I recently moved and had not yet posted my name to my mailbox so a package could not be delivered. I called the annex after hours in the slim hope that someone could help me and the woman I spoke to, Cerci, went out and searched through everything that had been "returned to sender" and found the one that should have come to me and marked it for redelivery the next day. It was a pretty time sensitive thing and she came through in a huge way and was extremely polite and helpful!

Updated 2024: 5 years later, it's still just as bad. :) Abandon hope, all ye who enter here.
Original Review from 2019: If you never visit this place, count yourself fortunate.
This requires a significant trek (despite it being the location that services my address), the hours are awful (closes at 5pm weekdays and 2pm Saturday), and they never have what you need… as in, never have the package you need to retrieve.
They require ID to pick anything up and will find any reason to make it more complicated. If you’re picking up a package for a spouse or child… good luck!
I had the misfortune of picking up a parcel today and it’s just as bad as ever. Slow and useless. Avoid at all costs.

I wish I can give rating in the negative. People are so roude and unprofessional here. I was ringing the bell and they people from inside are just looking at me and ignoring me. Rediculose and waist of time. Stay at home if you are lazy and don't want to do your job!

I don't have the employee's name - but the lady who typically works weekdays at the window at the Annex location in Lakeview - provides outstanding service. I have had to pickup mail from this location a few times and she has been incredibly helpful and kind. Even the lady in front of me today compliment the swift service. For an errand folks typically dread, this employee certainly makes it a more pleasant experience than expected.

Staff here is extremely rude and unwilling to help with your needs, I even got yelled at by the lady. What a shame, this is a public establishment and I came here to pick up a pal cake which there were unwilling to help look for it, until another staff member comes in at 9 am when they open at 8 am.

Yet another terrible interaction - came back from a trip to collect mail only to find they closed up 20 min early on Saturday and after buzzing repeatedly someone finally came to the door and told us they didn’t have keys to open it back up. Lazy and very slow workers who couldn’t keep a job anywhere else

worst post office ever. absolute incompetence. they don't deliver packages, lose packages, lie about them and then never answer their phone. the mailman refuses to deliver packages. I mean, isn't that the opposite of what he is supposed to do? aggravation every. single. time. He didn't leave a package, I scheduled a redelivery, it never got redelivered as scheduled, got ahold of someone there who said she would follow up and make sure it got delivered the following day, but it didn't. I attempted to call back but no one would answer. Days later I was finally able to get someone on the phone and they said the package was somewhere there but they were not sure where. It was misplaced and I was only able to get my package 2 weeks after the original delivery date because I kept hounding them. This is not how mail should work...currently trying to find another package that wasnot delivered as scheduled. I mean seriously....

The Graceland location has been closed for a bit, so I went to drop off a pre-paid package here. They were able to take it since it is pre-paid, but they don't do anything else at this location.

I am truly ashamed and disgusted by the USPS service at this location and in Lakeview. I have filed probably 7 or 8 complaints in the last 5-6 months and NO response or improvement. There is obviously a huge problem and no one is being held responsible. Missing/stolen mail, mail in the wrong boxes, and mail just not coming for a week or so on end. This is getting out of hand. Here is my latest experience.NO mail was placed in my mailbox for almost a week now. Found my mail from the junk box (taken out of other peoples mail in the building). There are only 7 units in my part of the building so this should not be confusing on where the mail should be placed. I have lived here since 2009 and have my name and unit clearly placed on my box. The junk mail for my building was full today with about 30 or so pieces of mail (8 of my own) that were placed in the incorrect boxes in the last couple days. I am ashamed and disgusted on behalf of the usps delivery in my area. Please find attached photos of the large pile of mail that was not even able to be delivered into the correct mailboxes for the 7 people in my building, many of these items were checks, bills, w2/tax forms, bank statements, etc. This is very sensitive and personal information and should not be so irresponsibly put in the incorrect places, when names and unit numbers are clearly listed on the envelopes.

They won’t deliver a package, stating that “no secure location available” when there are boxes for packages for the condo association. They won’t answer the phone so I know if I have to go there to pick it up. They didn’t leave a tag either.

Horrible! If our postal carrier is off for a day or two, no mail is delivered. Our postal carrier is the BEST and she truly cares. She understands people are receiving some important things (checks, medication, etc) and wants to insure everyone gets their mail. There have been times I have seen a postal truck on my street and have to ask if they have a package for me (one I have been expecting) and they usually do and will give it to me (last guy was just hanging out in his truck on his phone). I'm in the service business and work in the outdoor elements and will always do what I can to provide service so I get extra irritated!

Been ringining the door bell for 15 minutes. I can hear people inside and nobody will open the door so I can drop off a package.... Literally what kind of place is this?

This facility does not service it’s customers. It could have a vending machine inside the facility- just a thought.
