My scheduled flu shot appointment had an hour and a half long wait. Please schedule your flu shot elsewhere.

Came with my mother for a walk in flu and vaccine shot. There was a wait time as appointments were prioritized but the service was good and couldn't ask for a better guy to administer our shots than Dr. Kalpesh. Experience was better than we expected going in. ?

Pharmacists and technicians at 21 Rand Road, Des Plaines, are the best in NW suburbs. That includes Rx refills, Covid testing, and vaccinations.

Blonde employee with the ponytail needs some training on how to be kind to customers. No manners. Unbelievable.

I advise everyone to STAY AWAY from this Walgreens location. My boyfriend is a disabled Army Veteran who has a medical exemption from wearing the mask due to his extreme condition, etc. Steve, the manager on duty/shift lead is the employee that completely triggered a PTSD episode in store. When we walked into the store, Steve yelled across the store that we needed to wear a mask not asking us politely to wear a mask in the store, completely being ignorant to the fact that some people are safer to those around them not wearing a mask. If my boyfriend has something covering his face, he completely freaks out. We proceeded to the drink aisle. Steve followed us on our toes (no social distancing or care for personal space) and grabbed disposable masks with his bare, dirty hands that smelled like the Marlboro cigarettes he had in his shirt pocket and shoved his hand into my boyfriend's chest. Physically assaulting him. This triggered an episode. Steve then proceeded to scream that we were not being served and to, "...Get the f$# out of my store." My boyfriend informed Steve that we can leave the money on the counter for everyone's safety. Steve then again screamed, "No the f#$% you aren't!" My boyfriend asked for some space. The other shift lead on duty said, "It's okay that he's in your space because he's wearing a mask." This isn't even logical. Then Steve proceeded to call the police on a disabled Army Veteran who wanted to buy a soda for dinner. While explaining to the police that we solely went to Walgreens to get some Pepsi, we were asked to not come back ever again. Mind you this customer is a man who fought for America's freedom, liberties and right to pursue whatever happiness people see fit without people like him- the Steves of the world disturbing others' peace. My boyfriend first-handedly fought for the right to walk into a local drugstore grab a soda and purchase it without being harrassed. He's a CIB recipient. For those of you who do not know what a CIB is, please look it up.

Avoid this pharmacy. They lost a prescription of mine in the past. I gave them a second chance. When filling another prescription, I received a call telling me my prescription was delayed. After waiting on hold for 8 minutes, someone form the pharmacy finally picked up and told me they were out of stock. I asked if the prescription could be transferred to another Walgreens that had the medicine in-stock. The person asked if I wanted to call around or if they should. I asked if they could. When this person came back from being on hold, it turns out they have the medicine to fill my prescription. Very frustrating experience...

I like the drivethru but I wish they could hear you better. Hold times on the phone can get insane... over 10 minutes. But they are generally very courteous at this location.
