I purchased a new Tiguan from this dealership and it was the best car buying experience I’ve had. Brought the car in for scheduled maintenance yesterday and also had an extremely positive experience with the service department. I highly recommend The Autobarn VW of Countryside!

11:47 Arrived at my first service appointment for my 2024 Atlas that purchased from this exact dealership only to be treated with The rudest and most horrible service I've ever experienced by Carlos the Service Advisor, Carlos told me a loaner vehicle was not available and they didn't offer that service in years for an oil change, so I would have to wait. I asked was another employee there (Abe) whom I actually closed the deal with on my vehicle, and Carlos in a very nasty tone proceeded to tell me Abe couldn't help me. But if Carlos wasn't so dismissive he would've known I was willing to wait because! wanted to discuss a sale opportunity with Abe who is the Business manager. I spoke with Steve, the Service manager and refused service for the day. I've NEVER had ANY problems with this dealership until today. And I didn't receive an apology from Carlos.

After we left another dealership that wants to squeeze every penny out of the buyer and leaves you knowing you will never do business there...EVER, we were so happy to land here with the warm, welcoming personality of Benjamin Gonzalez. I didn't think I would ever say this about a car salesman; however, Benjamin is very easy to work with. From start to finish, we never once felt hustled or like he was trying to take advantage of us. As a woman, it is important for me to support minorities and I can't think of a better way to celebrate the start of Hispanic Heritage month than by buying a new car from Benjamin, a proud Mexican American. If you're buying a car right now, why not support Benjamin!

If I could give a zero, I would. Sent in my check to corporate to buy out at the end of my lease. Its been 10 weeks, and i've called them several times trying to get them to send me the transfer of title paperwork. They claim they discovered there is no title for my car and have used a third party company to request a duplicate title from the Secretary of State. I even tried calling the finance department at this dealership as I am loyal customer. Finance employee would not help and claimed they have no connection to corporate. Can that possibly be true? NO ONE WILL HELP TO SOLVE THIS. Interesting that they had no trouble immediately cashing my check. This company will never get my business again and I recommend that you go elsewhere for a car. Plenty of other options out there

Great buying experience. I came in with my own financing. They weren’t overly aggressive for me to get their financing. Very transparent in all their pricing. Got me in and out the dealership with financing so I can be on time to pick up my daughter.I even had to take a few meetings at the dealership and they were able to get me in a private office. Will for sure refer anyone to this dealership. EJ and Niko got me right!

Once you give them your details, they will SPAM you forever. I have had recalls done here and everything went well except that I sold my VW years ago and I still receive promotional mails from from. I have asked 5 times to be remove from the list and every time I heard the same story “Of course I will make sure we do not send you more letters” despite they didn’t take any details from. I have not been removed from the list and they stil keep SPAMing my mailbox…

I've purchased two new cars from here. This dealership is conveniently located, so for this reason I also service my car here as well. Convenience has its price. Neither car was adequately cleaned upon delivery. I was promised it would be done but there was no follow up. Up-Selling is rampant in the service department. It gives the feeling of being squeezed for money. I shouldn't feel that way with a new car purchased from their dealership. Lastly, I hate when I bring my car in for service and I ask them not to wash it and they do. So basically they run the car through an automatic car wash and don't dry it off. They pull the car into the service drive still wet. I think they're under the impression that the water is soft and won't leave water spots. Newsflash, the car wash doesn't clean the car and the water leaves water spots. Overall this dealership is serviceable but they have issue with with details. Such as making sure a $40K car is cleaned for delivery. And making sure a car is cleaned after service......This doesn't mean run the car through an automated washer and immediately pull it up front for pick up.

We had a wonderful experience at The Auto Barn. Initially with Chris and the Danny. Great customer service and no "hard sell". Got a great car at a fair price. Highly recommended.

Went to get this car serviced at around 100k miles. Timing belts ought to get serviced at this mileage. This dealership swore my 2015 2.0L Jetta had a timing chain (chains don't need service) and refused to do the work. 15k miles later and it turns out my Jetta DID IN FACT have a timing belt. My timing slipped requiring either $6,200 for the fix or $3,800 for an entire new engine. On top of all of this the countryside Volkswagen dealership has taken absolutely no accountability for their actions. If this were the last location on the planet to get my car fixed, I would without hesitation scrap it and buy an entirely new one; and it will most certainly not be a Volkswagen

Had pre scheduled service at Autobarn VW. Was in advance quoted the cost of service. Arrived on time to a clean, well organized operation. The scheduled maintenance was to take 2 hours so I elected to wait in their client waiting center. During my wait service reps dealing with several others having work done on their cars seemed fair, professional and low pressure. My service was completed in the time stated and billed at the quoted cost. With the number of fake or low grade parts out there it pays to the dealer for genuine parts with tained service personnel. Having always done my own maintenance work except for warranty work. I can recommend Autobarn VW. Not cheap but expect quality parts and workmanship.

