A huge disappointment to walk in this neglected market. Lack of staff, low fridge temps for food storage .. Some fabric packed sweets are good but homemade ones not fresh.Very pricy.

Little old market that is still family run. I stop in for feta cheese, kalamata olives, and frozen take and bake spanokopita. Yum!

I was there January 6th 2024 is not the busy place I remember from 35 years ago sad to see that the community does not support this place But service was great for the cheese and olives that I wanted then the man asked if I wanted the fresh bread he's baking sure I do I ate that bread all the way home so good So I ask people please support this original place so it does not disappear I'm sure the old Greek men that ran the place 35 years ago have all passed away and the elderly women at the register is just about the last person standing Give this place another chance please

Delicious homemade food stuffs; great selection of spices, Greek cheeses and other imported products. The mom could come from central casting and truly cares about each and every customer. Otoh, the sons are ...Jk. It's a terrific, well-run and very clean small, local grocer that I'm delighted is within waking distance from my place of work. I wish they opened earlier at least a few days each week.

Made a few visits here for hard-to-find ingredients. The owner is a pleasure to deal with, and the Yaya up front reminds me deeply of my Italian American grandmother.

The wide range of product available at such a reasonable price made this my go-to shopping destination. From fresh produce to pantry staples, I can always count on finding great deals without compromising on quality.

Always-helpful staff + tasty and authentic fresh bakery items. Truly old-school set-up that should have more customers daily than their often seasonal appeal. I have stopped in to pick up items for several of my Greek friends, but have often returned for myself or for family festivities food -- or just for the experience. This is a perfect pit stop near Mystic Waters and near downtown Des Plaines and Pesche's. Heading south or north on Rand? Stop in.

I usually go here to get candles, livani and charcoal when I visit the cemetery. The place smells bad and they still haven't replaced the sign outside. The place seriously looks like a dump.

It was so sad going in there. I remember this place when I use to go with my mom. They had nice gifts and you were able to shop for produce and other Greek items like oil, bread, deli. Now you walk in and it's like a storage space for liqueur. Boxes everywhere. No gifts anymore. I even said something to the owners daughter asking if it was going down. I said it looks so bad. She said it was 30 years ago. I'm like yeah this is a shame. May as well sell it. Geez

Used to work with the owner, Paul. He is a rude ogre who is completely disrespectful to his customers. I called the owner of my company right away to tell them we don't need to do business with him anymore. The other locations had already cut ties with him because of his behavior. He is a despicable person and I encourage you to find a better place for greek fare.

I had not been there in over 40 years and it was pretty much the same, family-owned Greek grocery store... OPAA!
