They are super helpful and knowledgeable and finding a salesperson is not a problem. Definitely go there if you want to be waited on, that’s what they are supposed to do and they do it right.”
“Staff there has always been nice. However, I was always taught and instructed. When handling money to give and receive transactions from hand to hand, that includes items purchased? This means that if I provide money transactions from my hand to yours, then the receiver should do the same. I held my hand out for change and receipt. Money placed in hand items purchased placed on counter.”
“This review is long and very long overdue. On a Friday, I was in search of a particular part for my dad's lawnmower. He wasn't able to go himself, so he sent me. I called to confirm the part and the staff was very accommodating. It was 20 mins to closing at the time and I was all the way in Orland. I asked if they could possibly stick around for 15 mins after closing because my dad really needed the part and I wouldn't be able to make it at opening the next day at 7am. They agreed!
Traffic took a bit longer, and I arrived 30 mins after closing. When I pulled up to the parking lot, there were 2 cars there and a guy (Taylor, I think?) walking towards 1. I drove up to him and asked if everyone was gone, then explained my situation.
He SO KINDLY said sure, let's get that part for you, and REOPENED THE STORE just so I could buy it ?
We walked in to the store, lights off, alarm on, and I was able to get the part.
That kind of kindness doesn't go unnoticed. It may be just a part, but the actions and willingness to help will make me a forever patron at Ace in Dyer. It speaks volumes of the guy who helped, management, and the owners. Thank you all sooooo much for your above and beyond assistance that day! I'm very grateful ☺️”
“I love ACE. First of all, big major congrats to them for holding on in a tough retailer market. I prefer smaller format stores over big box and the fact they haven't been eaten by the other is a testament to their strategy. And they often hire incredibly helpful staff. Jon helped me find everything I was looking for and was so kind. And the guy who checked me out, he was a gem too. Great job! ?????”
“Stopped into this location to do a "price match adjustment" and didn't have any issues. Hubby recently bought a tire jack set for $49.99 and two days later it went on sale for $29.99. We took our original receipt along with the online coupon we printed and they happily gave us the $20 (plus tax) back in cash! Very friendly staff....not our local location but definitely will patronize again!”
“Nate provided excellent customer service in the yard helping us locate our plywood for our roof. He had a lot of demand from multiple customers and even other workers in the yard and was helping us all out while keeping a great attitude. “I occasionally visit this Ace either because I'm in the area or if they have a good sale. It is very friendly and customer service oriented. The prices are comparable to the larger big box stores like Home Depot and say a Menards. I also like it because it has a lot of the same things as the big box stores without giant lot and store. It is more personable and more convenient. I can get in and out much faster. Big is not always better.”

“Flatbed unload was quick…. Overnight parking for a truck or 2…. Start at 7am but the first guy shows up at about 6am…. A forklift driver started actually unloading me at 6:40am and had it unloaded in 10 mins! Good group of guys and had that easy going feel! Yard was clean! Definitely a good spot for flatbeds to unload!”
