1st time visiting this location. Mainly went to grab some meats and didn't look around much after that, seemed busy when i went around 6pm. the cashier lady was nice but the dude that bagged the groceries wouldn't move so I could grab my bags with out reaching over something or try to hand them to me.

If I can give this place 0 stars I would. Maggie is extremely rude to both customers and employees. I have come to this jewel on several occasions. She goes above and beyond to just be nasty for no reason. She displays horrible customer service and treats both customers and employees horribly. This is so sad. And she's apart of the management team?? And what's worse is instead of fixing the problem they allow her to constantly disrespect people who both SHOP and WORK at jewel. Not a good look.

Everything that isn’t on sale, is up charged about 2x of what the price should be. If you don't believe me, compare their prices to walmart, heck even compare the stuff on “sale” to walmart and you’ll see Jewel is either the same price or more expensive. Example being a 16 ct of Ferrero Rocher chocolate is $3 more here (see photos.)
Not only that, I got called out because they thought the cashier forgot to scan the water on the bottom of my cart when she already did while I was trying to leave. I’d understand if they reacted as if it was a mistake, but they treated and reacted like we were trying to steal it.
Overall, discounted stuff majority of the time is on par with other stores, while the rest of the items are priced a lot higher.

We're so done with this store. It's bad enough that they sell out of everything posted in their weekly ad THE MORNING it goes on sale. Pub burgers? Gone. Chicken breast? Gone. Zucchini? Gone. All by 10 a.m. the day their sales start.Tonight was the final straw. Stood at the meat counter for 20 minutes. FINALLY a super rude employee came out from the back and when we asked for help he said "Oh, meat counter is closed for the night. The closing employee called in." And he just walked away. Mind you it was only 6 P.M. And we just wanted a piece of fish that was RIGHT THERE, super easy. Gee, that sounds like YOUR problem, Jewel. Maybe get one of the damn managers that stand around there all day gabbing to each other instead of working and put them behind the counter? Unbelievable.

The words on my cake were tiny and smashed into the cake you couldn't even read it I let the person know before I left she said there was nothing she could do about it since she didn't make the cake. Ruined my experience, this cake was for my son's second birthday.

With rising prices on everything from gas to food, jewel in Dekalb has tried to help out the consumer, with their grocery bill, anyway posable with coupons and buy one get one free or buy one get other half off things like that...it not on all thing or everyday, but ever little thing helps...and the employees are helpful ?

Every time I feel like a pint of ice-cream I go in there, the defroster is always jacked up, and the ice-cream is all melted. Sure when I go to the meat isle and it's half a day past the pull date they are like a bunch of jack boot thugs... but for dairy products that got way to warm and melted and refroze, yeah leave that toxic sludge on the shelf indefinitely. Three times now, I'm done with this trash jewel.
