Seven years ago, the Crystal Lake Parks District cut down 800 trees as part of a "restoration" project. At the time, residents were told that within 3-5 years, we would start to see regrowth. Like I said, it's been 7 years, and... nothing.

In the old days we would sit by the stream and smoke joints. As we got older we sat at the table and talked about how our town was slowing dying. Nowadays I pass by fetz and remember the park that gave my youth a start.
