My son and I drove over an hour today to come here. We went in and sat at the counter. I was very uncomfortable because I have back issues and really need a foot rest and there is nothing to rest your feet on. I asked if we could please sit at a booth and was told no. I explained I was very uncomfortable and she didn’t care one bit. Was told the booth was for more than 2. It was 3 pm mind you and not very busy. So we left. No food. My money walked out your door. What a waste of our afternoon and disappointment. The small glance at the menu we had it looks quite expensive for burgers and fries.

We live literally 5-8min away walking, but we never took the decision to go until a couple of days ago. We tried double cheese burger and regular burger with bacon (they come with fries!) onion rings and a chocolate milkshake. They were all delicious, good portions and very reasonable prices. They have a train where they deliver your food, mostly is an experience for kids, but is different. The service was nice too. They get suuuper busy on weekends, so you have to be prepare because there are not that many spaces to sit. In any case, I believe worth the wait. The place opened a long time ago and after having been closed a couple of times they came back. You can read its history on their website! Recommended.Parking: The place has its own dedicated space for parking, I would say it has room for around 20 cars. Since is so close to my house, we walk there but it's always super full and I still can see a couple of spaces. Also, there are a couple of areas around that you could find some parking space if you find that one full.

Great spot for kids and hanging out. Prepare to use quarters for the little rides and toy mahcines. The only issue is the food is very mid. With a few minor changes they could make a lot better food that tastes a lot better.

Hadn't been there in about 70 years and took 1 of our Grsndsons. He had a wonderful time watching the train travel around the counter. I had some really great food!

Interesting place definitely a place for kid's atmosphere. A friend of mine takes a train to the Rose bowl every year and she is a paddle pusher. She puts roses on the floats. When she was there this year, they told her about this place in Illinois called the Choo choo Hamburger place when she was in California. Therefore, when she came in the town to visit me, we had to go to this place. And yes, if you're wondering, they definitely have a train that drives around to deliver your food to you.Kid-friendliness: There is kids rides kids toys. Kids are amused by trains...

We have been going to choo choo for 50 years and this was the first time it was absolutely terrible. They were super busy and wanted to move tables quickly. As soon as we got our food they gave us the check and asked us to pay. They started to clear our table before the kids were finished eating. Then they told us they were going to move us to a different area and we were supposed to finish there. We decided to leave early which was their intention anyways. The older gentleman there was rude but the other staff was ok.

I love this place. It brings me so much joy to come here. The food is diner level good and the service is super friendly. Keep in mind this place is tiny so you may have to wait a bit, so not a good idea to bring starving kids. Another tips, have some quarters for the machines and the horse ride. You know your kiddo will be begging to do it!

Definitely set for 'younger' customers, but we are young at heart. So we went for dinner one night. (3 women over 60yrs of age). Two of us had never been. Limited menu, but offers some variety - burgers, hot dogs, chili, chicken sandwich & I believe I even saw a salad on the menu. Burger & fries were good. Service was good. Food IS REALLY delivered on a Choo Choo Train!!

This place has the nostalgia of a 1950s early 60s sock hop. Good music good food. The strawberry malt was really great. Couple of things to keep your young ones occupied while the food comes. Can get pretty busy and they will run out of seating pretty quickly.Parking: There's a 3-hour free parking lot next to it

There's no reason to move a family of 3 from the booth to the bar with 2 toddlers. The restaurant was empty and my family was scolded to move to the bar at 3:30pm, simply because only one item was ordered. The server let them know that if you only order one thing you have to move. Well, they left without ordering more due to the rudeness of the staff. Since the management has changed, the service has gone down the tubes. Tried to address this issue and was told you have to call back because there's no manager and we're not allowed to take your info or give out their number. I'm sure if it was needed to accommodate another group they would have moved... but again the only other occupied booth was the servers daughter. Hypocrisy at its best. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Everything was fine until we were asked to move for not ordering enough. Went for a quick snack at 3:00 and left with the worst first experience.
