Upkeepers installed our water heater on September 11, 2017. On October 24, 2022 we had our 75 gal Bradford White water heater repaired by a Precision Plumbing whose name we found on the manufacturer website as an authorized service provider. They replaced the gas valve assembly that was not operating. The water heater was still under factory warranty, however during the process of further checking the water heater, Precision noted that the existing expansion tank installed by Upkeepers should only be used for a maximum 40 or 50 gallon water heater not 75 gal. Precision also found the existing expansion tank was filled with water that could have contributed to the water heater needing repair. A larger expansion tank was required based Bradford White specifications for a 75 gallon water heater. This part was not covered by the warranty because it should have never been installed. On October 24, 2022 I contacted Tom Molidor via email (email trail attached) and attached copies of the repair ticket and video. I requested that Upkeepers refund me $232.46 for installation of the correct size expansion tank. I sent him a second email on November 17, 2017, and he then replied saying I should have contacted Upkeepers. I told him that Upkeepers was not listed as an authorized service provider on the Bradford White website. The total repair cost including the expansion tank was $654.01, but the gas valve assembly cost of $421.55 was under warranty so the difference of. $232.46 is for installation of the new expansion tank and that is the amount I requested from Upkeepers. Tom Molidor refused to issue refund to replace the undersized expansion tank, but did offer me a credit on future work. Not an option for me considering I no loner trust the quality of their work and would never hire them again.Service: Home maintenance & repairs

Upkeepers did a great job remodeling our (small space) bathroom. The communication was good and the work itself was very professional. We're really happy with the end product! Thanks Upkeepers!

We hired Tom to build a wet bar in our basement. Everyone on his team was polite and professional. We have gotten a ton of compliments on the finished product and would not hesitate to use Tom again in the future.

I had a very positive experience with Upkeepers. Tom Molidor responded to our request for installation of attic stairs immediately. At my request, the installation was completed quickly. Tom quoted us a fair price for his services and we were happy to pay it. I would highly recommend Upkeepers to family, friends and neighbors.

UPKEEPERS, owned and operated by Tom Molidor is an excellent continuation of his Custom Home Builders company. When Tom built our home in 2000, he hired excellent sub-contractors. This same attention to quality workmanship is the cornerstone of UPKEEPERS.
We have great confidence in every trades' person that is contracted to assist us with each and every project. Thank you Tom for extending the builder/client relationship.

Once again this year we are having the house worked on/improved by The Upkeepers. For the past five years, each year they have helped with some issue we were having to an upgrade we want. After having had the same roof repair done by 8 different contractors, year after year after year, with the problem still not being fixed, The Upkeepers finally solved the problem and stopped the leak! They are friendly, prompt & courteous and simply do the best work for your expenditure. We confidently recommend them to any and all!!!

I had kitchen cabinets installation project in Chicago; however, Upkeepers did not visit the job site but provided an estimate anyway--relying only on photos that were requested and the schematic drawings that were provided. Upon arrival at the job site, the workers claimed the project was underestimated and would cost more. Owner contacted me to say that he would not complete the project unless I agreed to paid additional amount. While I felt taken advantaged of, I paid the additional cost to prevent delay on the project. Warning: get Upkeepers to make a job site visit when obtaining an estimate!