Be careful of deceptive marketing. They have a base Ford bronco on their lot with after market wheels added and are calling it a big bend to try and sell it at a higher price. I brought it to their attention and said it was mislabeled yet it's still being advertised days later as a big bend. They even told my husband over chat it was a big bend. I definitely lost trust in them...

I purchased a 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan on 12/28/21. On 1/2/22, the screen started going in and out which caused the radio to not play. On 1/3/22, I called the dealership and was informed to reset the screen. I completed the task of resetting the screen and that did not work. On 1/4/22, I called the dealership back to inform them that the reset did not work. I was given an appointment to come in on 1/8/22. On 1/8/22, the dealership provided me with a loaner that I had until 1/25/22. I picked up my SUV on 1/25/22. On 1/26/22, the screen was doing the same exact thing, except this time I was hearing people personal conversations while the radio was on. I also noticed that there was no heat coming out the two middle vents on the dashboard. I called back to the dealership with my concerns and was informed I would have to wait until a loaner car was available. On 1/27/22, I was informed they have a loaner for me to drive. I took my SUV back to the dealership on 1/28/22. Carlos greeted me by asking if I was the customer working with Ronnie and I stated yes. Carlos then stated you are the customer that we are waiting on the radio connector to come in. I said to Carlos, why would my SUV be given back to me if it had not been repaired? Carlos then informed me, he may have the wrong customer. I was given another loaner car on 1/28/22. I also contacted Volkswagen of America on 1/28/22 and still awaiting to hear from them. On 1/31/22, I was informed by Ronnie they had to order a new radio control that is on back order for my SUV. Ronnie informed me he has to release my vehicle back to me until the part arrives due to my vehicle being drivable. I spoke with the manager Steve because I feel I'm owed another new car or cancel my contract in order for me to purchase another car or compensate me for this terrible experience. Per Steve, he can not do either option I asked for due to this issue not being a dealership issue but stated it is a Volkswagen of America issue. Now, I can't wait to hear what Volkswagen of America is going to say. I will never purchase another Volkswagen again!

Customer service in the service department is awful. Honestly I don't know why I keep coming back but this is the last time. They don't take the time to talk to customers - everything is rushed. It cost $150 on a check engine light diagnostic- I understand that it's an involved process, but you sold me this expensive car at least waive the cost to assess when things are going wrong. They are all flippant and lastly the snacks suck. I would describe it as below average professionalism overall. Bottom line they do not make me feel like I made a $20,000 investment with them.

Purchasing Experience: "Come in. We have the brand new vehicle you want!" When we arrived, they did not have the vehicle; possibly next week they may have the vehicle. They did not call or have the car next week. Everyone was friendly and professional. We eventually came in again and purchased a vehicle. The price was misleading and included a "Covid-19" cleaning item for $800.00 and an aftermarket "anti-theft" line item for $1500.00 along with other unnecessary charges. After removing several line items, it still wasn't a great deal... but close enough, the car was awesome, FOMO, and everyone was friendly. After-Sale Experience: We parked our new vehicle in the garage and got back to pandemic lockdown. One tire had a slow leak since purchase. This tire had a mismatched valve cap, and the lugs were marred as if they had been removed before on a brand new stock vehicle. Took it back in for service (8 months and only 700 miles total on the vehicle) assuming warranty or extended warranty coverage. No warranty, two days, and $400.00 for a new tire, that had less leak, but still leaking. They did not fill the tire to the correct pressure or reset the TPMS on the vehicle after replacing it. Service was friendly, but not easy to work with and unwilling to attempt warranty claim for obvious warranty issue. Sold the car recently at 18 months ownership and a total of 914 miles on the odometer for a fair price to an online auto vendor. Now, we need to cancel the extended warranty. Autobarn will not do it electronically and requires in-person signature, during Covid, to terminate after you sell or trade a vehicle and will only answer when challenged, "it is a Local Store Policy". I have verified other dealers will use email and scanned images or Docusign. Even other VW dealers easily offer this simple convenience. The finance rep was friendly and professional, and completely unwilling to simplify this process. Overall, the people are friendly. The dealership is less than forthright, with hidden fees and costs others do not include automatically or attempt to conceal. Inconvenient policies, average or poor prices, and bare minimum customer service practices (the wheel really should have been warranty) make it impossible to recommend this dealer. If you can possibly go to any other VW dealer, I would highly recommend you do.

I've had good service experiences at Autobarn VW Countryside over the past six years, and my recent one was no exception. The service advisor was courteous, explained the work to my satisfaction, and kept me informed of progress. The waiting area was clean & comfortable. Work was completed within estimated time. And our car got a super car wash after being serviced -- it looked brand new! Only three quibbles: i had to wait almost two weeks for the routine maintenance appointment. The labor charges seemed a bit high. The location is inconvevient for me.
