As a patient at this Walgreens for almost a decade, in that time, I've had a very good experience with the staff here. So much so, that I've continued to go to the location, even though I've sinced moved further & have many other Walgreens that are closer to my house.
Why? Well, the staff here are always polite, professional & friendly. Before using this Pharmacy, I would just use the closest Jewel or Walgreens & was often appalled by the staff. Suffering from an accident in my time in the service, leaves me in a situation with requiring lifelong medical treatments. With that in mind, the staff at this location has always been extremely helpful, accommodating & just good people.
These folks have been great, my medication has almost always been in stock, they provide me with clear and professional directions on any new meds, always asking if I have any questions & just a pleasure to interact with.
Also, the Manager, Frank, is a great guy & a wonderful pharmacist. He's helped me find some generic meds that work great, especially for my inhaler. I'm often crunched for time during the week due to work, with very short windows to make the trip over there & this team is always very accommodating. Sometimes I can't make it, they will have it shipped to me right away.
I will continue to use this location & have only good things to say. This is a professional team here, one of the good locations in the area. Advice you can trust.

They only fill prescriptions from doctors in the same building, even though the Walgreens app lets me transfer prescriptions there.

This is the BEST pharmacy I ever used. They are ALWAYS on time, kind and respectful. If you use them regularly they use intuitivness to make sure your prescription is always filled. I appreciate the hard work they do everytime I need them.

This is the best wall greens pharmacy in the city because it is easy to fill a prescription here they will mail your drug to you and they will fight harder than anyone to get you prior approval.

They just alerted me that even if they did have stock of my prescription they wouldn’t give it to me as it’s reserved for other patients (who haven’t filled their prescription yet and who knows if they will) so even if mine was next to be filled “it doesn’t work like that”. That maybe leads me to believe they’re hoarding medication even though there is a national shortage. The person on the phone was unbelievably condescending and possibly a ghost from the 1800’s given her use of the word “behooves”.

If you are state insured, dont come. One of the pharmacy technicians made a comment under her breath while I was there and said “Why do they come here?” Typically this would make sense if I had previously gone here before and created a issue but this was not the case.I have been unemployed due to getting laid off and I needed assitance with my health insurance, god forbid I use it at this location. Every Walgreens accepts state insured patients which is why when I came to pick it up, it was free and available. I get it, if things are busy or stressful people are unhappy but this store is by far the slowest of any Walgreens in Chicago. ITS LOCATED INSIDE A DISCREET BUILDING ON THE TOP FLOOR!Anyways, instead of accusing them of racial bias, I am pretty sure the person who said under their breath “why do they come here?” Was only saying that because of my insurance. Just because you are in a discreet building next to doctor offices doesnt allow you to reject patients due to their insurance coverage as if I am less than a human being.

It's essentially just what it says, a pharmacy. If you are hoping to grab a bunch of things as you would at most Walgreens, this is not the one you want. It's like a micro Walgreens that has the pharmacy and shelving on the wall across from it with a few healthcare items and 2 coolers for drinks. The staff however are very pleasant and there's never anyone else in there so service is quick. Also from the street you'd never know it was in that building so it's easy to miss.

This walgreens stocks many drugs which are hard to find elsewhere in the city, but it IS just a pharmacy.

Everytime i go here I always get disrespected by the tech Eboni always extremly rude and acts very judgemental. I agree with the above comment she goes beyond her job of a tech. She always seams so miserable i’ve had it with them being rude to me and i have filed a complaint today. I do like the fact that the pharmacist always does the prescriptions fast but dont get any controlled substances filled here, The pharmacist told me yesterday Despite me having a script from my doctor saying “ok to refill early” that “Well your doctor does not have to deal with the DEA and my boss” how is any of that my problem these people always act like their job is that hard its never busy in there. In my opinion if i went to my doctor already explained to him the situation and he put on there THAT It WAS Ok! Which they always tell me is what they should do for some reason its always a problem i hate this place and wont go back. However Ryan is the only friendly one there I feel bad he has to deal with them. Honestly after my complaint hope at least one of them gets fired.

I agree with the rest ALWAYS great customer service. When my schedule is busy they will FedEx my scripts to me to save me time. Wow!
