The pharmacy is absolutely terrible here. They are no help whatsoever and they never answer the phones. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

The staff has always been very helpful. The only downside is that parking is really difficult as it is, but it is made worse by the employee who drives the purple Hundai, who ALWAYS takes up the first TWO parking spots by very obviously parking directly down the middle of the yellow line at the entry to their tiny lot. Walgreens, please address this for the benefit of your customers for whom the lot is intended.

Staff is attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about inventory and its location in the store.

After years at CVS, I was forced to switch here due to BCBS nonsense and it's been a disaster. Took over a month to get my prescriptions transferred here and then every time I refill they're out of at least 1. The shortest refill timeframe is 3 days from request, vs. CVS at 4800 N Damen usually filling the same prescriptions same day, unless I requested it toward the end of the day, then it's the next day. There is always a line and I watch everyone ahead of me walk away or take a seat to wait in frustration. It's cramped and uncomfortable to wait here. And that's all before you find out that they have not saved any of your copay assistance coupons to your profile, so you have to repeatedly present them and then the tech at the register just seems annoyed at you complicating the transaction. CVS held my coupons automatically and it was hands free after that.
I've had to call Walgreens 3x/week and then they call me every time I don't fill my prescriptions 2 weeks early to lecture me about the need to fill them. Top that with the fact that I'm getting 3 texts a day PER PRESCRIPTION telling me to refill them, then 3 times a day after they fill them to tell me I'm "on the last refill" for one and yet they weren't telling me they had even filled them. I've had them set my text alerts up, turn on prescription ready alerts, but then had to tell them to turn refill reminders OFF and I still get them all via both text and email. Additionally, when the person would call about my preventative medication, ignoring my actual life saving medication that they wouldn't even discuss, they would disregard me saying that "I'll put it in through the website when I request my others" and they put my refill in FOR ME and didn't tell me. So I go in a day or two later to submit the rest and see the other is already being filled, great... but by the time I get my others filled in 2-3 days, they've put the first back into stock and I have to wait 2-3 more days to get that, assuming they even have it anymore. Now they're telling me falsely that my insurance is expired, because my OLD insurance I hadn't used in 3 months had expired and they had filled a prescription on it at some point (their own explanation), despite already switching to my new insurance. Between them calling me about nonsense and me calling them repeatedly just to get a prescription I submitted online filled, I have had to talk to Walgreens more in the past 5 months than the cumulative past decade of using CVS. Dumpster fire is how I'd describe this pharmacy. I'm considering blocking their number so they leave me alone, but this seems risky, since I SHOULD want my pharmacy to call about ACTUAL problems, but they don't.
The store was also WAY better before the "renovation". Now it's cramped, except right by the registers for some reason, and everything is locked up. Guess what, I'm not waiting for someone to unlock a case so I can make an impulse buy, so I guess they're saving me money in the end by removing the convenience factor. I really, truly hate going into this store for any reason and I'm going to switch to an online pharmacy instead.

Avoid this Walgreens location at all costs. I switched to this pharmacy location when I moved and it became the closest Walgreens. Their pharmacy staff are the most incompetent and downright unhelpful that I’ve ever experienced, so I switched back to my old location and go 2 miles out of my way to get anything filled because the service is like night and day. Additionally, if you have issues and ask a pharmacist or a tech to address them, they become downright combative, even when they’re simply wrong (I.e. prescription costs, Rx coupon, etc.). It’s like pulling teeth just to get them to do their jobs correctly, whereas other locations go above and beyond.

Seriously one of the worst pharmacies to ever exist. Pharmacists are completely incompetent and what makes it worse is how unbothered they are by the fact that they can’t get anything right. Always a winding line (typically AT THE VERY LEAST a 20 min wait) only to be informed they don’t in fact have the medication they said they did. Come back tomorrow. Every single person I see trying to get their prescriptions here has the same look of defeat while they try to get ahold of their doctor to send over a prescription the doctor definitely already sent over. Then for some reason their insurance suddenly isn’t covering it. The pharmacists don’t know why. And they don’t care. Then there’s a shortage. Then they’re going on their lunch break. Then no one answers the phone they tell you to call to make sure your prescriptions are in fact ready before coming in and waiting in that winding line.As if the healthcare system in this country wasn’t bad enough… now even if you’re lucky enough to have health insurance the Walgreens at 4801 N Lincoln Ave has got to make it a 3-day+ ordeal to pick up life saving meds. Get it together. It’s despicable.

Pharmacy hours are inaccurate. I was just there (6:45pm) and the pharmacy was closed. The rest of the store was still open.

If you want your prescriptions filled on time, or filled at all, then avoid this pharmacy at all costs. Been waiting on a prescription to fill for 3 weeks and was just notified today that they canceled my order. Total joke of a pharmacy with no priority or sense of urgency whatsoever. I had to reach out to find out they canceled it also. Since they had no plans to notify me about it. Anywhere is better than here.

Called for a prescription to be transferred to this pharmacy, they said ok, never heard back so I went in person the next day and they had no record of anything. Also, it’s almost impossible to get through by phone. I gave 2 stars because the tech was very kind
