I went in and needed assistance with a transaction . I would not recommend that anyone goes to Jessica for help , she was very rude and condescending and didn’t want to do the duties of her job .

Today, I was racially discriminated against at the Old National Bank located at 749 Lee St. Des Plaines, IL 60016. I went to collect a refund check from my insurance company United Auto Insurance located at 2340 S. River Rd. Des Plaines, IL 60016. The check was made out to me from my insurance company. And they happen to bank with Old National Bank. When I left the agents office, I went to the bank to cash the check because I wanted COH. I’m not customer myself, but most banks will let you cash a check if it’s from their bank. I was meet by 3 women bank tellers. Banker Teller 1 initially told me no. She then passed me along to Banker Tellers 2&3. They both took the check, my DL and my employee ID WHILE also writing down the information of my DL. Banker Teller 3 then proceeds to question me. Now I know it’s a verification process to check the validity of check, funds, etc. “Why is the check dated for the 27th and you’re picking it up today?” “Well, why did you come to THIS Old National Bank???” “Well, where did you pick up the check from????” At that point, I felt uncomfortable. But I answered all the questions honestly and respectfully. Even offered to call the insurance agent to prove the validity of the check, which Bank Teller 2&3 both told me no, it was no need for that. Bank Teller 2 continues to do the “verification” process. Everything finally goes “green”. She even ask me how would I like my money. I asked for $20s. She then proceeds to send the money through the money counter. As she’s getting ready to give me the money and my ID, she then goes to the back of the bank, returns back to me. She then hands me back the check and my ID, tells me that they can’t cash the check, as she has the money in her hand. I ask why, she says that my insurance company messed something up, I need to call them. I leave the bank and go to my car and call the insurance company. Explained everything in detail about what I had went through in the bank. As I’m on the phone, I did the mobile deposit option for my Chase account. Did all the steps, check cleared INSTANTLY. My insurance company informed me that this is not the first time they’ve heard this. So……someone needs to be held accountable. And I’m going to make sure that happens. So if someone can tag the news outlets in this, it’ll be greatly appreciated. I’m going to go talk to a couple lawyers cause I’m pretty sure I have a discriminatory case. Old National Bank, I’m ashamed at how I was treated by you today. I was nothing but respectful and professional during that whole process, even though I was treated less than. I will be reaching to corporate about this. Good Day ???.

There is no option on automated telephone banking to speak to rep any longer. Call c/s #, get transferred back to automated system. Call the branch, get sent to c/s tel#, then to automated WHERE YOU CAN"T TALK TO ANYONE!!!!!!!

Very slow, especially in the drive-through and the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with at a bank

Worst bank ever. Old lady at drive thru she don’t want to take 2 days deposit like what is that kind of behavior. She never gives change and always tells me that she don’t have it or she’s by herself so go inside and get it. She always does that what’s the point of having business account with them. Never going back again. Worst experience ever.

They bought First midwest bank, I have often spent up too an hour at a time seemingly not getting through to customer service. So I moved my money out of the savings at national bank where upon they charged me 5$ service fee. This is not a bank, this is a scam with no care for customers. I am moving all my money out. They can charge me whatever they want, I refuse to pay this horrendous institution. 5$ maintenance fee? for what? a phone line that nobody answers

On hold to speak to customer service 16+ mins and counting as I write this review. Safety deposit hours cut so now I have to take off work to access my box. No reply to email sent asking about CD rates. No reply to inquiry about other investing and related fees. Never received a new ATM card when Old National took over First Midwest. So long Old National!

Banked at 1st Midwest for several decades, never a problem till they became 'Ol Nate'... Fewer humans means worse customer service...Attempting to compete with "on-line financial institutions" is a Huge Mistake... Their niche is "In-Person Banking", if I wanted to "Bank" with the same device I use to play games & access the ever more UNsecure internet, I would do it with an institution that offers better interest rates...

Most of my banking is done online, however, an order of blank checks was stolen from me when the UPS person just dropped my package in the lobby of my condo building and not my front door. The banking manager went over my checking account with me, made sure there were no checks being made and closed my checking account. The bank manager made sure that all future checks get delivered to my PO Box and transferred my old checking account into a new one along with a new ATM card.I like working with small regional banks since the big ones will charge an arm and a leg to service my account, and during the 2008 crisis, First MIdwest and it's previous Covest Bank was never in trouble financially.
