Dirty, loud, rude staff, unsafe, mishandled my package. Will not be returning. 2 stars instead of 1 because all I had to do was send a package, can’t imagine doing something more important than that at this location.

I was so excited to learn (when I recently moved in) that I had a post office a block away from my house, but I have been disappointed again and the again by the staff at this location. I totally understand that the USPS in general is underfunded and understaffed, which probably creates chaos and frustration for the staff. HOWEVER...after about 10+ trips to the posts office since moving in a couple years ago, I can say that the staff at this location are consistently rude and often hostile. Interaction highlights:
1. Usually only one staff person at a window at any given time, creating long lines throughout the day (probably an issue of lack of funding and understaffing)
2. Staff working have often been on personal phone calls while "assisting" me, making it next-to-impossible to communicate with them.
3. One staff member, in particular, usually welcomes me to the window with a, "what do you want?"
4. I have frequently waited 5-10 minutes because no staff were at the counter, but I can hear them talking and laughing in a back room. They will eventually wander out and visibly roll their eyes when they see customers are waiting.
5. My building experienced a mail delivery pause due to an issue with our gate. I and others in my building went to the post office to get our mail (which was being held) but were all refused. The staff (including the post master) claimed they "can't hand it over the counter." I called the federal USPS customer service line and they said that's not true and that local staff are legally required to give us our mail. I went back and the staff refused again but were definitely caught off guard when I said I had talked to federal customer service and knew that they had to give me my mail. (I swear I was NOT being a Karen about it.) They told me that our mail carrier has our mail with them and that we have to come back between specific hours if we want our mail. (I also don't believe that...federal customer service said it's held on location, so either the employees are constantly lying or they don't understand the system at all.) This created big issues because I was awaiting a crucial piece of mail regarding my Medicaid enrollment that was eventually returned, resulting in about 1-2 months of no health insurance.
Like me, you probably have to go to this location. If you have a choice, though, go somewhere else!

It was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I waited a ridiculous amount of time as the employees hung out in the back and then refused to assist the growing line of customers. They also processed my change of address incorrectly.

No line on Saturday morning, was helped right away and in an out in two minutes. Out of stamps, they said they’d get more on Monday.

There is always one teller in this facility. If you ever come here, plan ahead and give yourself 30 minutes to an hour.
The place is a mess, dirty, outdated and not fully stocked. If you’re going to have a facility looking like this, just do the customers
a favor and close it.

Useless.

No parking lot. Only street parking for which you have to pay. No obvious handicapped ramp. Unbelievable for a federal facility.

I had a really weird and specific issue with my apartment mailbox, and a supervisor came out and helped me figure it out. I’m so thankful and they were so kind. The issue was entirely my fault and they could have easily told me no, so the fact that they went out of their way to help is amazing.

Just got back from this post office. I am not sure what’s happening at this location but it needs to be investigated and maybe have a whole staff replaced with a new team? I have been missing mail(very sensitive) for weeks now, getting photos of it in my e-mail with informed delivery but never the actual mail in the mail box. Went up to this location and managed to retrieve some of my mail after 10 minutes of the search, meanwhile feeling bad for the line forming behind me and people getting frustrated. After asking the employee why was this mail never delivered, they said that there was something wrong with the door of the building. It’s an apartment building with easy access to lobby and mailboxes, everything is under video surveillance. I have to mention that the mail they were withholding from me was from IRS and USCIS (immigration). They have been directly affecting my immigration process by this, and pretty sure this is wrong in so many ways. Just be aware, and this review is not where it will end, I will make sure to report this issue at every possible source.

Woman working window was no-nonsense, but also efficient and kind. Went above and beyond my expectations, and applying for passport was a breeze even though I was slightly late for my appointment.
Building is a bit dirty but not as bad as I thought it would be.

Shipping supplies rack was almost completely empty, APC machine was broken, and only one clerk on a Saturday morning with a line of ten customers.

June 27, 2024: It's a Thursday and was told they don't have any stamps and may not have any until Monday. I had to wait 4 minutes for the cashier to show up to the window as no one was anywhere to be found and no customers waiting in line. Then she was talking on her phone to someone else via ear buds and having a conversation with them and me at the same time. This place is so trashy. No one cares about this place and the employees are children. It's so sad that the manager of this place just checked out for life and everyone here gets a guaranteed job for life so no need to care
June 17 Update: Large number of people waiting, one employee and cart missing from mail slot. Always sloppy service here. Mail just laying in the floor behind windows. How stuff goes missing is how sloppy they are
Update: Woman there yelled at me for wanting to make sure my package got behind the counter. It was worth her time to yell at me than to just take the package. Also when I was leaving one of the USPS vans almost hit me pulling into their parking lot. Everyone here HATES customers. God I hate this PO ?
The most disorganized dumpster fire of a post office. Just keep a package cart in the package bronze door. The employees who have a line 10-15-20 people long just tell you to sit stuff where everywhere when they don't maintain the drop door. I hate this place ????

I’ve had theft issues from this specific location. Anything that even looks like a birthday card is ALWAYS opened, if there is money or not. They’ve been opening my mail from government offices, packages are constantly sent back opened. They opened my city sticker thinking it was a check from the department of finance and bc of that it got sent back with out a notice to me and I had to pay a late fee on my city sticker and made me loose money from my job to take a whole day off to go down to the city clerks office to get a renewal sticker. That again cost me a replacement fee. I’ve made multiple complaints in person and through the phone/web service. It’s a felony offense and they’re taking my tax dollars to create a haven for these government employees to be criminals. Nothings being done and I’m sick of it. I’ve lived at this address for 4 years and it doesn’t seem to matter.
Lines are ALWAYS long af. People rude as hell.

Was told today that they ran out of stamps. …You had one job.
