As a long-standing company in the medical equipment field, we have done business with numerous crating companies over the years, some good, others great, and some awful. The Downers Grove, IL location of Navis is absolutely the latter, with their corporate customer service & franchise services coordinator primarily being the deciding factor for this review. Problems occur in the logistics industry, we fully understand the risks involved with hiring a company to crate a valuable piece of equipment, but the expectation of common sense should always be present. We received a job update picture from this location, and noticed they had packed & placed a medical diagnostic scanning head on its side within the crate. When asked about the choice, the owner replied with, " The head unit is laying sideway. It was bubbled and boxed. Head unit is mostly frame, so we didn't think there isn't any issue laying sideway....." Needless to state, we contacted corporate immediately, the location actually unpacked the head as described, and shipped it bare, simply sitting it under a power table. As expected, upon arrival to our facility, the unit was severely damaged & out of calibration. After reaching out to corporate to address our concerns, and consider our options, we were met with a request for information, once provided, the official Navis reply was simply, "We don't see how any of the damage you claim there is occurred because of the way the Navis handled your items. It seems more likely to us that any damage that occurred was caused in transit and therefore you should be filing the claim with your carrier." We spent a good amount of money on a functioning piece of medical equipment, entrusted its care to Navis, and are essentially now left with a non-functioning unit & an extensive repair bill. We handle numerous inbound crates weekly, and can confirm there was zero external shipping damage to this particular crate. We find this lack of accountability & responsibility unacceptable and want to ensure the next individual or company does not make the same mistake. There are numerous crate companies in the greater Chicago area, save yourself the headache and expense.

Horrible. Quote me one price over a phone. When I got there and it took me an hour to get there, price whent up 60+$ because my measurements where 1 inch off. Also l came there late on Thursday hoping package will be sent next day. To my surprise they told me that the earliest my parcel will be on Tuesday and possibly Wednesday of next week. Do not recommend.

We had Navis deliver a near 500lb incubator to my laboratory in Downers Grove. They were extremely professional in all matters of communication before and during the delivery. These guys handled a difficult job very well, went above and beyond for our company, and managed to do it all without a single scratch on the incubator, walls, floors, etc. I would trust these guys to deliver ANYTHING.

I had a problem with a shipment from Navis. Fortunately it was insured. Though I had to wait on the insurer, Navis went to a great deal of effort to get it worked out so I can speak to their thoroughness to detail.

Be careful with this company. I use Navis and Craters and freighters all the time to ship heavy machines. I have never had a problem with any shipping company until I used Navis in Downers Grove, IL. First of all, they were about 40% higher in price than any other Navis I have used in the past. But the big Issue I had with them is they shipped my machine upside down! They crated it perfectly, but in the warehouse it was flipped over and shipped upside down. I know for sure it was done in their warehouse, because another box of accessories was on the top, and the entire pallet was strapped down with their strapping and all the tracking numbers were upright. There was about $100 worth of damage to the machine. I emailed them 2 times but there was absolutely no response. If they at least reached out to me with an apology, I would not have written this review. I give then 2 stars, because the initial contact with them was good.

Great service. Accommodated our move last minute when a different company canceled. Everything got here in perfect condition. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I moved from Phoenix to Chicago recently and this would be my 3rd move in 12 months. Navis Pack and Ship of Downers Grove was easily the best service Ive had. I moved in the heart of the Gold Coast and they made the move seem so easy. They even assembled my bed making the move effortless for me. Couldn't be happier!

My girlfriend and I hired Navis to ship furniture from Michigan to Illinois. Our new place in Illinois requires scheduling of the elevator, as it is high-rise and used by many people. In our initial calls with Navis, we were assured that our time constraints would be no issue. Even after texting the drivers, we were assured there would be no problem. Well, we had the elevator reserved from 12:00-3:00 PM. The movers text us at 8:00 AM saying they've arrived and aren't waiting. We attempt to call the drivers to plea with them to wait. Not only did they not wait, but they also left all of our stuff on the loading dock completely exposed to anyone that wanted to take anything. We rush to our new place and are forced to move everything ourselves. A few hours later, after calling the company, we were offered a 10% discount. We obviously didn't accept this and eventually got 50% of our bill, but the experience could not have been worse!

I used Navis to move from Chicago to Seattle. I specifically told them the date that I would need my stuff, and gave them a 3 day window. They did not document this or tell this to the trucking company sending my goods. The trucking company was completely closed during this time, due to the holidays and was not open on the weekends. Navis did not disclose this to me. I called and emailed Navis over and over again and could not get prompt responses. I arrived in a new city, with a new job that i could not take time off work from and did not have anything that I paid to move. I also paid for white glove service and everything was left in my kitchen (including a bulky memory foam mattress that needed to be taken upstairs). I had to hire people to help me because I was all by myself. I never received a follow up from Navis or a sincere apology. Every time I called, they tried to get off the phone with me and refer me to the trucking company. The trucking company was very helpful but was equally frustrated with Navis. I will be leaving a review with BBB as well in order to prevent others from falling into this poorly run business. They are nice people, but it is extremely unprofessional
