My cat suddenly got ill today. They got us right in. The staff and doctor were both caring and quickly came up with answers and treatments. We appreciate their outstanding efforts to make our little girl better.

I’ve took my dog here and had a good experience however, I was inquiring a couple of questions and had to ask the same question 3 times before Stephanie would answer it via email.

Our dog was very sickShe had bloody stools, losing weight. They wanted to keep her overnight to give her intravenous fluid. Only problem? They didn't have overnight staff. I came to see her and found her lying in her pooh.

Vet was very unprofessional and inexperienced working with bully breeds. Now I to have to take my dog somewhere else and have him suffer longer... very disappointing! Staff was great otherwise. ??

We highly recommend this clinic! The staff and doctor was so caring and compassionate towards us and our senior dog. We called before closing on a Friday night and they were able to offer us an appointment the very next day due to the circumstances - and on a Saturday! Our regular vet does not have weekend appointments so we were desperate to have her looked at. They took great time to evaluate her and provide meds to make her comfortable. Bottom line is that they care. Do not hesitate to call them.

I've gone here two or three times to get my green cheeked conure nails trimmed. First time was about a year ago and the doctor cut its nails with a human nail clipper, and while you can use a nail clipper its not the best option since its for flat nails. My bird did fine and only yelped once, wasn't a bad experience.A couple months I had to go again and they started charging 100$ for a health check. We all know they do this for extra money, but I didn't have another option since I didn't trust myself to cut my birds nails.The doctor is very arrogant and acts like your d*** for not doing "basic" information.Yes I know sandpaper perches will not file my birds nails down, WHY do you THINK I'm HERE? My bird was already frightened and it certainly didn't help when the doctor cut way too much and he started bleeding. It looked like the doctor was panicking because the bleeding almost didn't want to stop. THEN he said "cut them shorter so it can last you a while" something like that.Seriously? I rather my bird have nails than little stubs. Don't bring your bird here!! Its better to just cut your own birds nails, like I started doing.

If you are a pet owner and in need of a fantastic animal hospital look no further. We rescued a wonderful lab mix puppy 3 months ago and found this amazing place. Our previous pets we took to a larger more institutional facility so that was our only experience but coming here is like joining a family. The doctors and all the staff are welcoming, friendly and most importantly genuine. They love what they do and are truly excited to help. I would highly recommend Downers Grove Animal Hospital, keep up the great service!

If you are looking for a veterinary clinic - this is it!I am so grateful to Dr. Graham Merkin and his staff. I was not previously a client and my cat, Leia, needed emergency surgery on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Dr. Graham was willing to do it and took great care of her. Our experience was wonderful and I will be recommending Downers Grove Animal Hospital to others forever. They were attentive and thorough and have followed up on her recovery. Thank you from my entire family! You are all wonderful people.

I just cannot say enough about the docs and staff here at DG Animal Hospital. These folks truly LOVE animals & everything they do is rendered with that love. We recently had to say goodbye to our much loved dog and they could not have been more supportive, kind or understanding. And later, we received a card with thoughtful notes from all 9 of the staff there with kind words about our good boy. And they treat ALL of "their" furry friends this way. They treat owners exceptionally well too. Always explaining everything thoroughly and carefully listening while trying to find the best solution for your pet. And I found their fees to be very reasonable compared to other local practices.

I have been going to this clinic for about a year and I kept telling myself it was going to get better…. BUT it didn’t. I was just reading the reviews and it seems that all the doctors are very arrogant and customer service is not their priority. I’m not happy how they make you feel especially when sometimes the situations that bring you there can be stressful:( I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a new vet!

We appreciate the great care our two dogs have gotten. They're very clean and easily explained some symptoms one of our rescues came to us with. The other rescue is very eager and vocal-(she's a Boston terrier, they make a special noise to say the least lol) they understood and were very patient with her.

I wanted to give five stars to Amanda, Annie and Alexis for being so kind and comforting towards me on the phone. My pet unfortunately did not make it to her euthanasia, but I know she would’ve been in the best hands if she had. I really appreciate all of your sweet words and will be back the next time I need any veterinary service.
