We took my grandmother's ailing dog, Diva, to this clinic on 5/11 expecting a peaceful, straightforward euthanasia to end her suffering from lymphoma, but had the worst experience of our lives. When she got brought into the room, she was given a shot by Dr. Kelsey Noyes that was supposed to knock her out within a few minutes. We spoke to many dog owners and others who worked in vet clinics, and they unanimously said it should be peaceful and take 2-3 min tops. 10 minutes later, our dog was still conscious, and having a panic attack, eyes bulging out of her head, clearly nervous, half drugged from the sedative. My mother went out to the desk to tell them, only to be told dismissively it could take up to 20 minutes. By the time the doctor came back ~20 min later, the dog is still conscious in this panicked drugged state. After realizing the initial shot to knock her out didn't work, she opted to put a catheter (an IV) into her front leg and inject her with a second sedative shot through that. Several minutes went by and she was still awake, except panicking, shaking, gasping for air even more intensely. Dr. Noyas asked us if we were ready for the final shot, to which we immediately said yes, assuming it would immediately stop what we were witnessing. Well, that didn't happen. Of everyone we talked to over the last couple days, all of their dogs were completely unconscious before having the 2nd fatal shot administered. Ours wasn't, and was 10/10 panicking and terrified. Euthasol (the drug used) stops the heart and lungs. While injecting this, the catheter fell out of Diva's leg, essentially giving her a half-fatal dose while Dr. Noyas worked to re-attach it and administer the rest. For what seemed like 1-3 minutes (we all lost track of time, it felt like a dream), we watched our conscious dog violently shake, convulse, and gasp for air fighting against the effects. All the while my mother is having a panic attack crying, and my 85 year old grandmother is holding her to comfort her and stop her from falling off of the table because of the shaking. She slowly fades into stillness, at which point Dr. Noyas examines her and we're told she is gone. She gives her condolences shortly thereafter, and leaves with her assistant. We are all in complete shock and horror. We leave shortly after and stand in the parking lot for at least 20 minutes just trying to process and make sense of what we just witnessed. There was no apology, no explanation, no warning of what the 2nd fatal shot was going to do to her. I reach out to their practice email that evening asking to speak to the 2 highest people in the practice, the practice manager and the office manager. Instead of responding to my request and giving me their emails, I'm instead called Monday morning by another vet in the office to talk to me about the problem, perhaps so the news of what happened wouldn't get to their bosses and it gets dealt with there? At this point I don't know or don't care. Diva came from an abusive household, we did everything we could to give her a happy, comfortable, love-filled life. She didn't deserve to experience this. We didn't deserve to see this. We honestly feel like we have failed her by trusting her in this practice's care. I don't know whether to be furious or incredibly sad about this entire thing. It was the worst thing we have ever seen. Why was there a substantial lack of care throughout this procedure? Why did Dr. Noyas determine this method of care to be the best choice for Diva? What is being done to correct this? This was such a horrible experience for all of us. I don't want anyone else to go through this.

I have had 8 dogs that have been patients, of Cresthill Cat and Dog Clinic over a span of 14+ years. However, over the past few years, after moving to a newer building, I've have noticed significant staff turnaround, increase in prices, and lack of communication regarding office policy changes. Dr. Wally, had always told me that if my dogs' (two of which where disabled) illnesses had improved, that I should just "call and cancel their follow-up appointments." However, about 6 months ago, out of the blue, his office manager informed me that I had to many cancellations, and that I would now be required, to put down a $50 deposit, in order to make an appointment. I explained this situation to Dr Wally during an office visit and he acknowledged what he had told me and assured me that he would speak, with his office manager and straighten it out. Unfortunately, the situation was never rectified and Dr. Wally refused, to return any of my phone calls. I contacted the office last month because I had suspected that my Bella had an UTI infection. Dr. Wally prescribed an antibiotic for her. I contacted the office about four days afterwards, in order to let Dr. Wally know that I did not believe that the antibiotic was working and that Bella seemed, to be in a lot more pain. The office employee told me that Dr. Wally said to "take her to the emergency room." They never in 14+ years told me, to take any of my dogs, to the emergency room. I asked the office employee if they could possibly squeeze her in the next day. I then received an email from Dr. Wally, informing me that my dogs were no longer patients of his clinic, due to the recent "communication" issues. I wasn't aware of any communication issues other than the fact that Dr. Wally refused, to return my phone calls. Dr. Wally knew Bella was ill. He prescribed her an antibiotic, refused to let her come into the office and then days later, DUMPED her and my other dogs as patients. His unethical decision not, to care for Bella caused her to suffer longer than she should have. I ended up taking her, to the emergency vet that evening and the next day, was able to find another veterinarian. Bella's diagnosis: Pelvic Bone Cancer I took her home with pain medications, so she could be spoiled and loved, however, ended up returning to the vet 4 days later, to end her excruciating pain. We are heartbroken

