The butcher was blatantly rude with a huge attitude, even in front of the female cashier. The cashier did nothing to help, enabling him even more. The female cashier was off-putting and not helpful with finding the products I needed, so 1/5 on customer service. The quality of the meat is good, but the prices of most of the meats is sinfully high. Doesn't Owais understand these are not "halal" prices? The average price for Zabiha chicken breast is $3/pound. They are currently charging $6/pound! Outrageous! This is why maby Muslim sisters and brothers are saying they are switching to non-zabiha meat....because at least they get fair halal prices on the market with them. Owais, why contribute to this problem? Instead of being a slave to the "almighty" dollar, why not be vigilant about the Muslim Ummah and the problem you are contributing to?

They are expensive.There price is higher than other stores.But the worst part is the butcher at the store.He is so rude and arrogant.Firstly he made order wrong and secondly when requested for extra packet,he is showing attitude.Lady is the front is humble.I don't want to go their now.There are many halal stores now, let me try them

Simple Indo/Pak grocery store. They do their best to give good customer service. I specifically had an incident and through that incident, I'll claim that they are honest people. I'm glad to be a regular.

Owais Foods is an excellent family-owned business. They have high-quality products and food. I really had a pleasant stay and experience at this place. Their selections are huge and wide. They have chicken, beef, and other meats. All of it is fresh and quality. You can also buy some of their cold cuts and frozen goods. Such a clean, organized, and decent store.

Really disappointed they charge double price for everything. I bought Al Safa beef burgers they sell it for 18.99 for 6 burgers. All their frozen stuff is expensive I think I will get it elsewhere.

After Friday prayer I went for groceries on this store. When I asked for the basket he said we don’t have it even 1 or two customers present in the store, they are hardly carrying their stuffs in hands and I can’t carrying my groceries too and dropped many times I asked again you guys have lot of baskets in your store, then he said we don’t have any more I ask why sir I can’t carry the stuff, I told him give me shopping bags, he replied get lost, get out from here and blah blah…. They didn’t care about the loyal customers and they are talking very rudely with the customers.

This is the nicest place I have ever been to. Owais Foods is an excellent family-owned business. They have high-quality products and food. I really had a pleasant stay and experience at this place. Their selections are huge and wide. They have chicken, beef, and other meats. All of it is fresh and quality. You can also buy some of their cold cuts and frozen goods. Such a clean, organized, and decent store. Their staff is very nice, decent, friendly, and very helpful. They are always willing to help and assist the customers around the place. They are also knowledgeable and can answer questions from customers. Great customer service. Owais Foods also offers halal foods and some goods from Pakistan. They are the only store that has halal meat and food. Really love this store! Their location is very easy to find and very convenient. It was a pleasure for me to experience how great this place is and its staff. They all know how to treat the customers so well. Definitely a gem in this area of Des Plaines. Great prices and quality products. The only problem for me is the smell in some parts of the place, it probably came from the meats. But still, the place is worth visiting. I would really love to recommend this place to all of my friends and family so that they can also experience the great service. Owais Foods is phenomenal! Thank you for the pleasant experience! Will see you guys again soon! Kudos!

Like all Desi grocery stores, Owais foods is well stocked with aisles overflowing with items. There are multiple selections of rice and other staples and many other good items. There is a meat section where you can get zabiha halal meat, though it was barely stocked today. We went there on our way back from further north and we wanted to buy some rabri, a delicious milk solids based sweet. There's a whole section of delicious sweets from Pakistan. Only issue was that we were not allowed to use the restroom even when we bought a lot of sweets and stuff. None of the neighboring stores or restaurant allowed our 16 years old and I to take a leak including the zabiha halal taqueria next door, which incidentally is owned by a friend. Name dropping did not help and we had to rush to the Mobil nearby to relieve ourselves. The rabri was delicious when we tasted it after getting back home.
