I have a 2010 Prius with 200K miles on it. My gas mileage was steadily declining, so I started looking for a place to get a refurbished hybrid battery. There were lots of places to go, some national chains, some local outfits. Their prices were all over the map as were the warranties that came with their products. The best combination of price ($1499) and warranty (3 year, 60K miles) I found was at Volts. They answered my questions promptly and I made an appointment to come by. The first thing that happened was they tested my hybrid battery and said that it was not failing. I could have driven away at that point at not cost. But I decided it was close enough to the end of its life that I would replace it while I was there. They got the work done quickly and I was on my way. Later, I also replaced my 12V battery, and the car works great. The mileage has also improved. I definitely recommend Volts. Just make sure you call them when you are coming in for your appointment so they can open the door and let you in!

I was very satisfied with the reasonable cost of the recharge and rebalancing of the hybrid battery performed on my 2009 Ford Escape.

After doing a search for the best place from which to get a replacement for my hybrid battery for my 2008 Toyota Camry hybrid, and doing a lot of research on the different places I found, I decided to take a chance on VOLTS. I chose them because they were local, had great reviews and offered a fair price. I can unequivocally say it was absolutely the best decision I could have made. Their service was fantastic. They came to my home all the way in Gary and installed both the hybrid battery and the correct regular battery which also needed to be replaced. John gave me outstanding advice on the maintenance of my car going forward which I followed and which ultimately saved me an unnecessary brake job. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

John and his staff at Volts are great. They didn't try to upsell me on a battery replacement, but instead did an excellent job refreshing my existing battery. For $500 I got an immediate upgrade in performance on my 2012 Prius, and they saved me from having to replace the battery pack which would have been much more costly. They'll keep me on the road for several more years.These guys also know their business: one staff member is a former chemical engineering professor at the U of I with expertise in fuel cells. John gave me a detailed report on my battery performance and clearly explained the performance upgrade. I will be recommending all my friends with older hybrid cars get serviced at Volts. Also, their new location on W. Belmont is convenient, clean, and high-tech. A+ rating for Volts!

I have an aging hybrid car with a Nickel Metal Hydride battery that's prone to failure after 5-10 years. The first one was replaced under warranty but the second one started having issues. I researched online & there was a company that sold grid chargers to help save my battery & prevent a large future repair bill of replacing the battery. Thing is this grid charger needs to be connected to the hybrid battery and it's high voltage and not something my regular mechanic is skilled at so I heard about Volts.These guys not only specialize in hybrid batteries but they also said they could install this harness. They are also honest as the first install attempt they found out the equipment was defective and did not even charge me for their time on that first failed attempt despite them spending their own time on it. Replaced the equip and went in for second attempt and the car has been running as good as new.If you have a hybrid car and need work done on it's hybrid system can't recommend these guys enough!

I couldn't be happier with my new/old 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid now that Volts replaced the hybrid battery. Start to finish it was a wonderful experience working with them. Their prices are so much lower than anywhere else. Their customer service is outstanding. If you need a new hybrid battery, this is the team to call.

Honest, Knowledgeable, Incredibly helpful and super nice. Quickly assessed and diagnosed the problem. No pressure to get unneeded repairs (like at the dealerships). I would definitely recommend getting your hybrid battery here (as they will only sell you a battery if needed) or getting your hybrid battery maintained here. Business is definitely A++

I am very pleased to write a very positive review. I have a 2010 Prius that we were transferring to one of our children to use. We needed to get the car serviced and the battery checked out before going to the east coast from Chicago. We were able to arrange for a quick appointment and have the battery checked out and reconditioned. Lucky for us the battery reconditioned nicely and did not need replacement. Service was quick and knowledgeable. It has now been 4 months and the car drive train battery is working well. It would have been easy to sell us a more expensive product but the team was honest and shard the information regarding the car battery and we were good to go. If you need drive train battery service I strongly recommend Volts Hybrid.

I brought my 2009 Prius in for a battery reconditioning at the beginning of July. John was very knowledgeable and explained the process well. The service took 24 hours and the reconditioning was successful. Since then, the engine has been much quieter and the ride smoother than it was before I brought it in. Absolutely worth the money, especially as your battery is getting older and you are noticing a drop in performance. I highly recommend Volts to anyone with a hybrid!

I am beyond satisfied with this company's services. They drove all the way to West Michigan and changed my battery out in my work parking lot. Coworkers watched the gentleman work and how mindful he was being, staying conscious not to let snow in my car. Very nice guy, overall. He provided adequate information. The one I emailed with was extremely informative and made the process simple...and fast! My '07 Prius runs great again!Thank you guys!
