went in to pick up order. Manager Megan was to busy talking with an associate rather than help. Bad way to run a store and bad attitude for a manager.

Went to return a ceiling fan which stopped working after calling and confirming it was within the 90 day period with original receipt. Mr.Toni from electrical who was to check made a huge deal about it and was being very rude to us. Even after requesting a store credit, he insisted he won't accept the return. When asked if I can speak with the store manager he lied to us stating he is the store manager while it shows in the app that it is Ms Leena G. Went to Vernon Hills store and Mr. Derek the one who processed the return was so pleasant and helpful. FYI: We had called the manufacturer and the HD customer care before bringing the fan in and was confirmed it is within warranty and can be returned with no hassles which is what happened at Vernon Hills location.

I'm a pro contractor and I've complained to management several times and nothing changes. People working departments, such as electrical or, and don't know anything about it. Also depends on which store employee helps you. They do have a few with good customer service. Hit or 2020Awful mistracking of inventory inconveniences customers too much. Online always shows more in stock than what's actually there. When you ask the store if there is more stock at another store they sigh heavily at you because it is a major inconvenience for them to help a regular professional contractor customer.Wonder how inconvenienced they are when it comes to properly disinfect against COVID-19!.2020Again they are out of stock of an electrical part that is not commonly sold. Had to go to Glenview store to get them.2019Lazy employees not bringing flatbeds back so u gotta grab one yourself from outside. The last straw was when there was only one check out person available while no self check out working. Just a very poorly-managed store and people should avoid it. I buy supplies off Amazon instead.

I go to this location prob 2-3x a week over the last 3 months. Everyone does the best they can for being a high volume location pinned against a strips of fast food. Other HD near by are out of red mulch, stones, gutters or just random stuff but this location runs out and restocks. I was behind a woman whom was returning flowers and complaining for over 20-25 minutes because she planted them in March and didn't cover or any other protection. It was mid June when she decided to go "Karen" on everyone in the store and talk to the manager's manager's manager. I was expecting her to ask for the Home Depot board members' personal information next.Customers just need to chill out and get over themselves. Curbside pickup is easy as you can put in your spot location on your order login or text it. This location also has a wider selection of crown molding that others done near by. I would like to add an employee named Greg who was picking online / curbside orders I'm guessing was super helpful and charming on my last visit. He helped me located some patio furniture that comes in multiple boxes and give us inventory levels at the Randhurst location. Put on your mask, shut up and give the employees a break cause we're all in this together.

I often find the staff of this location to be rude and unhelpful, particularly the Customer Service Desk. Today I placed an online order for in store pickup. When I arrived I realized I needed a few more items. I got a cart, picked up the items and a few plants and headed to the customer pick up area, stood in line and waited. The lady named Jacel looked up from her computer and pointed toward the check out are at the other end of the store and said "check out is down there". I told her I had an online order to pick up. Her only response was "Well, do you have the order number?" I provided the order number, she pulled out a cart with my item, printed a receipt and handed it to me with no other words. I asked if I could purchase the other items I had picked up and she said "Nope, check out is down there and pointed". I asked if I could leave one cart there since I had no way to push two carts at one time. She said sure but you will have to go to checkout, pay, take those items to your car, come back in to get this cart and go out the exit where checkout is located. "One entrance, one Exit!!" This young lady named Jacel could have offered to walk the second cart to my car or any other form of assistance but offered to be completely rude instead. That frankly, is my typical at this store.

It is only fair for me to update the events after my previous review of the store. I had sent an email to Home Depot corporate which led to an apology email and call from the store manager and corporate customer service. They had sent some one to pick up the 15 buckets of the sealer from home and sent me a $35 gift. Certificate. They had indicated that they will counsel the guy who I had to deal with at the return desk. It turns out the guy is not a manager and just lied to me. Overall I was impressed by their service recovery. So moral is to stay calm when you receive poor customer service and just write to corporate about the incident.

Just don't do it. It's been a horrid experience with the flooring department. If you're interested in purchasing the material I'd suggest just going to Floor and Decor. I'd also consider just going to Superior Flooring directly. No show for installation ... just continues to become a nightmare. No call back from the manager at Home Depot as promised ... another week has gone by ... nothing ...

Do yourself a favor, Don't ever buy Hunter Douglas shades through HomeDepot!Great in the beginning with the salesperson but the installing was incomplete, leaving a dangling electrical cord, which is part of the automatic up and down control, for $2,000, you would think that everything would be included and I would have a beautiful new shade with a perfectly adhere to the inside of the window, along the frame of my window. After two different visits, installation visits, it's still not right, very disappointed in the poor service and communications with Hunter Douglas and their installers so I called again and keep my fingers crossed they will get this right or whether they're going to force me to remove this legally and find a new company but I would not do business with Home Depot because they just don't have the follow through and make sure the installers do their job right not sure how much of it is Hunter Douglas but HomeDepot is!

I am giving the Deerfield store's Appliance Department the lowest possible rating. On a recent Saturday afternoon, I was in search of a new washer and went there as it was the closest appliance dealer to my home. I stood waiting for a salesperson to speak to for about 10 minutes. Someone finally arrived to speak to me, but he was not from the appliance department, so he made a call and said the correct person would be up to speak to me shortly. In the meantime, I looked at all available washers. 20 more minutes went by, and still no one showed up to sell me a washer. I would avoid the Deerfield Home Depot for appliance sales. Looks like they have little interest in doing this.

On our search for outdoor plants and trees, we happened to stop by Home Depot real quick before the rain came...and boy did the rain hit fast before we had much time to really dig in. We've been hunting for arborvitaes at various stops in the area. Sadly the tall ones weren't looking so hot, which is surprising considering all the amazing rain we've been having. However, the cute tiny tot ones really caught my eye. Those were in fabulous shape. The rest of the outdoor plants were nicely-priced and there was a good variety. As far as the flowers are concerned, they have every variety you can imagine. In the past there was quite a controversy over buying flowers from Home Depot due to them being preserved by neonicotinoids. I don't know if that's still the case, but I have to say I wanted to leave with an entire car load. But the rain...

I had to call Home Depot twice to find out the price of Cypress Mulch. I'm still don't know the answer. The first time, no one picked up after five minutes. The second time, I followed the prompts to be connected to Lawn and Garden. No one picked up. It transferred back to the front desk. The guy said he would transfer me to Lawn and Garden. No one picked up. I called Craftwood in Highland Park. They picked up after the second ring. On and off the phone in less than 30 second. They get my business.

Rich and Karen were extremely helpful doing a color match for me. They went above and beyond to get it right
