This postal service is by far the worst in Illinois, and possibly the entire United States

people, even if it’s your enemy’s order, you’re unlikely to get it here, because they’re looking for some kind of confirmation documents, as if I’m here in court and I need every little document. I have a message that my package is here, why can’t I pick up my package? I showed them my ID.

This is a very terrible post office and some of its delivery workers. I found a torn open package containing an annual magazine subscription in my locked mailbox , the contents of the magazines were stolen . Only the postman of this post office could tear apart the package and take out and take away from the plastic bag the magazines that I buy by subscription and stuff the scraps of the contents of the package into a locked mailbox but the postman takes out the gift attachment in the form of a travel guide magazine and takes it for himself. The bank also sent a bank card, but the envelope with the bank card did not reach my mailbox and was stolen. The mailbox is then locked. Therefore, if residents of Des Plaines can get a bank card directly from the bank, it is better to get a bank card at the bank branch itself.

This postal service is by far the worst in Illinois, and possibly the entire United States. The staff are consistently unhelpful and seem more interested in making up excuses than actually resolving issues. It's not just that the service is poor; there are also serious concerns about the security and integrity of deliveries. This level of negligence is unacceptable and creates a significant risk for anyone needing secure and reliable postal services.
The frustration, stress, and unreliability experienced with this USPS location make it not worth the risk. Opt for a more trustworthy location to ensure your peace of mind and the safe delivery of your important

Employees closed it 15 minutes before closing time despite plenty of customers needing help.

Could be worse. Please stop delivering mail after 6:00 PM, this is ridiculous. The delivery driver comes at like 7 what is going on.... I need my stuff by 5. There are also elderly people, who cant go out during the nighttime. USPS in 2024 is the worst its ever been. Now a very small percent of packages never deliver, never had these issues for the past 10 years. USPS needs an overhaul.

An actual functioning post office that is far far better than the location on Lee St. I’ve sent out packages through this location for years now and have not been disappointed once.

If you need help or have any questions, absolutely do not go to this location. The front desk lady said NOTHING besides the prices. When I had questions she just nodded. They tried to charge me 70 dollars for less then two pounds, which is outrageous but it is what it is.
When I said I wasn't going to pay it, she still charged me 8 dollars for the box. I was under the impression that it was the slower shipping. Because she literally didn't say a word with a shifty attitude.
She did not tell me I was paying for the box I have to throw in the garbage. She didnt tell me -anything- She was incredibly misleading and rude. I walked out of there paying for some garbage I have to throw away. Why would I buy the box if I'm not shipping it? She needs to be trained, terrible customer service.

Very dangerous driver on 2338223 ? She suddenly jumped out onto the road in front of me, while talking on the phone while driving.

Had to wait ten minutes got the two people to decide to talk to customers. Then when I said I wanted to take a picture of the label and tracking number I was told to go to the back of the line. One of the worst post offices I’ve ever been to. Obviously union.

Ghetto, ignorant, and slow workers. They’re all miserable and try to talk to you smart when you asking simple yes and no questions. Don’t even bother saying thank you when they finally do their job.
