I have shopped at this store for over 10 years. Spent a lot of money. I bought a bottle of Redken Frizz dismiss yesterday and when I got home it was leaking all over. Called the store and was told that I must have dropped it. As it wasn’t leaking when I left. How do they know it wasn’t leaking? If I would have dropped it I would never have called. I am an honest person and was hoping they would do the right thing. Time to find a new store. Very sad.

There is this girl that works there that has beautiful curls, I walked in having issues with my curls, and she gave me the best advice I have ever gotten. I wish I would’ve gotten her name because she is phenomenal!

Went into Ulta yesterday because i wanted a new plumping lip gloss and as i was browsing a worker from afar had asked me “what do you need, do you need something” it came off persistent and hostile. mind you i wasn’t looking at her nor her direction. she seemed to be in her 50’s i didn’t get her name however she should know better than to not approach people in that manner, it’s quite rude considering i was going on about my business.. when i told her i was looking for a plumping lip gloss all she said said was to “look over there, there are plenty of plumping glosses” as i was in the higher end cosmetics.. she was implying the “affordable” section by the way.. which felt super off. very unethical. needs improvement.

first off, I have really bad skin and wanted to expand my skin care. I picked up 2 things from the ordinary and the girl at the counter told me to get stuff from good molecules because she saw the state of my skin. good molecules has cleared up my skin and I will thank the worker with my life because I have had acne for 11 years and nothing has worked as well as these products.

Most of the employees are great, but I asked one employee working in cosmetics near the NYX section if there was an eyeliner sharpener so I could sharpen the testers. As she took one eyeliner from my hand and began walking away, I said several more need sharpening. This employee acted as if she didn’t hear me when she returned, handed me the eyeliner, and walked away again. I walked up to her and asked if there was a sharpener I could use on the other broken off pencils. She looked at me, said just a moment, walked away, and I waited….and waited. I finally heard her voice and as she walked back to where she initially stood, she quickly glanced at me and turned her body away from me. It wasn’t like I was asking her to sharpen them for me. she is either lazy, not customer service oriented, or doesn’t care to sell product, or all of the above.

Went to find a new foundation and asked for some assistance. After waiting a few minutes the lady told me how to find my shade and when I went to purchase product it was out of stock. I told the lady and she said to have it mailed in a few days to my home well I didn’t want it in a few days and I went to ask her about what would be a great alternative brand for foundation she was too busy talking to another employee about their colors and weekend. There really is zero effort in customer assistance or trying to help. Luckily Sephora is in kohls’ they had my exact foundation I matched at ulta, and of course rare beauty. Ulta definitely missed out of my sale, and in fact will just stick to Sephora they were completely stocked and the lady there was so helpful and friendly

DeKalb, ULTA is my favorite ever!!!! Every time I’ve visited this store I’ve been treated fantastically!!!!I especially want to thank Gerri and Macy for the help this past Friday!!!! Great job Ulta!!!

The most professional helpful and kind employees work at this location! The store is always clean and employees are so helpful!Many times I have been in and every one always welcomes me and asks if I need assistance and others I hear get asked the same from everyone. It's nice to feel positive energy and team work where I shop. The managers are hands on helpingand assisting others.

Can’t say enough about my brows. Taken to a whole new level. My brows were very light in color and scarce. With a recommendation from the specialist, I had them tinted and was shown how to fill them in to make them appear fuller. So pleased with Hannah’s work. I feel it changed my whole appearance. Would definitely recommend!!

Worst brow and tint experience.I regularly get my brows tinted and waxed so I know what to expect.- My brows barely had any color added to them.- She added brow tint to make them look darker and told me I could come back to get them the way I wanted them done in a week- pay another $50.- I also had strings of wax out on my brows that was never removed. Hands down worst experience ever! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

The ulta beauty in Dekalb has the absolute best customer service I have ever received in my life. Everyone is so helpful and caring. And I love shopping here, would 100% recommend!!! ❤️❤️❤️

The Ulta DeKalb, IL store is an extremely poor representation of a major beauty retailer. Their last manager possessed all the necessary qualities including actually wearing their cosmetic lines which is an important selling point. The present “manager,” Nicky, is rude, ill-tempered and dismissive and the “assistant mgr.” is exactly the same and can’t seem to answer questions. Most of the caps on the hairspray I purchase are missing and some of the displays are questionable. Recently, I was treated unfairly and disrespectfully by both “managers” neither of which had the correct information. I can truthfully say that people in this area have an absolutely negative opinion of this store. For many years this store has had a two-star rating and now immediately rose to 4.5 and the store certainly hasn’t improved and in fact, has declined with the new “management.” I now, along with many others, shop at the Ulta in Geneva, IL which is truthfully a Five-Star store and is managed by professional and caring individuals.
