I took my dog to West Loop to use their urgent care services and I had such a great experience I’m transferring her vet care from my current provider to them. Dr. Lopez and her team were so good with my high anxiety dog and made her feel really comfortable. I would hands down recommend them! ?❤️

This was my first visit to West Loop Veterinary Care, and I was truly impressed. The clinic is clean and welcoming, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Dr. Paula Pingue was exceptionally knowledgeable, and I greatly appreciate her thorough examination and thoughtful recommendations. Jared, who helped with my new puppy, was wonderful—so gentle and caring. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I’m grateful for the exceptional care provided

I don’t think I’ve ever left a review in my life, but I HAD to for West Loop vet. I’ve taken my dog to a bunch of clinics and vets across Chicago and never found a place where they truly seemed to care like West Loop Vet does. Dr. Larson and his vet tech Sal were incredible with my rescue’s anxiety and fear - they literally sat on the ground with him, never got impatient, fed him treats, hugs, and love. They were respectful of my student budget when it came to treatment options, and were overall so friendly and happy. Looking forward to continuing my dog’s care at West Loop vet!!

Brought my dog here after he broke off a nail and had exposed quick. Ouch! My regular vet is closed on Mondays, and the emergency vets I called were very expensive. Plus, this vet is much closer to my home.
Was able to secure an appointment that day and brought him in. They were really kind and helpful and put my mind at ease. Unfortunately, they couldn't perform the procedure he needed until the following morning, which was fine.
Post appointment email communication, however, is a bit slow compared to my regular vet. I didn't have 'urgent' questions, but the response time and delay/lag between emails was not ideal. Next time, I will just call with non-urgent questions.

I highly recommend this veterinary office. Overall it’s very clean, the staff is friendly, and the doctors really take the time to explain what is going on with your pet and what the next steps are.

Dr. Kuchay took extreme great care in explaining and even diagraming the issues my pet had with his kidneys. I felt that he treated me with great respect and I greatly appreciate his thoroughness. Thank you!

I’m quite literally physically and emotionally exhausted from today, but HAD to write a review before I go to sleep finally after a long and stressful day. I have taken both our dogs here and have received nothing but amazing care and excellent customer service from all the front desk staff as well as the techs and vets for the past year. From normal physical health checks, to dental procedures, WLVC has always gone above and beyond and has taken such great care of our babies. Today I had my first experience with an “emergency” with our new kitten who we just adopted. I was able to get on the phone with a staff member right away and got advice to bring my kitten in immediately and was lucky enough to have the staff stay on the phone with me until I arrived at the vet to give their continued advice and to keep me calm. From the second I arrived, they took my kitten directly into care and gave me a private room as I was clearly upset. They did a great job at keeping me updated throughout my ~3.5 hours there walking me through what steps they wanted to take and what concerns they had. They even kept me aware of the financial costs through every test they wanted to run and never left me waiting without an update for more than 15 minutes. I was given in depth descriptions of each test and was then given a full explanation of the results and what they meant. Luckily, my kitten was able to be quickly diagnosed and sent home with me with a care plan, medication and an easily scheduled follow up appointment! For my first experience with an emergent and immediate appointment, I could not be happier to have WLVC as my pets primary care and would recommend them to everyone!

Absolutely make sure you go online first to check pricing of any medications they recommended. The vet suggested this skin mousse for my dog (over the counter) and they sold it to me for $56. A quick online search when I got home showed me that I can get it on Amazon or Chewy for $19! Do not buy your meds from them. They will rob you!

I wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful care you provided to my dog, Phife, during our recent emergency visit. When I brought him in feeling very stressed and distraught, Dr. Kuchay and the vet tech (whose name I unfortunately did not catch) made both of us feel incredibly comfortable and did their best to ease my anxiety. They came up with a treatment plan and reviewed everything with me prior to treating him. Emergency vet visits can be extremely stressful and expensive, I greatly appreciated their treatment plan explanation and breakdown. Their compassion and professionalism were evident as they continually called to check up on us and were always responsive to my questions after our visit. I was particularly touched by the small, thoughtful gesture of trimming Phife's nails without me even asking. This experience has assured me that West Loop Vet is the right place for us, and I will be forever returning for Phife's care.

Loved my first appointment with West Loop Vet in Chicago. It was warm and welcoming from the beginning and I truly felt the staff (especially Hanna and Dr. Reuter) loved my cats and wanted the best for them.

Dr Larson and Dr Osborne are tremendous vets. We have a pooch who has every medical problem in the book - and they have provided her the best highest quality care one can imagine. She has made it to 11 because of them!
