There are not enough positive words to use in this review of our experience with Vwidon. From booking the initial appointment all the way through to the end of the wedding day, my daughter’s experience with Carla and the dress she created exceeded our hopes and expectations. Surely from Vwidon’s social media, one can tell the dresses are beautiful, but what you can’t see is the amazing craftsmanship, artistry, and the very warm and talented parts of what Carla brings to the experience. It was a complete delight to work with her and most importantly, the relationship and care she showed my daughter made the whole experience a highlight throughout. She customized the dress based on my daughter’s preferences and made sure that every stitch was fit to a tee. My daughter felt like her dream had come true! The dress looked stunning after travel, through the whole day of pictures right up until the very end of the reception. My daughter brought a different dress to change into but there was no getting her out of Vwidon’s creation once she put it on. Thank you thank you thank you!

Hands down the best decision I made was to have my wedding dress made at VWidon. Carla knows her craft and is wonderful at it. The material and all of the stitching is very high end. The pricing is comparable to other high-end stores, yet here, the quality is outstanding and you work directly with the designer, which makes the whole thing so special! From the selection of my dress, up until almost the last fitting, I got to influence various elements of the design & fit to my liking (e.g. when choosing the dress I combined elements I liked from her existing collections; picked the train length; altered the sleeves' height to land to my liking on my shoulders; choose a French vs. American bustle; picked the number of buttons, etc.). I got so many compliments specifically about my dress and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. Truly exceptional!

Vwidon is the best!! I came to Vwidon after going to all of the Gold Coast bridal boutiques, and Carla's intimate, clean, calm bridal atelier was a breath of fresh air! Carla designs all of her own gowns, and does a lot of custom work as well, combining elements of her original designs. I ended up deciding on a custom gown, which Carla sketched and then designed, exactly as I described it. I was amazed at my first fitting how attentive to every detail Carla was, and how she really brought my vision to life. She is a thoughtful, calming, and extremely thorough designer, and she has a great eye. I'm super happy with Vwidon, the custom dress process has been so special, and I recommend Vwidon to anyone looking for a classic, timeless, less blingy style, with beautiful fabrics.

Carla is the BEST of the best! One of a kind dress, designer, and company… for a once in a lifetime day! From her designs and fabric to her attention to detail, I cannot thank her enough for making me the perfect dress (and veil). Having worked with her 3+ years (wedding rescheduled multiple times due to COVID), I can say wholeheartedly what a pleasure Carla is to work with. She is beyond talented, professional, responsive, reliable, and goes above and beyond for her brides – from safely storing my dress for years to proactively reaching out for (unlimited) fittings. After trying on dresses at other places, I further appreciated how special and personal she made the entire experience. She listens, shares ideas / solutions, and is extremely patient. She truly cares and another way this shows is how she does the alterations herself. This is rare for the designer of the dress to do, and the result is a meticulously fitting dress. Cannot recommend or thank her enough!!

I got my wedding dress here and the shopping and alteration experience here were really good. Carla the designer really spent the time to make sure my dress is to perfection and attend to all the little details that I wanted. There were 3 fittings, for each fitting, Carla was so helpful and she made sure everything goes well. It was a very comfortable smooth fitting every time. At the end, I got my dream dress for my wedding, everything nicely packed. I recommend this place to my girl friends who are looking for wedding dresses for their wedding next year. Great quality on the dresses, unique and beautiful designs, and most importantly Carla really make my shopping and alternation experience very good.

I had a vision for my wedding dress and Carla made it come true. I went to 11 different places and thought I would never get that feeling! The second I described what I envisioned, Carla brought me three dresses that were amazing. The dress I went with was strapless, I wanted sleeves and Carla made detachable sleeves for me in no time. She was patient and allowed me to come back and try on for several family members! She helped me pick out jewelry and a veil when I was indecisive. Thank you Carla!

Being new to Chicago and planning a wedding it was overwhelming, to say the least trying to find the right vendors. I honestly stumbled upon Vwidon Bridal and am so grateful I did. I found the most beautiful dress! I came in for my appt. and didn't really have a specific design in mind, just trying things on. Carla was so helpful and her creativity is a true talent. After 5 or 6 dresses she pulled another out for me that I hadn't originally selected. I tried it on and knew immediately that was the one! It was the most unique wedding dress I had ever seen.I came in for multiple fittings to get it perfect. We made a few adjustments to the design and it turned out better than I had hoped. I fell in love with the dress more every time I came in for a fitting. I received so many compliments. Thank you Carla!

Carla and her husband Kenneth have an incredible eye for sweeping architectural lines and refined elegance, infused with creativity. They have a range for any modern bride, and after going to multiple bridal stores in Chicago and finding some dresses that were "okay" -- I felt like Vwidon was a treasure trove for dresses that were just my taste. Carla worked with me throughout the pandemic and a long delayed wedding where I changed my mind and actually went with a second dress from their collection. They can do bespoke -- mixing and matching with any bottom or top within their collection, but I got a ton of compliments from guests and my wedding vendors on my one of a kind dress which was largely unchanged from the sample I tried on. Fittings were easy and Carla was great to work with. Highly recommend!
