I went here for several months and gave up on Walgreens for a pharmacy. My medication was never in stock. The final straw for me was the last time I tried to fill it and after they told me they ordered it, they still didn’t get it in a month later. I had to spend an absurd amount of time making unnecessary trips here. I practically begged them to check to see if any other pharmacies in Chicago had it (not sure why they didn’t suggest this themselves).
Anyway, my summary here is that there is always a line, customer service is lacking (staff seems nice enough but overwhelmed), medication does not seem to be delivered to this store in a timely manner for whatever reason.
I have since switched to a nearby Mariano’s which never has a line and has had fantastic customer service.

The worst part of being healthy by taking any critical prescription is coming to this Walgreens. They invested in redoing the entire store and left it with the exact same layout and understaffed. Most pharmacy staff are helpful and doing their best, but they are chronically running at 30 min - 1 hr to wait in line to order and then 3 hours to fill. It’s incredibly hard to auto-refill mail order via Walgreens, so I am switching to the CVS 1 mile away (this Walgreens is steps away, but not worth the experience each time).

I called multiple times and the phone was never picked up. Makes me really nervous to consider getting my medicine from here. I will look at other options.

When the Walgreens pharmacy closed on Damen and Milwaukee to consolidate with this one, we were promised our service would be ~so~ much better here. Unsurprisingly, since then the quality of the pharmacy has deteriorated to the point it's negatively impacting my health as it's almost impossible to get the prescriptions I need in a remotely timely manner. There has been no communication about delays (and the phone is never answered when I call), routine prescriptions now take over 3 days to fill, and prescriptions "in progress" disappear wordlessly only to be "magically" found on some counter top somewhere when I arrive. Thank goodness I don't need insulin!
I'm currently writing this from the pharmacy line with 12, 12! people in front of me to get a prescription that used to take an hour to fill but now has taken 3 days to fill.
I don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but if I had to guess it's not the fault of the pharmacy staff and instead there's some suit somewhere cutting staff down to near nothing and evaluating everything against some bs metrics.
Guess this is what we're stuck with now that companies like Walgreens and CVS ran out all the half-decent local pharmacies in the area. I know after today, I'll be taking my business to Jewel Osco and hoping for better. It can't get any worse I guess.
Also the freezers have been empty for like 3 days at least.

Avoid if you can. This pharmacy is disgraceful.

Just picked up a prescription, there was no wait, and it cost me a third of what it costs at CVS!

If you have a fetish for hold music (no judgement) you would probably give this place 5 stars.

Be prepared for long lines, long delays, and things not being ready on time. Maybe it’s also an issue of understaffing, but who knows.

If at all possible avoid this pharmacy. I turned in a prescription for my mother last week. The medication my mother needed was out of stock , so they had to order it. It took a week for the medication to arrive. When I showed up at the pharmacy a week later to pick up my mother's prescription ; I was told that the medication was given to another patient and that my mother would have to wait another week so they can reorder my mother's medication again.. this incident was the last straw. I transferred my mom to another pharmacy.. As I have had several bad experiences picking up my mom's prescriptions at this particular location.

Absolutely unacceptable pharmacy. We are switching to CVS and will never again spend a dollar at this garbage mismanaged joke of a company.

This is the DMV of pharmacies. You may waste a significant portion of your remaining years sitting on hold trying to resolve a completely unnecessary issue with a routine prescription.

Worst pharmacy I’ve ever gone to. Their phone line hasn’t been working for months and they don’t care. I have to go in multiple times to ask them to transfer or fix a prescription that I can’t do online, each time waiting in line. It’s almost always busy w just one tech at the counter. I’ll never use this pharmacy again if I can help it but unfortunately it’s the only one in the area my insurance prefers

One star is being generous. The pharmacy staff is so disrespectful and the only thing they’re on top of is the breaks they take.

I called at 7:50pm and waited until 9pm to hear their automated system tell me to try again tomorrow. They really don't care and pharmacy manager is rude closing their pharmacy window at 8:15-8:50pm not to serve anyone. I transfered to CVS

Can’t recommend this store in any way. Not really the individuals who work here’s fault but it is a truly miserable experience trying to get medication you need from this pharmacy. Nobody answers the phone (or they are too busy). The app / website doesn’t work nearly well enough to substitute for calling the pharmacy which is nearly impossible to do with this location. Probably because the line is consistently 30+ minutes any time after 5:00 during the week. Even getting something like deodorant is painful due to having 20% of the products locked behind a case.