Only sees well animals. All other ill pets are told to visit an emergency vet or urgent care clinic. Animal Care Center Plainfield WILL take your pet as a walk-in, ill or not! CHC&D is only good for immunizations and only week day boarding not holidays.

We were referred to them by a friend since we were unhappy with our past vet and we have had a wonderful experience so far. From the first visit my dogs seemed calmer and happier which is very important to us. These dogs are our family and we want the best for them. We just had our precious dogs spaded and the team was very gentle with them and informative during the procedure as well as after. They called the day after to see how they were doing which I appreciated. I will never go anywhere else and highly recommend them!!

This is for Poor customer service experienced from a receptionist only. The doctors we've had are good!! I am an established client and my three cats have all been patients here. Recently one of my cats was diagnosed with renal lymphoma which is very devastating. After two weeks of steroids he began to decline again while awaiting his chemotherapy medication to arrive. I talked to Dr. Wally who took over his care after I had unanswered questions from the initial visit with the Dr. Soukup, a recent graduate. We discussed bringing Simba in for a brief exam and palliative treatment the morning of 2/21/23. I called back to confirm I would bring him in and the very rude, unprofessional receptionist Cindy repeatedly and forcefully told me "He's is overbooked, He is overbooked!! I had to decide what time I could bring him in on 2/22/23 since I am scheduled to work, She told me to hold a second time while she goes to "BOTHER" him again. I did not appreciate the rudeness especially while going through a difficult ordeal with my fur baby. Secondly, Dr. Wally was already expecting a potential visit. There is no excuse for such behavior and she gave a very negative impression as if urgent appointments are unheard of. I hope this is not swept under the rug!!

I have never been to another veterinarian clinic where I felt so confident of the doctors and staff. The thorough examination and the time they took for answering my questions was amazing. They were extremely knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone.

This used to be a great pet care facility. The Husband and wife doctors that own it had a great bedside manner. Recently, something has changed. When in need of an emergency appointment, I was given the option for an appointment a week later! Now when needing an appointment for a new puppy in which I am obligated to have examined in the first week, I was told the earliest appointment was in 10 days and there was a new policy where a deposit was required to schedule an appointment. I advised I was going to transfer care for my 3 dogs to another facility and there was no attempt the retain me as a customer. I reached out to another vet and was able to schedule an appointment for the following day. It is unclear if the owners have reduced service levels, or if the front desk employees are choosing to not accommodate pet owners in need.

Received great service from Dr. Ling. Nice facility. Bad experienced from one of the receptionist. She can use additional training to improve her customer service skills. Don't cut off your client while they're trying to say something. Listen and be respectful.

We recently went to 3 different veterinary clinics. Had bad and dishonest service with all 3 until we came to Dr Ling at Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic. She is amazing! She is caring and compassionate. Exactly the type of veterinarian I want to take my babies to. Prices are fair but most of all the service is excellent. I will never go anywhere else! Thank you to Dr Ling and staff for taking great care of my baby boy. I soon will be bringing in my other babies for checkups. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Ling and Dr. Wally are the best Veterinarian's that I have ever met. Compassion, they think outside of the box to find an answer to solve your pets problem, and they take the time to figure out the best possible solution. Its not all about money with them. They truly are honest, intelligent Veterinarian's who will provide the best care for your loved ones. I would not take my pets anywhere else

