My Dad was a coin collector since my grade school years. He had the good fortune of meeting Joe over 35 years ago. They spent about 25 years building their various collections together. Dad had a variety of coins but his prize collection was his Buffalo nickels. When he passed away he left that collection to his 4 kids. I had maintained a relationship with Joe and so took the Buffalos to him to have them appraised. Joe looked at each individual coin with his resources available to put a value on each coin. I had taken the collection to other dealers and they did a cursory look at the coins and threw out a number. Joe's attention to detail and what I felt was a very fair offer, let me know he is still the friend my father trusted for 25 years! Thanks Joe! ❤

I visited this place and from the time I walked in I was greeted with a very friendly welcome as I proceeded to have a conversation about the coins that I brought with me the information that I received was very helpful and very informative about how to find the rare coins and what to look for I left that shop with a very educational resource for finding that needle in a haystack if you visit this shop I can guarantee that you will find it very pleasant and welcoming and honest visit you can ever have with a coin shop I will always take my business there thank you Lagrange coin and stamp for helping me out I definitely will be back.

Awesome experience and owner! I brought my eight-year-old and five-year-old into the shop to teach them about coins, and he gave them a few free coins and took some of his time to teach my boys. Thank you very much for this great experience. Thank you for the good pricing too.

As of 10/5/23 spot price on silver is 20.97. I asked the shop if they had any american eagles. The answer was yes we do at 35.00 a piece. This is ridiculous, all shops have a premium. But to try and ask for a 60% plus mark up is horrible business. Guess he saved me a trip. And fyi he was 7 to 8 dollars higher then all the other shops i called.

I had some jewelry that I didn't wear anymore so I took it to a few shops for an appraisal. Joe was great and gave me the best price for my jewelry. I highly recommend this shop. Wonderful experience!

The owner of Lagrange coin & stamp is very honest I brought in a gold bracelet and had 4 estimates earlier in the day and then I walked in to Lagrange coins and stamps and the owner gave me 150$ more then all the other shops he’s been doing his job for many years there is still honest people out there if u have stamps coins and gold and other things this is the place to go

I brought in some old jewelry that was in the back of my jewelry box to sell. I couldn’t have been happier with the price. Joe told me that if I wanted to get prices elsewhere, that would be fine. LaGrange coin and stamp is an established business, that has been in the area a long time. I was extremely comfortable with Joe, and his shop.

I brought in a long gold chain and with a fairly large charm and he offered me $40 for both. That didn't sit right with me and I declined this offer. Yesterday I brought the exact same thing to What a Gem Pawnshop on Cermak Rd in Berwyn and they gave me $130! Can't help but feel nice old guy is not honest. And worse, a few years ago my daughter brought in several very old silver dollars to him. They were probably worth so much more than he gave her.

Best price for gold. I have brought a ton a stuff and very satisfied. Bring your gold vs. sitting in a drawer.
