I had a mishap with the side of a sidewalk. The tire was easy enough to replace. However, the derailleur became misaligned, and I wasn’t up for that task. After a quick search, RTT Cycle Shop was nearby. I got my bicycle to their location and discussed the needed service. RTT scheduled me into their work queue, and I left my ride there a few days later for the service. They completed the work in just a few short hours. My bike hadn’t been that clean since it was on the showroom floor. The derailleur was smooth, and the brake calipers were tight. Everything was ready to go. Even the tires were aired up. I recommend RTT Cycle Shop based on the service work they performed on my bicycle.

Took my sons bike here that had a flat tire less than an hour before they closed. Told me just the tube had to be replaced and I could come back in a half hour to pick it up. I loved the quick/hassle free service! And price was reasonable too!

I have been a customer of RTT for nearly 3 years and RTT sets the standard on quality of service, pricing, and responsiveness when compared to any other business I frequent.RTT/Andy have built 2 bikes for me and maintain 2 others that I own through annual servicing.Fun fact: I had to get a repair on my trek, and due to a gift card I had for trek I had them quote the work versus RTT. RTT’s price was 1/80th of the price (no joke) and they did the work perfectly.I’d give RTT 6 stars if possible.

Took 3 of the family bicycles for their first tuneup in years. They ride like brand new and the customer service was phenomenal. Highly recommend.

March 10th, 2023 I dropped off my bike to have it serviced. I was informed it would be about a week and a half.March 28th I still had no update on the status of my bike.March 29th, I drove to the store and was informed the owner is on vacation for a week and they had no further information on when it will be repaired by the owner.I took the bike back to another reputable store.

Shop always provides good service and delivery, but of course it all depends upon the supply chain nowadays. Owner operator business and I have always trusted his work; very helpful and dependable.

Even though it took about a month to get in. I’m extremely happy to have waited and chose to do business and support these local guys. Grew up in the western suburbs but new to Downers Grove I looked around for a local bike shop for a simple repair rather than going to a “big box” corporate store I waited for RTT when I went in I found a bunch of guys who seemed both knowledgeable and loved and what they do. The pricing is fair and I cannot wait to continue to do business with them as needed for hopefully a while to come. They tuned up my GT outpost mountain bike (appx 4-5 years old) and aside from needing a new tire (which they told me and asked if I wanted before ordering it) it runs almost as smooth as the day I bought it. I happily rode it home from the shop. 10/10 recommend business to RTT.

Andy is kind of a j**** I asked about a part and he told me $34 so asked if he would check the prices other places so I could still buy it through his store. He refused saying Amazon does not deserve his money. So I said I would check some other places and most likely be back. And then he started trying to bully me into buying it through him. Just to find the exact part on Amazon for $13! Would not recommend!

A place like RTT is the reason you should support good local bike shops. As a favor to a regular customer RTT rented me a great gravel bike for a week, something that was actually hard to accomplish for a visitor to Chicagoland. The bike held up very well on an 80 mile ride to Union Pier--couldn't have asked for better tuned bike.

I guess I'm late to the game with EVERY other 5 star review. Well deserved, I brought my Trek in for a tune up and repair - started with the online que and then was sent an email that my time was here. Great system - I interacted with 3 people there and all 3 were really great to work with. Now - the actual work. I bought this (kind of my first "better' bike) used 2 years ago. After the work they did it was better than it was when I bought it. I was shocked, it was like I was riding with brakes on before the tune up. Can't recommend enough. Thanks for the great service. Edit - forgot to mention the turnaround time. I was told 2-3 days when I dropped it off at 4pm on a Wednesday - I got a call at 2pm Thursday, next day that it was ready. Great service! Brian

Aug 3, 2021 Update We had another bike with a flat, 2 worn tires, and in need of a tune-up. Just like last time, great service when I dropped off, great work on the bike, timely repairs, good communication, and a great experience picking up. RTT makes it look easy. Many other businesses should look to them as an example of great customer service and quality work. Nov 12, 2020 I received excellent service from friendly and knowledgeable staff. I will definitely return here for any future service needs.

I have been going to to RTT since they opened. Andy and Team always step up to ensure the best service with high quality products. Very knowledgeable and honest and straight to the point. I have had them customize and upgrade a couple of my existing bikes and they are far and above better than when originally purchased. My go to spot for tubes, tires, lube, accessories, and my next new bike purchase. Won’t go anywhere else.
