I ended up purchasing an item that happened to be defective and i won’t make it back in due to me leaving Chicago in a couple days, I called in to speak with someone and Trey helped me tremendously. He was very helpful and told me they had no problem assisting me with getting a new product in return once i come back in town. I am very thankful for him and the great customer service.

Got a haircut/color/blowout by Royal. I have never been happy with anyone who has done a blowout until today! Also the haircut and color looks amazing.

Got the 1hr/Formal makeup done with Royal H. She did not do a good job. Told her I did not want to have a heavy foundation base, yet that’s exactly what she did. I had to correct her several times on mistakes she made(makeup crumbling off, eyeshadow not blended, nonexistent blush, lashes falling off within minutes of application). Ulta- maybe have the less experienced people do the everyday makeup bookings. I spent a lot of money and my time in this. Not happy at all

I ordered some items for pick up. I walked in the store and no one said anything to. Everyone there working looked at me and never even acknowledged me. I don’t understand how you don’t acknowledge customers coming to spend money in a store. Really annoying and a reason I stopped going to the Hyde park location. No one asked me what I needed just looked at me like I was crazy.

Staff is awesome but you can tell Ulta doesn’t spend the money to properly staff, which is a shame and stressful on the employees. The staff members are always super kind, knowledgeable, and ready to spend the time with you. Wish Ulta would actually would care enough to pay and staff appropriately.

Fernanda is my current stylist here. I truly appreciate her so much for not only her work, but for being so compassionate. She did my hair a month ago for a full head of highlights. Two days ago I came in to get my hair retouched, but the warmth didn’t lift to where it was when I first got my hair done. I called in and Ulta was able to get me in today. Thank you Fernanda for not only fixing the problem, but for your professionalism. I can’t wait to come back again to try a new hairdo!

I normally don’t leave reviews for big establishments like an Ulta but I’ve had too many bad experiences at this point at this location.
Every time I come here it’s always something. The last few times it’s been understaffed and I’ve had to wait in a line that’s 6+ people long and only one person at the register.
The latest incident involved me waiting 20+ minutes for a manager to do a price adjustment. I was told by the staff at the register that the manager was in the bathroom at the time. I waited for 15 minutes before I followed up and said I really had to be somewhere. The staff at the register followed up again and apparently the manager didn’t know she was needed? Wasted 20 minutes for no reason
I like the selection of items but the customer service and management needs a lot of work

Great experience today with Trayvion. They are the most knowledgeable Ulta/Sephora person I’ve come across and so patient too. They walked me through the difference between silicone based and water based makeup and then color matched me for my new foundation. While we were working together, several people came to ask Trayvion questions about products and for recommendations and Trayvion always had an answer. Thank you, Trayvion for your help and patience today- you’re the best!

Literally the worst Ulta I’ve been in. The front door is in serious need of a half gallon of WD40 bc opening that door sounds like nails on a chalkboard.The 75lb blonde associate with the short hair and crop top needs to either take a breath, or take some time off. She was not making a whole lot of sense, and was paying attention to her front end log book and completely ignoring customers in line. She called for back up and it took a solid 3 minutes or so for anyone else to help check people out. Meanwhile she’s still frantically pacing and fumbling around with her log book mumbling to herself, with her back turned to the entire queue ??♀️ At this point, there’s about 5 other people waiting in line.Inventory at this location is abysmal, as they were completely out of at least 70% of Tarte Shape Tape concealer shades, which was the main reason I came in. I left empty handed after another floor associate ensured she’d help me check inventory stock in the back, but then continued on and never actually helped me.Ulta you don’t need to even bother responding with your generic pity response you copy and paste to everyone who gives you 3 stars or less, I’ll continue shopping at Sephora.
