I'm a lyft driver don't rent from this location im very disappointed at some workers that works there they never answer there phone don't know why but u better hope your life not depends on calling them

Honestly, this is a bad place to rent a car. I reserved a premium electric car one week before renting it. I arrived at the place and was told that they did not have the car in stock that I reserved. Its price, including taxes, was $343, plus a deposit of $200, which is refunded. Offer me a Tesla for $510 a week - that's very expensive. At the same time, the attitude towards customers is at a very low level. Yes, they are friendly and smiling, but I personally didn’t like it. I wasted my time and was left without a car. No wonder they have a very low rating - it matches them.

Terrible. 1 hour wait times. Chaotic. Makes you sign in and then proceed to take care of everyone else at random. Won't be returning going anywhere else.

When I asked to pay the balance that I owed with Hertz, the clerk told me to call the Do Not Rent List, I'm never coming back, you guys caused my credit card to be over the limit instead of letting me change payment methods. To anyone that want to rent at that location and Des Plaines Illinois from Hertz don't do it.I had a hard-time doing the winter trying to make good on fares and I was limited to doing ten fares daily by the way and when I was trying to pay I was put on the Do Not Rent List, the service was very egregious, I will never go to that location ever again, I rather chase a chicken through a freaking minefield than to go back. I have to say Joshua at Hertz deserve to be a manager as far as the others go, you a need new staff. That location shirks communication bigly.Totally unprofessional and people don't take work serious there.Oh and PS, the only one that took his job very seriously is Josh and the others looked at it as a social club it's like when you try to conduct business co-workers be trying to hold conversations with each other and don't take work serious. Not in this life time or ever will patronize Hertz.

Rental through insurance so I thought it should be all covered as I get $45/day for 30 days or $1350 max. My car in the shop (Tesla) so I asked the guy (his name is Travis I think) if it’s possible to get a Tesla under my limits and he hooked it up so I was happy.Issue 1 (vehicle condition): When leaving I noticed all the wheels were curbed, bad smell in the car and lots of warning lights. He told me it’s good to drive as it just came back from service (blatant lie). Later that night while on the highway heater stopped working and it said speed limited to 60mph. Had to spend 2 hours at hertz at ORD trying to get a manual exchange processed.Issue 2 (billing): when picking up I was told by Travis he can “hook me up” and get a model y under my limits. The initial contract was printed for 20 days at $28/day. The rental was extended by insurance to 30 days but when returning the receipt showed 30 days @ $45/day so they charged insurance for the max $1350 but then charged me $215 for taxes and fees. If the rate had stayed at the original $28/day then taxes and fees would’ve been covered as the total would not have been more than $1350 which is max insurance would pay.If only the guy told me up front the model y wouldn’t be covered I wouldn’t have taken the model y.

They take forever and they will give you a dirty car that smells like weed and they expect you to return it clean they gave me a hard time because it wasn’t vacuumed properly even though I went over it three times with the vacuum

Just do not go there, do not rent with them. Poor customer service. They will tell you - hey, you watchu need with the angry face. And won’t help you figure out your problem anyway.