I just wanted to start off by saying, I normally don't do reviews. The service was excellent from start to finish. Even though we were going there knowing that our beloved dog, Jay would not be returning home with us. They were able to get me in right away the same day. I thought that was very nice of them considering everyone else I called had a 3 to 4 day wait, or didn't have the med for euthanasia. The staff notified me from the initial phone conversation that they allotted time availability for situations for emergent situations that arise . Mine being end of life for my dog, Jay . He was 14 1/2 year old golden retriever. The staff was very nice, and accommodating. They opened the side door so that my son could bring him in without difficulty. They laid down several blankets, and towels in their comfort room because Jay was not able to stand any longer, making it difficult for him to get on a exam table. Everything was done right in the comfort room on the floor. The staff was very friendly, informative, and accommodating. We told staff that Jay was terrified of vets. They were very gentle with him. The vet came in and explained everything . She was very detailed. We were allowed as much time as we wanted with him. Not to mention the price was almost half as much as most vets around. I was so pleased by their service, and professionalism that I told my son we would start bringing our other 2 dogs to them. Overall, I was very satisfied with our experience.

Lives up to great reviews! They're pretty popular, and quite busy, so note that if your appointment is not an emergency you may have to wait a couple weeks. Super friendly, fast service, no unnecessary cost, explained everything up front. Staff was AMAZING with my pet. Gentle and patient, and know when to bribe with treats ;)

It's a long one- I was happy to find a veterinarian with such excellent reviews so close to home. I have had pleasant experiences over the course of about two years, until recently. I have a 2.5-year-old dachshund mix. He can get pretty nervous around new people and isn't a huge fan of going to the vet. Luckily, the staff, from what they have told me, have been able to calm him down using several different methods. I was told he took a liking to one of the vet techs, so that made me feel better. Recently, I took him in for his annual dental cleaning (his first-ever). I was there for a better part of the morning and afternoon. When I picked him up at approximately 3 pm, the vet tech that brought him out to me assured me that he was a "good boy" and he did excellent after they gave him some treats. As soon as he got in the car, we began to whine, and this continued for the following 2 hours or so, nonstop. I also noticed there were drops of blood all over my kitchen floor. One of his nails appeared to be cut too short, which I know can happen sometimes (no big deal) I bandaged it up, and it seemed to stop bleeding. I called the vet office to ask them if the constant whining was normal, and asked if there is anything we could do to make him feel comfortable. At this point, I was speaking to staff member, Craig. He was kept interrupting me as I was speaking and was unwilling to validate my concerns. His tone was very matter-of-fact and insensitive. He told me to bring him back in, so the doctor could reexamine his mouth and make sure everything was normal, so I did. When I arrived, I called and the office to notify them I had arrived. I informed whoever answered the phone that I would like to come in with my dog. Lo and behold, here comes Craig walking out. He walks up to my car and I try to explain, again, that my dog had been whining nonstop since I picked him up. He interrupts me, again- "Did he eat?... oh, then he's fine." So I asked him if he was the doctor and if he planned on examining his mouth, after all, that is why I went back. And he got extremely hostile and says, "I'm not the doctor, but I am certified...." This entire time, I am standing outside my car with the door half open ready to take my dog out and walk him inside. Craig keeps stepping closer and closer- to the point where he is now IN MY FACE raising his voice at me telling me, "He was the most nervous dog here today. He pooped in his kennel as soon as we put him in there..." So now, I am concerned because none of the staff had made me aware of this at any point. So Craig is in my face, raising his voice by the second. I calmly ask him if he would please take a step back because he was too close. All the while, my dog is still whining in the backseat. So Craig didn't appreciate me asking him to take a step back, so he storms off and says he is going to get the "manager." As he is briskly walking away, he is muttering things under his breath. I waited in the vestibule of the clinic. I didn't wait long before doctor Walley came out to speak to me. I explained what was going on with my dog. I informed him about my unpleasant interaction with Craig. He apologized profusely on behalf of Craig, saying that he shouldn't have talked to me that way. He described his behavior as "unacceptable." We also discussed some inconsistencies with the information that was given to me by different vet technicians as far as my dog's level of nervousness and behavior(s). He then offered for me to go into the back and watch video footage of my dog being handled, which I appreciated. He also offered to show me where they had kept him pre or post-op. Doctor Walley was calm, empathetic, and apologetic. He reassured me that my dog was never mishandled, and he kept reassuring me of this, which I found unnerving considering I never once made any accusatory statements in regard to my dog being mistreated. Which of course got me thinking... Anyway, Dr.Walley gave me his business card/ma

They're open for curbside service. All you do is make your appointment & call when you arrive to the appointment. I was in and out with my sick kitty. They're doing an amazing job with handling the pandemic.
