I don't go very often. This time, I loved the wow factor. Found something new I really wanted in the cleaning section. The store was full of merchandise, clean, and easy to shop. Seemed less busy, no lines.

First off, I appreciate that they have an employee, maybe 2 on hand? But also, no; bc the covid times have passed where gratitude for a corporation maintaining service at all have passed. I've been 4 times now since moving to the area last Fall and this was the first time an employees had been beyond rude, disrespectful, completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I went in this evening with my young daughter to purchase Easter items. We got to the checkout and there was no line and no one behind me (this lasted til last 3 minutes or so of end of transaction). Neither here nor there, the cashier was an absolute j*** from the get go. I remarked, after he stern-face scowled at my cart: "sorry, it's a lot", he scoffed. Didn't utter a word throughout. Blah blah, he scanned and I tried to help with bagging. As people got in line he became increasing agitated (I get it, as I've worked retail for 12+years, it's anxiety-inducing, but he was so nasty that my daughter wandered off bc it was just uncomfortable. Last straw was when he finished and I payed: he pulled out the receipt and literally announced it to the line of people "$201 dollars!! That's how much you spent... 157 items"... I was stunned. Like, on what planet does anyone think this is okay, normal, did he receive horrible training or is he just an awful person?? The 3 or so people in line seemed weirded out, albeit one person said "beats my record"; perhaps this was a stand-up comedy show at our expense and I didn't know? I didn't say anything other than "we're putting together Easter baskets", yet again. Insult to injury, a wood sign fell out of our cart as we left and he shouted (in a rude way, not the helpful way) "you dropped your sign!!", and smirked. You truly would have thought I'd offended him terribly somehow. Point is, while I'm grateful people like Noah are working at all, I'm pretty sure Dollar Tree can do a lot better in hiring people that aren't so "you're lucky I'm even here"; bc this type of employee, the one who torments customers at all, but especially those spending quite a bit. Noah, if you get wind of this. I'm happy to hear why you were so rude bc my 9 yo didn't certainly deserve that embarrassment. ,

Love all the things I can find here! I bought a bunch of the little wooden boxes and made a beautiful advent calendar from them for my 4 kiddos! I only wish they would bring in more clear bins so that people that would like organized homes can use these dollar tree ones instead of super expensive ones!
