I thought this was going to be a good experience for my family. Unfortunately the way I was treated felt very rude. I was dismissed, I have a home that’s owned and a fenced in back yard. For some reason though me and my family were completely dismissed. The attitude I was given was uncalled for. We were simply trying to find a dog who needed a loving home. And the adoption process shouldn’t be this long. And I was also lied to. They said the dog we were looking at had over 12 applicants. Only for my friend to call and be told the dog only had two. Completely unprofessional and sad for the animals that have to endure this. I understand needing to vet out the bad people so the animals aren’t abused and or neglected. I have a clean record and have never harmed and or neglect animals my whole life. They could do better and should work on improving their bed side manners with people in general.

This place is ridiculous. I am 67, retired and have experience working at shelters and I couldn’t even get an interview for employment. Tried two different times to apply and got no response. I was actually interested in volunteering but after speaking with the rude staff I have no interest in being involved with this money grabbing place.

Granny Rose makes it extremely hard to adopt. I understand wanting to make sure the animals go to a good home, but with the shelter always being full their requirements are extremely unnecessary. Essentially if you don't own a home in your name or have a fenced in back yard, you won't be able to adopt a dog from here. A fenced in yard is not the only way to ensure an animal gets exercise. Their questionnaire is long and asks too personal of questions. On top of that the staff is not very friendly. They hover when you're visiting with an animal and won't talk or answer questions. Probably doesn't help that their hiring process is garbage.Save your money and adopt from somewhere better.

Had an appointment to see a puppy today. The appointment was made in the beginning of the week and I got a call saying the puppies were already adopted they let me know I was the 1st applicant but they gave the puppy to someone else. I had to disappoint my whole family.

Place was well maintained as far as u were allowed to be dogs always came out with feces stuck to them either smelling of urine or poop these people say they want them adopted out to good homes but ask for the price of a 6 month old pup when trying to bond with the animal workers are constantly interfering unless u take the animal outside they are left unattended from 5 in the afternoon till morning with nobody taking them out regularly or walking them even then with all this u must be approved by "THE Board" which not only takes for ever but is nearly impossible tried adopting a dog there I make almost 36 grand a year and take care of my wife and have more than plenty of money for everything I need and a dog and got denied after a week long waiting for an answer all the while coming in everyday and spending 2 hours with the dog.

We as a family really love that we got a black Labrador Retriever here. The staff is very nice and very friendly. We love our new edition to the family his name is Bobby Harris. It has been 1 year ago today that Bobby our black Labrador Retriever has been apart of the family and he has been a great edition for me and the kids and my wife Julia. He weighed in on Friday at 78 pounds, he is very happy and lot's of love and energy thank again granny rose for everything ❤️
