Stay away from this place they are in it for the money not for your pets. They killed one of my cats and because of a mess up they did. Horrible place

I was quite disappointed with my experience at Oak Elm Hospital. My puppy needed a round of vaccines before she turned 6 months, but every time we went in, Dr. Iqbal took her to the back. This felt weird and unprofessional, and it made me uncomfortable.
Dr. Iqbal also mentioned that my puppy could be spayed at just 4 months, which didn’t seem right to me. The communication was lacking; there was barely any explanation about procedures or options. Overall, I felt a disconnect between the staff and the animals, and I won’t be returning.

Not bad. Generally average. Disappointed with the emotional connection that the staff lacked with my dogs. But all in all, it’s a decent place. Not great, not bad.

This place is amazing. They're very respectful of your fur baby, time and wallet. They explain everything, help guide you to the right path for your babies wellbeing. And don't make you feel bad when something is out of budget. I've gone to several places around the area. And Oak Elm is more than a 5 star review. Plus, they're super clean.

Dr Igbal took such great care of my cat Slick! I brought in my 10 year old cat after he had broken a tooth. After exam we found out he had other issues with his teeth as well. Surgery was done same day and my fur baby was back home before dinner.
The Dr showed me all the X-rays and bloodwork that he had done. He explained everything that was going on and what he did.
My cats behavior tells me that he’s already feeling better. By 9pm my cat was back to acting like his normal spunky self with just a little bit of drowsiness.
The price was fair, and nothing was done without my consent. The staff was very kinda and the facility is nice and clean. Slick will continue to receive his care there! Thanks Dr for taking such good care of my fur baby!!

Very knowledgeable and friendly. Even though they were busy and it was a Sunday they took the time needed to help our dog with his injuries. We will definitely be back for all of our veterinary needs.

Brought my cat in here for some limping, the vet took X-rays and it looked like an arthritis problem. He told us he would give her a pain/anti inflammatory injection and that he recommended we come in monthly for them.
When I got the receipt back I found out that she had been given Solensia as well, which is totally different from any anti inflammatory and I guess that must have been what he meant by monthly injections? He was very unclear and I don't appreciate that she was given this medication without my knowledge or being able to research it first.
The pain medicines he sent us home with didn't help much over the next week and she went downhill, was unable to eat or sleep comfortably for a night which prompted us to take her into another vet. That vet did blood work and found her red cell count was very low.
Ended up having to take her to an urgent care and she stayed there for two nights with a suspected gastric ulcer most likely caused by all the medications she was given at oak elm for the original visit.
I'm very unhappy with the lack of communication when it comes to what my pet was injected with and side effects from the medications given here cost us well over $5,000 and several sleepless nights. On the plus side, they can usually get you in quickly.

I had to take a friendly feral kitty in for a few tests, I was referred here by the shelter that took care of her, mind you, this is a feral that was just spayed a week ago and had a full workup, through the shelter. If she was healthy enough I was going to take her in with my other cats. When I walked in receptionist was great, super friendly, very clean office. But, in my opinion, doctor was not gentle at all with the cat, zero compassion, exam seemed very rushed, didn't really explain some of the other issues she had, just wanted to do more blood tests. I have been to vets that were very gently and you could tell they genuinely cared for your pet, I did not feel that here, from the doctor. Was very disappointed when I left.
