My experience with Lacey Creek for the short 10-12 weeks my mother was there was horrendous. The communication just getting her in there was poor. I thought once she was in things would be better. The place is clean and offers the financial assistance we were needing. Move in day was a joke, no guidance, no orientation, no communication. It was expected to know the schedule and how things work. My family spent more time caring for moms needs and meals then time visiting her. The care that is advertised Lacey will provide. This caused tremendous stress on the family knowing the staff was not assisting mom learning the ropes of this facility, which resulted in mom missing meals and medication, daily for weeks. She went unfed for an entire weekend and no staff member thought anything of it. We spoke with the head nurse almost daily to get mom on track never happened, even suggestions from the head nurse never happened. Head nurse provided minimal guidance or assistance. Assistance with meals, programs, or the daily assistance that seniors need rarely happened. The head nurse stated they like residents who don’t need much care. We decided to move mom and even that became a hassle. Again lack of communication, follow through, compassion, and responsibility to the seniors there are concerning. If your loved one needs no assistance in daily living and likes cafeteria food, this may be a place for them.

Lacey Creek of Downers Grove provides a safe, caring environment where my Mother is thriving. She calls it her "forever home".It's a place that allows her privacy if she wants it as well as multiple levels of activities and programs she can participate in as she chooses. Her concerns and opinions are valued. The other residents and staff are almost family to her.As a family member of a resident, I would definitely recommend looking at Lacey Creek of Downers Grove for yourself or a family member!Lacey Creek is a cheerful place. It's sunny, clean and safe indoors and out. The neighborhood is a friendly residential area. Residents in the neighborhood walk their dogs and visit with Mom and her friends as they walk along the sidewalks. Their homes and yards provide a perfect backdrop for the Lacey Creek community.On-site heath care is also addressed nicely for those living at Lacey Creek. Therapy, nursing care, doctor visits are part of what is offered here, too. Competent, friendly CNAs are assigned to residents and come to know them well.

The nursing staff is excellent! My number one priority is that my mom will be cared for and she definitely is! Her call lights are answered promptly, I have no worries about her safety. The CNA’s take excellent care of my mom and they go above and beyond for her, and for that we’re so blessed. Walking down the halls, everything is clean, smells clean and staff is very friendly. I’m so thankful there’s a place like this so close to my home.

We have been trying to get my mother in law in here. We started communicating with them almost a year ago. I know with the pandemic and all it is hard, but the communication from them has been horrible. We are still not moved in(no move in date set up either). We spoke with them back at the end of june, and still nothing. Why us it we have to do all the calling to find out information.

Shout out to Rhonda and the outstanding staff at Lacey Creek who are keeping our loved ones safe during this frightening and uncertain period. We so appreciate you being on the front lines for our families while you have families of your own as well. My mom is very happy at Lacey Creek. Thank you very much.

This place is very unorganized, they definitely don't care about the residents, they put on fake smiles.... the DIETARY department is definitely a NO,NO... what ever you do..don't allow your Parents & Grandparents to come to this place... and under No circumstances never apply for a job there...Trust me you will regret it. Extremely Poor Supervisor & Management . The even have there own family members working there,in the DIETARY department.

I could not be happier with the care my sister is receiving at Lacey Creek. The staff is very helpful and concerned for her well being. Very friendly people always trying to get her involved in events. Clean and safe facility. Food ok, but to be expected in this type of facility. Maintenance responds quickly to requests. Highly recommend.

Lacey Creek is wonderful place for our father to live! He is well cared for, keeps busy with activities, and has made some special friendships. The staff is helpful and the facility is well kept. His quality of life has improved greatly since moving here.

I found them to be uncaring towards my grandmother and family. Staff and nurses were quite rude, rough with the patients and belittling at times. I would recommend looking somewhere else for a loved one.
