Had a Ford Escape with a trashed 6F35 transmission. Ford would only put in a new one for $7,000. Why would I put in one with the same shortcomings as the one that failed? S&S rebuilt it (with upgrades) for $4,600. The car shifts smoother and performs better than it ever did. They earned my trust and any business I can send their way.

I had a very upsetting experience. They misdiagnosed the problem and put a bandaid on it once they found actual cause. But charged me almost $500. When I called to see how we could move forward I was polite and courteous. I was responded to very defensively. My teenage daughter was told to deliver me a threatening message when she picked up $100 of the $500 reimbursement. It was bad all around!

I can not express my gratitude for this buisness enough. In the past week with 2 separate vehicles we have had several issues that RJ and Matt have answered my calls and repaired all 3 issues with no problem. I can not stress enough that if you any type of mechanical issue fixed on your foreign or domestic vehicles that this is the only call you need to make. I'm very mechanically inclined (have changed a few transmissions myself) and I've used SS transmission twice now this past year (2021 and 2022) for serious repairs and have been very pleased with both the mechanical result and the customer service. The first time I used SS, the final bill was actually LESS than what had originally been quoted. The owner said he had found a less expensive kit to rebuild the valve body and passed the savings along to me. Wow -- how often does that happen??? Put SS Transmission in the "trustworthy" category!The second time I got the bad news that I either needed a complete rebuild or a new transmission. Those options were very expensive, so the owner suggested we try to find a good junk yard transmission, though of course the warranty would be much shorter. That seemed like the best option. The owner then spent several days searching databases and eventually was happy to report that he had found a transmission with significantly lower mileage than the car itself and offered the best chance of a long-term solution at a more reasonable price. We went that route and he had it installed in a single day.Overall, you'll find that SS transmission offers extremely knowledgeable transmission repair (they knew every little detail about the model of transmission I had), great customer service, and reasonable prices (transmission repair is never cheap). Was supposes to have these guys change my transmission for me qnd waited over a month for my appointment with them to get my truck done and then they proceeded to tell me I was gonna hafta wait for 2 more weeks for them to fix it. On top of all that , after I take my business else where because I can't wait that long he charges me 80 dollars for nothing, only thing he did was repair tool scan. I will never go back to this place of business nor recommend anyone ever to go to him and he has a terrible attitude when it comes to running his business. OKs transmission turned around and got me in the very next day after I called them.Services: Auto maintenance

Needed to have my transmission rebuilt so after seeing overall good reviews we decided to use this business. Staff was professional and courteous however after picking up my car we noticed the steering wheel was off centered so we called to have it corrected and we’re told rudely it was not their fault! It was fine when we dropped it off!! After researching it and speaking to other mechanics it was there fault! It was a costly repair and wouldn’t have taken anything but their time to fix it! Dishonest and bad customer service, do not recommend!!!!!Service: Transmission

This repair shop replaced my transmission on my bmw after others could not, in a very timely matter. The staff was professional and prompt my car was done within a week. I had not driven my car in almost a year because of the transmission I wanted to give up on my vehicle that I loved so much. If it weren’t for the knowledge and skill of the staff at S S transmission that allowed me to feel confident and comfortable with their diagnostics, estimates, and repair I would not have my BMW.
