I've lived in the neighborhood for a year. I don't think there's been a single time any package I was expecting was actually delivered on the day they claim it was. I don't mind if something is delayed, things happen, they're probably understaffed and underpaid, I get it. But please stop LYING about packages being delivered when they haven't been and won't be for another 24-72 hours.

This location flies the US flag inappropriately. It is twisted and caught on the flagpole. I have asked them to fix it to no avail. Shameful!!!
Before I get to the “customer service”, this place is filthy! It looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since the Eisenhower administration. Which is ironic since we are in the middle of a pandemic and masks and social distancing are mandated here to prevent the spread of disease. The doors and walls look like an outdoor commode. The rugs are falling apart and it looks to me like a matter of time before someone trips and gets a nice settlement.
The windows and doors look like my dog licked them. Always. I am pretty sure they are never cleaned.
The ceiling is falling in by the back door. The walls are absolutely filthy, as if someone used them instead of toilet paper. There is an electrical outlet near the "customer service" counter that is missing the faceplate and the electrical wires are hanging out. Doesn't seem safe.
Of course they have signage that masks are required. But the signage is misspelled. I let the female African American employee know it was misspelled and got a grunt in return. The next time I returned it wasn't fixed. What pride these employees have in their work!
Please fix the flag! It is inappropriate to have a US flag tangled up on the flagpole in front of this location. I’ve been asking for years and they never fix it. Shameful!!!
They never have passport services available. Lines are always long. What a miserable place. This is why you don’t give money or power to the government. Unless you enjoy this type of Soviet style experience.

Have to review this place. Frankly it’s the stereotypical experience or how bad a post office is. Definitely the epitome of the phrase of “good enough for government work”.
Had to get my fingerprints done there for a background check. Tried calling multiple times prior to several supposed phone numbers at this place with no answer. When I arrived I immediately noticed the sign that said “fingerprinting for fbi done here” posted. Only to ask the only lady sitting at the county. “Our system is down” then when I asked if it’s a citywide issue? Quickly said “we don’t know it’s been down for a while”
Have actúally had a package I was sending stolen at this post office. But as I did not get a receipt when dropping off hace no recourse. If you are dropping off a package here always get a receipt

Would have rated -5 (minus 5) stars if I could lol. My mail has never been delivered, neither scanned/updated on their system as promised for the prority service. Please someone can tell me how they still can get the money while breaking their commitment? Or is this a scam? If so, how can it be perpetuated in the US? One more point, there’s a usps lady in this branch has a very bossy tone. My real CEO boss even can’t catch up with her voice tone. This lady scared me to death. This should not be called a “service”. Jesus Christ!!

This is the closest post office to my house so that's why I go here but it is no better than any other post office I have gone to. There is usually, but not always a fairly long line here. The employees are generally unfriendly and sometimes downright rude. Pretty much typical for most of the Chicago area post offices I have been to.

The USPS website lists their hours for walk in appointments for passports, but if you walk in they will tell they do not do walk-ins. Employees are rude and out of date with the USPS website.

I originally went to this Post Office to track down a package that was marked delivered but never came because that makes sense right? Apparently I was wrong and after being rudely reprimanded for parking in the parking lot (no signs indicating that it was private parking) and having to go move my car because God forbid we could have just conducted business. I was told they don't handle that and they don't send out mail. So I needed to go around the corner. As I was muttering how it was a waste of time and I don't want to have to come back both of them acted as if I was threatening them. Incredibly rude and totally lazy because I know they have the ability to look or call and see if my package was dropped off at a residence or in the annex but they didn't care to have their time wasted by helping out. FIRE WHOEVER WAS WORKING THE MORNING OF 4/17/24 THEY ARE A DISGRACE TO THE USPS.

very ignorant. very rude. pricing online is different from the real prices for passports. They do not have a camera for the past 5 years. They will tell you that you need to go to cvs to get pictures taken. worse post office. This is the type of attitude would you expect in the bad neighborhoods in chicago not on jefferson park. Do not come here unless you want to be turned down n talked down to

Mail is not being delivered on a daily basis from my branch. Ever since the thefts of mail began from mailboxes i drop all my mail with checks at this facility. No issues until this month . Payments mailed at this facility on 3/7/2024 were not delivered or lost. So my bills came this month and were double. Worst thing is the cost to stop payments on the checks were $30.00 each. It is time for the post office to get its act together. I dont believe they ever will. Sad this is how our world is today. I wonder if the Post Office was billed for the stop payments if they could get the job done.

It’s so inconvenient that this location doesn’t let you access your box outside of business hours.
