truly a blessing for those who are are a part of it.

My mother was at this facility for about a year and we had to move her. Saratoga Grove memory care floor is understaffed and the care is just not what the memory care patients need. We moved her from this facility last February due to lack of care. The place went down significantly after their Director of Nursing left after 30 years.

I would never recommend this place and here is why: Moved our Mom Elaine in July 2017 on the 2nd floor Memory Care. I just removed her January 30, 2018 because of her being ignored and not being taken care of. They don't practice Memory Care practices i.e. verbal ques I kept getting from staff your Mom dresses herself she doesn't need help - Mom doesn't know clean from dirty, no verbal ques to change her underwear, clothing or shoes. The food is terrible and food server caught eating bacon with her hands covered in plastic then reaching for bacon with same hand and putting bacon on the plates for residents. Request for bathroom to be cleaned and not done so family members end up cleaning her bathroom/apartment. The bathroom always stinks maybe because of lack of cleaning and the air filter system. She has had 3 to 4 falls the last one on New Year's Eve which I found her on the floor at about 7 am in the morning involved going to the hospital by ambulance and getting 13 stitches. I actually saw this sign posted inside the Nurse's station (I have a photo): Resident name withheld, it laid out a hour by hour schedule for a certain resident and stated that the family was very involved that they installed a camera in her apartment. If this schedule was not being followed there would be disciplinary action taken. Why did one family have to go to this extreme? I complained of the lack of training and was told to have patience that there would be changes being made but they would not happen overnight. Then don't promote yourself as Memory Care when your staff has no clue or training in Memory Care. I can say only one good thing about this place - even though there is lack of training with the staff they always are smiling, sweet and caring staff. If I had to rate this place from 1 to 10 I would give it a 10 for staff even though there is a lack of training and for everything else a 1. Nancy Van Wieren

Dont put a loved one in the memory care unit. You will regret it! They will forget to get them for meals. Will forget to administer medical and if your loved one needs assistance with dressing or are incontinent, forget it.

The staff is professional and compassionate throughout entire facility. We are especially grateful for caregiving staff and nurses since they are more interactive with residents and families.
