I wish I can give below one star!!!! A package was sent to me from Georgia to Indianapolis since on the 05/03/2024, and I’m yet to receive it all for me to be told that my package is yet to depart from Georgia, meanwhile the system says I should receive my package on the 05/08/2024. It’s so sad how this system allows incompetent staffs to ruin their reputation, very rude staffs with zero empathy. I wish I can talk to human being regarding this!! I need my package, no one is telling me why or when I will receive it.

Held my Christmas gift package since December 18, 2023 til now Feb 6 2024. Scum bags wont deliver the package or return to sender. Denied my insurance and it been almost 2 months. Tracking # is 9405503699300637608470. F U C K everyone that works there you scum bags c#nts!

I have left 3 messages with consumer affairs regarding a package I mailed from RI to South Carolina on 12/4/23. The package has been in the Illinois postal system since 12/10/23. No one has called me back and they have not returned calls from the South Carolina postal service. Very Frustrating. Help!

They really need to update the system for when family members have the same first four letters for their first and last name. An absolute headache when people don't pay attention on top of that.

This place is run like you’d expect a government agency to be run. Inefficient, incompetent, and a waste of time. Don’t bother making a passport appointment here because they don’t respect your time and don’t have a working camera (even though the website says they do). Don’t bother.

Can you believe the retail (live person staff help) hours you can have with this? This is the main post office in Chicago with amazing hours for those who need life help with packages or express mail or passport services. You can ask someone if you have everything ready for the renewal or first time passports and mail it from here. They say you should expect express passport service to be processed in 3-5 weeks so for regular passport service maybe 1-3 months ish. Plan in advance. It's vast and nice and you have escalators to go up to the service floor. On the floor above parking which is free... which is a rare thing in downtown Chicago to begin with... There's a self service mail box area for stamped and metered mail so you can drop off and go. The staff were friendly and nice and at 9:00am on a Tuesday it was not busy at all and I only had about a 10 min wait with 3 people ahead of me. I will come here whenever I need to do a late night run.

Place is an absolute joke. I never write reviews. I'm a buyer/seller and live right up the street so I'm up there every day. Had a woman behind counter last name is Garcia ask me what was in the box that had a battery. I told her MacBook Pro (worth $2500) she told me I would have to repackage the mail. Asked me to select ground and select something smaller. Asked me if it was new or used. Said I couldn't get insurance with ground. Hindsight - why all the questions? But you give people the benefit of the doubt. Not in Chicago and especially not at this place. I also simultaneously mailed the charger in a bubble mailer, also ground. The MacBook Pro conveniently didn't get scanned in. And never was delivered. The charger was delivered three days later. I suspect mail theft with the Garcia woman being involved. I asked her to look for my package a week later and she said computer is froze and said these deliveries can take months. Months? Lol. Just trying to let time pass because she knows more time that goes by the better for her. She isn't all there and has clear mental health issues. I was going to use that money to pay my rent now I just learned a very expensive lesson. I typically try to be polite to these miserable, MISERABLE, old dusty hags but I've had enough. Please never trust this place with your mail. Top to bottom an absolute joke. Btw, if your mail is lost or stolen just chalk it up as a loss. They will not help you recover or "investigate" your loss

I have a P.O. Box at a location in Clinton Township Michigan. The box is active and paid for a year in advance. I have not received mail in weeks and notice the box was blocked off. When bringing this to the attention of the supervisor at this location, she told me that the box was closed. I logged into my online account to show her that the box was still active but she refused to even look at it or key in my box number to check and told me there is nothing she can do. She sent me to a whole different location that was confused of why I was there when my box was not at that location. When this location checked, they told me my box is indeed active and should not be blocked off. I cannot get ahold of anyone in customer affairs. Any documents sent to my box have been returned to sender and I have no way of knowing on what I missed. Absolutely horrible customer service for a paying customer that has been at this location for years.
