I am so not happy. I got my nails done 2 days ago! They are oddly shaped, not filed down at the sides correctly, not the same length as the other hand! Just trash. I went to the older gentleman I understand he seemed to be training but his mind wasn't even in it. He was off in lala land! You can also see the nail over the white tip like what?!?!

I went here to get my nails done on June 20th for the first time for my gender reveal party. A couple of my family members suggested it. I give it a 5 star review. I asked for a full set of Coffin Acrylic nails and showed them a picture of how I wanted the design (V-cut French) and they did an excellent job. I would definitely come back here. The price was lower than what I was expecting. I paid $60.

Let me tell you, I went there today and almost cried because of the results. I walked in with a beautiful blue set, but it was time for a fill. I decided to get a classic, crisp French design.. Oh boy, the nightmare started then. They couldn't do it and made so many excuses. I had to move to another chair with three different people in total doing a basic French design. At some point, she asked if I was okay because I was done—done! You can see the result: wonky lines, watered-down color, and a chubby shape. Ugh! And they charged me $60 for that mess. The pedicure was great; the person who did it was very focused and paid attention to details. But if you can save your money, please do your research first because this place is not it!

I originally gave this place 5 stars. I had high hopes. As time went, after they took over ownership, the quality became less and the dirtyness became more. I did try to nicely address my concerns and was met with a rude response that let me know it was time to find a new salon.

Took his time to get the perfect shape I asked for (I got acrylics). Was fairly gentle while sanding and filing my nails which I appreciated. I asked for no color or polish at all which he accepted with no problem. They have a very clean and kept vicinity, and overall a great experience.

Updating my review since Star turned to Lux Nails.
I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised! There are a ton of chop shops in the area but this is not one of them. I've had my nails done there twice now and both times they looked great. Linda is not only quick, but efficient as well. Everyone there is very polite and kind, they even offer you refreshments.
I was originally looking for a free lancer but I'm so glad I don't have to go through the hassle now. Big win for Lux taking a less than sub-par nail salon to one that actually produces quality.

New owners the shop is clean repainted spotless.
Linda and her husband have a lot of experience and do excellent work.
Today I had Ruby do my pedicure she was amazing.
No waiting when I walked in.
Worth giving them a try definitely a different experience from the last.

My nails were all different lengths and not even at all…. Hoping to go somewhere to get them fixed I am not sure if someone else will. Won’t be going there again when it was star nails they had awesome people not anymore

So I haven't had nail done in years, and I went here lux nails and And I have to say what they did to my nails and laid on the acrylic so bad
. It was behind my nails built up. I asked him if that was normal, and he said yes. My nails felt like they weighed 10 pounds, and both hands II kept telling him that it looked. Too heavy. He told me it was normal, so I went to another. I went to another nail salon in Dixon, and they told me no. Let me fix this for you so he drilled behind each nail and took out all that acrylic. There is so much acrylic on the top of my nails and bumpy. I wish I could get them redone again. 50 plus 14 tip to guy in there
The pictures may not show how heavy the acrylics on the top of my nails are but very disappointed

Been there three times now and each time I question why I went back. My nails are a reck, I went in for a fill and change of color with a French tip. I showed him a reference photo and everything and they still came out bad. The lines are uneven, he cut them to short, the coating is to thin so you can see through the color. I didn't know how to tell him that I didn't like it cause he had already started on the next step, for $55 I feel like I got cheated. I definitely would say if you wanted your nails done go to the one located by the Walmart in dixon instead.
