Employees could be a bit friendlier. They will stare at you while your waiting fie them to help, and act like you are the biggest inconvenience to ever have walked in the door. Also, they talk badly about eachother to customers. I now know that one of them apperently steals cigarettes ?♀️ maybe leave all that stuff to the break room.

Great for quick stops. The few people that work here are very helpful and friendly, giving it the feel of an old neighborhood store. Hiring more people would help get the inventory off the floor and on the shelves. The self checkout needs to go. It appears DG wants to replace the cashier so they can stock shelves, this is unfortunate. Even though the employees are overworked, I have always received friendly and helpful service. The prices are a little higher than I would like to see, making it a quick stop rather than a full shop. Just a little advice. Grab a cart from outside and bring it in with you if you need one.

Just rude to us to begin with while speaking kindly to other customers, rude racist employee, said my husband had to stay in the store with our screaming toddler after payment was processed to ensure we weren't stealing. She said it was due to theft that customers must wait until the receipt prints, but if I didn't need to keep the receipt, why would he need to stay. Why was that statement even made? Why were we accused of stealing items she rung and already accepted payment for?

Most of these places are pretty decent I like going here and different ones they have different things in them I think the one in South shores is pretty much the worst they are not organized I think they're getting a little bit better than what they were it might have been the manager that they had

Very very good food. Great service. It's hard to get past the Cheeseburger with bacon horseshoe. Add tomatoes and onions and white cheese.. yummy

Dollar General used to be a good store to go to you can get in and out quickly had fair prices it has changed a lot in the last couple years long lines while the manager is in the back hiding out miles are cluttered with carts full of merchandise if you're going in there and you can't find you need on the Shelf it's probably on one of the cards LOL understaffed I've never seen the manager helping out so I've been going to Walmart and using their curb service for my pet supplies and Dollar Tree...

Wow! This is by far the cleanest dollar general in Decatur, IL. The parking lot was clean and clear of carts and litter. Upon entering the store i was greeted by the cashier Bree, amd asked if i could be helped with anything. I told her i was looking for heartburn medication so she told me where it was. I went and got my item and as i was coming around the corner i seen her talking to an senior citizen and helping them read a product package. Its workers like her why i shop at Dollar General.
