“Overall, the detail was great! Everything was cleaned very well especially because my car needed lots of work. The only complaint I had about the detail was that my car seats were soaking wet and left my car smelling like wet dog. I know there is no possible way to completely dry seats prior to them giving the car back, but it was horrible and I barely wanted to drive my car. Now, there were some things done operationally with the receptionist Cindy that made this an unpleasant experience.

1. When I booked my appointment, I got a confirmation email that it was scheduled for a specific date. When I realized that I was unable to make it on the scheduled date I contacted them to reschedule. I spoke with Cindy and she stated that I didn't have an appointment for that date. After some searching, she stated that it was scheduled for the following day and it was an error on their part. Perfect! No problem, I changed my schedule to accommodate. The following day, I had an appointment run over and needed to reschedule. I spoke with Cindy again and verbatim she said "didn't you reschedule once already?" I said no and explained the situation. So then I got an appointment for that Thursday.

2. Upon arrival things went well, gave them my car and they said it would take some time because they were backed up. No problem, I was excited to get my car detailed from them because my sister had a good experience.

3. The detail is stated to take 1.5-2 hours. My appointment was at 11 am and that's when I arrived, my car wasn't completed until 2:30pm. When Cindy called to tell me that my car was done, she stated verbatim " we charged you an additional $25 because there was dog hair and some hard stains." I thought how could you just charge me without my knowledge. So, when I arrived to pick up my car, I was thinking the total would be $175. She stated, the total was $200. I asked for her to explain. She stated that my car was a compact SUV and it was an additional $25. Ok, I understand that, so I then let her know that I only had $175 total to pay for my detail because I wasn't aware that I would be charged an additional $25 for the dog hair and stains. She immediately got defensive and said "do you know how hard it is to clean those seats?" Once again, I'm thinking no I don't because I don't detail cars. So, I said, I understand the charges, but operationally, you could have given me a call PRIOR to charging me for the dog hair/stains etc. so that I could be prepared for the cost or let you know if I wanted that service for the additional cost. She continued to go on about how it was a long day and they lost power etc. and I'm thinking that has nothing to do with me. I then told her, I only have the cash I was going to pay for the service which was $175 and that was all she could charge me because I didn't agree to the additional $25 cost. She said well it's on the sign outside that we could charge more and I understand that, but I said "Cindy, you could've simply called to let me know, just because you can charge, doesn't mean that I shouldn't be notified of the charge". She said "fine I'll just charge you the $175." I said, you're right that's all you can charge.

Now, once again, I think overall they did a good job, but if a client is going to be charged more because of a service, they should be contacted to let them know of the additional charge.”
