People love picking on the post office but I love my post office at 1723 W Devon in Rogers Park. The staff there work crazy hours and are dealing with one of the most diverse populations in the country in a challenging neighborhood and they maintain their professionalism and efficiency.I brought a huge stack of boxes in to mail yesterday and Jimmy was the staff member who helped me. He was calm, helpful, patient when I was unsure about an address and stayed cheerful even though he was tired and it was nearing the end of his day. Everyone there is seasoned, knowledgable and if you are nice to them? You will get kindness and help back! Everything I have mailed there has gotten to the destination quickly and without flaw.I am hugely grateful and wanted to make a shout out to Jimmy in particular but the women who were working with him yesterday (sorry, don't know names) were chatty and helpful to everyone that came in.Thanks, Devon!

It's the Post Office. You wait until it's your turn. They offer passport service as well as stamps and shipping. A government agency that is quite useful.

If I could give zero stars I would. The woman working at the counter was disrespectful and rude. From the minute I walked up to the counter she seemed inconvenienced by my presence let alone the package I needed her to scan in. She offered zero solutions to an issue and basically told me to leave. If you need to drop letters off then this location will suffice, but I strongly recommend going elsewhere if you have any need to work with an employee. Sadly, the employees have zero patience and don’t know how to treat someone with kindness. Don’t go to this location!!!

The staff was rude, irresponsible, and seemed to dislike their job. It is a waste of my tax money. The lady at the counter kept on making excuses for not doing their job properly. All of a sudden they want to enforce policies that they’ve never even known before. They are very unprofessional. They should be fired.

Disgusting Human's Called Old Women with Guns on Freedom of the Press! The staff in this building either need to get fired or retrained on what The First Amendment allows the citizens to do.1 Star.

Had the best experience at this post office and I even got there a half hour before closing and unprepared. I had forgot the slip for the package and didn't have the tracking number. The very kind lady working went above and beyond to find my package for me. It was a large heavy box and even offered assistance! I would definitely go to this post office for all my mailing needs. Friendly, courteous, efficient staff!

Clerks were extremely rude, had me wait 20+ minutes with no line. When asked for an update on what I requested one of them immediately snapped and said someone else went to check on it for me.

I’ve experienced a number of locations around Chicago. I find that although the lines can be long here, they move quick because the staff is focused on getting people served and on to the rest of their day as fast as they can. Also, can we just talk about how hard this job must be?Service industry-wise, this has to be on the more grueling end, and I appreciate anyone who is working in the postal industry. We need to keep a shipping option for everyone. We’d be complaining a lot more if our only options were UPS and FedEx…My 103 year-old Grandma worked for the Post Office for over 30 years. I think facing the challenges she encountered there with a positive attitude while keeping her focus on her job was one of the things that kept her alive so long… lessons, people. Patience and endurance are important.Sometimes, the post office is our opportunity to develop those things… for those behind AND in front of the counter.

Are the lines kinda long at this location? Sure. But even with longer lines and sometimes limited windows, the staff they have there are phenomenal. Everyone is kind and efficient and communicative and patient, which i super appreciate after not great experiences at other USPS locations (I’m looking at u, Uptown). I’ve been helped with both passport services and solving why i was experiencing issues having my drivers license delivered (my landlord didn’t put a lock on my mailbox, causing it to be wide open which is it’s own issue). Anyway- this location is my preferred and i love the staff here.

If I could give 0 stars I would, this is a disgusting place with rude and unprofessional staff. The woman on the right behind the counter acts as if you came to her house and asked her to give you money. I don’t understand how much you have to hate yourself and your life to feel this way about the job where she spends so much time. Delivery - 0/10, they just don't bother with it. It's good that my contract is coming to an end and I won't be visiting this place anymore. For this reason, you can really think about moving. It’s a pity I didn’t pay attention to the reviews about the staff and theft earlier. I don't recommend it at all

Definitely the most garbage delivery service and customer service on earth. Third world scammers have better communication than USPS.
