Has horrible costumer service the staff is super rude when you ask them for help they give you a dirty look and will not ever go up to you to ask if you need help with anything. I will no longer come here to shop absolutely horrible. I do not recommend if you live near by i would rather drive to Home Depot they always provide the best service.

Bought a fridge here because of the 11%rebate and mailed in the rebate on time but never received the rebate check. Tried contacting customer service but they were unhelpful.

It's always a great experience at the Crystal Lake Menards. Staff is so friendly and they go out of their way to help assist customers (IN EVERY DEPARTMENT). They always have what I need! thank you!

We went to return a purchase that we made 3 days prior. It was an item that simply did not work well and we were not satisfied. When we walked to the counter, they requested the hardware manager to come to the front, Dawn. She came up with attitude, looked into the box and said she isn’t going to accept the return. She couldn’t give a reason why and I had asked for the return policy. She said the return policy was on our receipt and to read it. There was nothing on the receipt as well as the giant return board in front of us that said that we couldn’t return an opened item that didn’t work. She walked away without answering further questions. Jane, the front manager came over and asked what had happened. We told her we were just as confused and she asked if we wanted to speak to the store manager. I asked if we could and then Dawn storms back up and now says that she will accept the return. I asked her what had changed over the two minutes that passed, she continued to ignore me and walked away. Thankfully, Jane was helpful but very disappointed otherwise. It is not okay to pull false return information out of now where to customers and try and lie. This was over $200 that I could have lost because Dawn did not want her department numbers to go down for the day. Horrible customer service and attitude from Dawn and will not be shopping with Menards again for this reason. Buyer beware with returns and make sure you stand your ground if they try and tell you false information!!

This goes to Adam specifically, very helpful, knowledgeable and patient with all my questions regarding snow blowers, even went the extra mile and gave me information on an independent guy can use my old broken one for parts. Wanted to put out recognition to someone who still believes in customer service because sadly it does not exist anymore.

BE AWARE WHEN ORDERING "IN STORE PICK UP"Just found out they charge you to pick up in store. Everything I ordered was in stock and they charged $4, so i should've just walked through store or had delivered...shipping cost would've been cheaper.

Misleading Closing Hours - Unreliable Information!!!I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Menards. Despite the store's listed closing time of 10 PM on Google and even their phone center, I was shocked to find that they had closed their doors at 9 PM. This early closure not only disrupted my plans but also caused significant inconvenience, as I had scheduled my visit based on the information provided by their own platforms.It's unacceptable for a business to provide incorrect information to its customers. Reliability is key, and on this occasion, Menards failed to uphold this basic standard. This experience has left me questioning the reliability of the information provided by Menards and hesitant to plan future visits. I hope Menards takes this feedback seriously and ensures accurate information is relayed to its customers to avoid such frustrating situations in the future.

I'm a contractor and just needed two gallons of primer and have the customer pay for it over the phone which I do all the time. Here it goes: I asked the lady at the service station that I have a purchase I need to be paid over the phone with. I have his number when you're ready. "Ugh, we do that stuff ugh online ugh...you want to talk to our manager. "Yes". Here comes a young girl named Madison who steps on the scene. She says you need to go back to the paint department to get a ticket. OK. So I head back to the PD to get a ticket and there's 5 lazy men huddled around the computer and when one spots me he asks me if I need any help so I said I need a ticket your manager told me to get to purchase these products over the phone. He looks up at the ceiling like I just spoke Chinese then he asks the guy on the computer and he prints me the ticket. So I head back to Madison to give her the products with the ticket with the amount total and she says you need them to process...I just walked away didn't know what she said after that. They are only helpful until you ask them to actually go out of their idle way for something. They are lost at this store and make shopping a burden and a stupid headache. If I could only shop when no one is there or they fired all the idle perverse zombies then I would give it 10 stars. All these girls know how to do is lust and play on their phones. Absolutely worthless.

Very upset with my experience today. I bought two garage doors and when I went to pick them up they were sitting outside where the boxes got completely soaked to where I couldn’t even lift them without the box falling apart. Had to get a refund travel another 20 minutes out to Carpentersville to get the same product but spend another $16 in taxes. Boxes should have been wrapped in plastic or just left in the warehouse area where they would have stayed dry. Instead to store lost a sale and cost me more money, time, and gas.

Never go to this store. These people are impudent. The manager doesn't want to help. He's such a rude and arrogant man. If you need help, better go to another store.
