Our newly found friends became like good family and our hope to find fabric for my wedding dress and for my groom In Him my husband was found here. We were amazed at the professionalism and help we got. Kayra Important was amazing and awesome and in grand fashion we found material we were hoping for.
Too you can't go wrong in finding African Natured clothing and goods and imports and drums we call djembe, an instrument and on and and books to read. Every time you come in you win. “With the closure of the Oak Street Athleta location (RIP) this location has now become my go-to. It's been a minute since I've stopped in, but was in earlier this month for some post-birthday retail damage (I had gift cards :)). It seems like the store has been spruced up (lighter, brighter interior) since my last time coming here. Connie helped me with sizes/fit questions and am glad that she has landed here as she used to work at the Oak Street location. I will be back for sure!”
“I went to the psycho bunny store at the Oakbrook Mall. I was disappointed that you guys did Not have gift boxes, especially around Easter time. This is the biggest selling point after Christmas perhaps you might want to order the boxes. I am almost certain that your loyal customers, will pay extra if they want it as a gift, rather then than have in a bag of plastic. This is not suitable for me or anyone else purchasing your expensive attire.Get some gift boxes corporate office. There is no other store that has your type of style. Keep that in mind so don't take shortcuts and expect people to come back to your store.”

There's a sandbox up front for parents to let their kids play in while they shop which is a really thoughtful touch.
The owner, Stephanie, is also a total sweetheart and a pleasure to talk to, attentive but not imposing.
Highly recommend visiting! Prices are fair for the quality of the clothing, and this is coming from someone who's not a big shopper and struggles to justify spending money on clothes.”

“Between this shop and Virtu in Bucktown, I'm reminded why I love shopping local and why it's so important to do so whenever possible. Vanessa, the owner, is exceedingly kind and stopping in today and having the chance to meet her feels like fate. When I first stopped in the other employee here greeted me and asked what brought me in and if I needed help finding anything. It's not a large place but there is a LOT to look at. They have clothing, accessories, adult jewelry (possibly kids jewelry too, but I wasn't looking at it much), hair notions, and so on. One thing I really needed is a pacifier clip since my daughter has taken to pulling hers out and it ends up in a place in her carseat that is hard for me to reach! They happened to have these which made it a successful shopping trip right there. But whilst we were wandering, Vanessa complimented my sweetie pie and we got to talking. I was in the store for 35 minutes or so and probably half of that was chatting with her. I got a couple of the pacifier clips, and a freaking ADORABLE winter hat that I'm pretty sure is handmade and will probably fly off the shelf. I also bought a book featuring Chicago landmarks which I learned as I checked out Vanessa actually wrote. She autographed it for my baby which I love! Parking is street only and probably can get tough some days, but it's worth the visit. The store is full of really high quality items. They have quite a few Chicago-themed items as well, such as the aforementioned hat, onesies, t-shirts, and so on. It was so nice to talk with Vanessa and get to know her a bit. This is a small shop with big heart and should be on your list of fave baby shops in Chicago.”
“I mail ordered some jeans I liked but needed to exchange for a different size. Samantha helped ring out the exchanges at the register and exchange an item on the floor while Mary checked in the back stock to look for one of my items. They ended up finding the same jeans, color and style, just in the size I requested. Great helpful staff! Aside from myself they kept helping others in checkout and the store is always organized and clean. They deserve recognition and appreciation!”

“They have a great selection of clothing, but most of it is on the pricier side. Good for special occasions! I love that they carry the Molo brand--my kid used to love wearing Molo until she started getting pickier about what she wore. The great thing about Sugarcup is that they also have a basement full of discounted and gently used clothing, which is great when you don't feel like spending full retail pricing.”

“I was shopping around 4 years ago for my sons baptism suit, and this was a one stop shop. Prices varied and I ended up spending less than 100$ for a suit, shoes, socks, and candle. I’ve been coming here for four years since for my two other boys.(one baptism being 1 month ago). I have to make another trip as god mother again and this will be the place I go. This store will continue to have my business because their prices are phenomenal and their customer service is amazing. Girls are always very attentive and I always have a pleasant shopping experience.”
