“I bet my boys thought I forgot about them, but I did not! I am actually still in the process of painting the bedrooms in my house, so I had to prioritize certain things, however ALEX and JARRETT were an amazing help to my wife and I at this Sherwin Williams location.These young gentlemen were very knowledgable about what paint to use and how we should go about using "accent" walls" along side the main paint we wanted to use. They helped us pick colors for the living room, kitchen, and all the bedrooms. We truly love the colors we chose and appreciate the help they gave us.They also gave us the best possible price and advised us on sales and discounts that were applicable to our situation, it was very helpful. Again, Alex and Jarrett, thank you very much for your help and when we need more paint we will be back!”

“I visited the JC Licht showroom twice and experienced top-notch, attentive and professional care each time. The first time, Meg advised me. I was looking at wallpaper for an office space, and she pointed out potential wear issues for the “papers” (i.e., linen and grass wallpaper) that I preferred. We then looked at more commercial, vinyl-coated papers, and Meg again was super helpful, explaining the pricing. She did not pressure me, encouraging me to take time and consider options.The second interaction was a telephone call with Keyaira. I had a description of a wallpaper and a photo from my first visit but could not remember the manufacturer. (A small nightmare for her.) She was optimistic and asked for a few hours to track it down. Keyaira placed a sample order for me as we exchanged emails.Today I went in and picked up the sample, meeting Keyaira in person. Again, she was super helpful as she looked at my measurements and advised me. I love the paper that I ordered.If you are considering wallpaper, I highly recommend JC Licht. I looked online for hours, but one really needs to touch the paper, see how light reflects off it and see colors without screen interference. Secondly, their wallpaper is organized by book (instead of hanging on hundreds of hangers). I found this to be way more efficient. It’s easy to open a book and quickly determine if the designer, paper texture or finish are your jam.Lastly, get a sample. I thought this extra step was unnecessary. I am glad that Keyaira insisted. It was only $2, and the sample color was a bit different from the book and photo. I still went with my choice but am glad that when the rolls come, I won’t be surprised.We are so lucky to have these brilliant women and store in our neighborhood!”
“This is a great little hardware store at a very convenient location. While it's certainly no big box giant, it still has a surprisingly broad selection of items, and quite often saves us from having to drive to one of the larger hardware stores. The staff here are also friendly and helpful.”

“I made a major mistake using a oil based varnish over an acrylic enamel paint on a very expensive Panton Chair. I called the store in a frenzy, not knowing what to do because the chair turned yellow .. And they're supposed to be bright white for the client.The gentleman that answered the phone gave me info of why it happened and how I can fix it. He spent a good 15 minutes on the phone with me and was extremely helpful. I want to acknowledges excellent customer service.I end up fixing it and you can not even tell I made the mistake, thanks for this employee at the store. He saved me $1200, Thanks again.”
“I stopped in the Sherwin Williams Logan Square location on 02/18/2023 for the first time and was immediately greeted by a friendly staff person. Jose assisted me and was very knowledgeable and answered my questions, he walked with me and showed me the products I was looking for. I bought a five-gallon pail of paint and he brought it out and helped me get it in my car. It was a great experience. It is very refreshing that there are businesses that have such a great team that treat people with kindness. I will purchase all of my paint and materials here.”

“When it was Paulsons I never had a problem with orders being fulfilled with timely communication and punctuality. I ordered touch up paint a week ago. Was supposed to get a call by Tuesday. Nothing. Come in today, they never even placed it. Guy was full of excuses "I don't work on weekdays, I wrote it on the board" like thats all people can do for customers. Good customer service is proactive customer service and this ain't it.I live in forest park but I now get to drive to Lagrange to get stuff that I'd walk down the street for a year ago.Edit: the guy said that Lagrange had what I wanted. I get to Lagrange and they don't, forest park assistant knew it because he called later, never bothered to notify. Now forest park manager is doing damage control but this has killed a giant chunk of a day where I needed to get lots of things done. Good going!Final edit: the manager personally fulfilled the order at another location and dropped it off at our house. I'm revising this from 1 star to 4 since while it's best to get the order right in the first place, our order was small and he did everything he could to make up for it anyway. That does mean a lot.”

The item was delivered before the delivery date and the installation was awesome. The installer Alex was not only an expert but was very conscientious about cleanliness. He took his shoes off before entering my home, laid his materials on a blanket on my floor to prevent any scratching and had the installation complete in a timely manner quickly. I highly recommend them.”
