They make it difficult to be a consignor, when I lived in Chicago and would purge my closet I would take my clothes to consignment shops with high end clothing any day of the week they didn’t have a strict schedule. They refused to take three jackets one suede two leather and the way they looked at me as I walked in the shop , they had already judged me. So I will take my jackets and donate them to a shelter where they will be more appreciative!

Read the website that they do take home furnishings. The lady very abruptly told me only clothing and was just rude and hung up

I love that I can come here and get very gently used clothing for my growing children, and save money on name brands

I have been a consignor here for years-- started at the old location when they switched owners. I've also liked shopping here for my kids. I know there are complaints on here about the pricing at DT, and if you don't like it, then go elsewhere. If I don't agree with a pricing, I don't get it. It's that simple! Ha. You have to decide if you really want the item to pay $X-- just like anything. And the price tag gets lower every few weeks, so that's pretty cool. Maybe I don't want to pay full price for this item, but I'll check it out in a couple weeks when the price lowered and then I might want to buy it. But there are lots of sales and discounts on items throughout the year which are pretty good. You can find unique things here which is really cool!
My one complaint is that I really feel like the staff has become less friendly! ☹ I saw two staff members there the other day that I didn't recognize, so is that partially why? I miss the days where you'd walk in and immediately get a "hello!" from the woman with the reddish hair (Robin??) from wherever she was in the store. She's always been really sweet and friendly. The woman with the brown hair and glasses was at the previous location too and she is also very sweet. There is another woman who had curly blonde hair and she never greets me or just says hi when she passes me in the store. I don't get it. I don't ever ask for help, I don't bother anyone, I bring items for you guys to sell, and I'm invisible. I went the other day and someone was being checked out at the register as I walked in. In the past, they would still say hi. I looked at the cashier (curly hair lady), expecting some eye contact, getting myself ready to say "hi," (yes, I'm an awkward introvert!), and nothing. I literally walked in with my consignment items, went all the way through the store to drop them off without anyone saying a word to me. There was a lady I hadn't seen before in the back by the drops (items to be consigned), and she didn't say anything before OR after she went through my stuff. If I didn't buy anything, I probably would've gone the whole time until I walked out the door without anyone speaking to me.
I ended up buying a couple small things for my kids and the cashier (maybe someone new; I didn't recognize her), didn't even say "thank you." That is such a pet peeve of mine. I've been in retail for many years myself and that's literally the ONE thing you should say after a customer purchases something. I think she said, "Have a good one" or something like that.
I hate complaining and I really don't ask much. Maybe because I'm very quiet and don't go out of my way to say hi, so staff don't notice me? Either way, you should be greeting and thanking everyone who walks in your store. I'm glad your businesses are doing so well but please don't ignore the people who helped get you there. ?

The store appeared clean & no problems with the staff, but it's way overpriced for used second-hand items.

Love being a consigner here. A lot of my stuff isn’t selling so that stinks…. But at least it’s finally out of my house! And I also make a little bit of money which is nice

Such a cute store! I've been shopping here for years. Everyone is super friendly and helpful!! You can find everything you're looking for, from baby and kids clothes to children's toys and books. They also have women's clothing, shoes, purses and jewelry.

They are rather picky on what the accept for clothing, and can be a little on the high side initially, but you know you're going to get flawless, near new clothing!
