nicest Chicago USPS staff I've encountered! good customer service by any standard, not just USPS
Ms. Virgance is so sweet and thoughtful! Made me and my partner feel very comfortable chatting, and I appreciate that she protected the addresses from smudging by taking the extra step to put tape over them ❤️ thank you, y'all are the best!

I visited the post office today and the service was perfect. The gentleman working at the counter was very helpful and fast.

The gentleman at the counter is extremely helpful and professional. I was struggling with mailing a package and he walked me through the process. HOWEVER they have a severe rat problem.
So much so they run over your feet when you’re exiting.

Booked an appt to submit my sons passport application and get photos taken. Everything was going fine until it came time to take the photo. I was asked how old my son was and when the staff member was told he was six weeks old suddenly her attitude changed and she said she “didn’t like to do that” and went to ask the other staff if they could take the picture, after she discussed the situation in hushed whispers with what appeared to be her superior she came back and reported that suddenly the “camera was broken” and that I would have to go to CVS down the street. It was very apparent to me that they just didn’t want to deal with taking photos for a baby and would rather inconvenience me by having me go somewhere else to have it done. Based on other reviews it seems like this is a common practice at this location, very unfortunate and disappointing service.

Ms. Williams was absolutely fantastic. Had a unique situation trying to get my address changed. Was previously at 3 other post offices and nobody could resolve the issue. It took Ms. Williams 5 minutes and everything was fixed and I was on my way. Definitely recommended visiting her.

D. Williams, once again, is fantastic. Friendly, helpful, efficient, wonderful in every way. Her co-worker this morning was also very helpful and friendly, but I didn’t catch his name tag.
After trying to go to a submit a passport application at another location (that was a rude and dismissive experience - each locations “walk in” days and hours are clearly posted on their websites) this location was amazing.
We checked in for our appointment and we were out of there, all paperwork processed and ready to go, in approximately 6 minutes. By far THE BEST and we were so grateful to have had this experience. Thank you!

Today my husband, myself and our 2 children; one of which (is disabled), came into this office. After a failed attempt at passport process at our post office- due to worker rudeness (Norwood Park location, and a system failure (Harwood Heights location). We were at a loss, because we have done everything to get passports, but to no avail (no fault of our own).
But today was such a positive and wonderful experience I needed to share it. D. Williams was the postal worker that helped our family at this location. She was so pleasant, efficient and thorough! My daughter does not have the ability to sign her passport documents (due to her disability), not only did Ms. Williams ensure that we fill out our paperwork the proper way, and double check all documents, she even called the passport department to ensure that it was done correctly, before submission; so that we would have no hiccups in receiving our passports on time! (This was just moments before she was supposed to get off work!!). It was so nice to finally have a positive Post Office experience, D. Williams does a wonderful job and I hope her management team appreciates her, thank you Jefferson Park Post Office ❤️.

I don't understand why people are giving 1 star. I go there twice a week to ship my packages and employees are super polite, I cannot say that about other locations. The young Black lady is very fast, knowledgable and polite. The white gentleman working there is also super polite and helpful when I have questions. I have other post offices closer to my home but I come here because I like the service. My mother is 90, she lives 2 zip codes away and takes the bus to this location because she also likes the employees there.

I waited in a line that was a block long for 30 minutes before it was my turn to the counter - Jefferson Park had ONE employee working, and they know it's the holiday season and many people are trying to mail packages. Why would you allow passport service to interfere with regular service at such a busy time? There should be 3 employees up there, not one! I think the people that control things in Government really want the post office to fail, so they can privatize it.

Needs a big overhaul. Also I bought a Priority Mail with delivery in 2 days and dropped it before the first pickup at their inside drop. It now says 'expected' 3 days until delivered. Why do I pay for priority?
