Our leashed dog was recently attacked by another dog in the Boulder Ridge community, Lake in the Hills. This was unprovoked as the other dog a Husky and/or German Shepard (about 75 pounds) jumped out of a rear car window, then ran about 100 feet - biting our dog (60 pounds). My back was toward the attacking dog so I was unaware of the dog-fight until the offending dog already had clinched down on ours, back neck area.
Dr. Hamid not only saw Murphy promptly, about 60 minutes after the incident, but offered exceptional care. He kept Murphy for about 3 hours cleaned his bite wounds, then noticed the ear issue upon further examination. He called and informed us of the additional care required. 3 medications were part of the 2-week treatment as well.
What impressed me the most was during our pick-up. Dr. Hamid personally spent 15 minutes of his time at the end of the day, explaining what he did. His experience when he had a practice in Chicago, where dog-on-dog attacks were frequent, gave us comfort on how he treated Murphy. Although the offending dog’s owner paid for the Vet services required, I found them very reasonable given the vet care required. His staff/team were equally comforting and professional.
If you need pet emergency care…. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using Dr. Hamid @ Animal Hospital of Randall Plaza in Lake in the Hills, Illinois.

My bestfriend recommended me for to go here after I told her my kitten was sick. They took such great care of my kitten, and provided me with clear instructions on how to give my kitten her medications. The staff is very friendly and they show they care.

I cannot express enough gratitude to the team at Animal Hospital of Randall Plaza
for their outstanding care and compassion. A few weeks ago, I found a tiny kitten abandoned in a parking lot, shivering and in desperate need of help. I rushed her here and the staff immediately sprang into action.
Despite it being a busy day, they made sure the little one was warmed, fed, and thoroughly checked for any health issues. Dr.Hamid was incredibly gentle and informative, explaining each step of the treatment plan. They even provided a cozy blanket to keep her comfortable during the examination, as you can see in the photo.
Thanks to their quick and caring response, the kitten is now thriving and has found a forever home with us. I am deeply thankful for their professionalism and kindness and recommend them for any pet

The people here are horrible. They get defensive when you ask questions & try to gaslight you. Either they're incompetent, or this is all a money grab. They dismissed everything and sent us home with meds (that may or may not have made the situation worse). My dog is dying & is going to be dead. If we found out sooner, there would be a higher chance of my dog surviving, but it's too late now.

Very dissapointed with Dr Hamid he needs to suggest people come back tomorrow or next week if dog has issues. Not sure how I got convinced to put her down, but My Dog was still functioning. He pushed to put my dog to sleep like it was an urgent need (Not sure why). Dr Hamid did not honor a veterinary duty to help and save pets. A second opinion too late, she had a chance to stay little longer unfortunately too late. Why he did not send me to a hospital for blood transfusion or more analysis and just determine that she needs to go. Worse even - My pet was still functioning. I am in pain and guilt because it was not time yet , and I am not sure his advices blocked my thinking. He just put in my head to put dog down I went for help, and walked out without my princess. I do not recommend this place. I could give him zero stars if I could.

THIS VER DOESNT CARE ABOUT ANIMAL HEALTH THEY CARE ABOUT MONEY!! My dog had a fatty lump and even though our persistence to not get the surgery done, the doctor insisted that we have it done. $1500 later it was an inflamed hair follicle, she now has a Seroma and the doctors did not know how to treat it properly so now it's larger and she's in 10x the amount of pain. THEN they proceed to wrap my dog so tight with ADHESIVE gauze that she has BLEEDING BLISTERS in both of her armpits and it's complete STUCK TO HER SKIN. The entire area they wrapped is bald bc her HAIR was RIPPED OFF. ( her entire neck and down her back and between her front legs.) If the fact that I don't genuinely believe that the doctor isnt trustworthy, or has good intentions, wasn't bad enough. THE DOCTOR IS A MISOGYNISTIC prick. The doctor refuses to answer questions directly to me, will only speak to my boyfriend.As a women I am treated with no respect and am spoken to like i'm incompetent. Would've given this no stars if it was an option, Stay safe. I'd post pictures but they're a little graphic.

Dr. Hamid is an exellent veterinarian. He cares about the dogs and cats parents. He takes the history and does the right tests for the diseases. He thinks out the box.Dr. Hamid also respects humans time. His patients are seen as soon as they arrive. There is no waiting to see the doctor.
