Since Becovic took over the building it's been improving greatly! They seem to really care about the property better than the last owner. The common areas are cleaned everyday, doors/locks updated and the new app helps makes thing work around the building. I gladly didn't mind staying another year

I had the pleasure of having Lanee Williams work with me. She was very thorough, attentive and flexible. Eric Briggs was also a huge help in the process. They hung in there with me through my viewing countless units, questions and indecisiveness. I'm now in the best unit for me thanks to their patience and diligence. Thanks guys!

I would not recommend moving here.They do not take good care of this building.It is absolutely true that the elevator does not work. They do not tell you that and market the building as an elevator building knowing that it works maybe about 10% of the time.It took them monthes to fix the buzzer for the door just to find out it doesn't even open both doors so it is useless.The water filter at in the gym they refuse to update hasn't been changed since I moved in here though it has been on red the entire time.Getting in touch with the management office through phone is an impossible task. Getting in touch with them at all is an uphill battle.My leasing agent was rude.I do love my actual unit. I think it is simple and sleek and I have everything I need in it.I just wish the property management company actually took the time to work on and improve the building. How can the team really say they are proud of the work they are doing at this location?For the amount you pay for rent there are better options in this area. Just have patience and look for a building that respects itself and it's tenants.If The Windale really wants to know what it could do to be better they can use their common sense and think about what they'd like to see if they lived here or hand out a survey.I will be moving out as soon as my lease is up and I will learn from this mistake and vet my next apartment better.

Had a terrible tenant that neglected their dog for 12+ hours a day, every day, that would bark non-stop the entire time. I would call and inform them of this, and that it was affecting me (on the spectrum and sensory issues) and the man answering the phone (2/10/23 1:45pm) said not to vent to him and that I was wasting his valuable time. I’ve never written a review like this, it’s kind of embarrassing but that was just wrong.

Dino has been and keeps being really helpful throughout this whole move in process. I had 100 questions and was really aggressive with how many emails I sent but he helped me through everything single thing so far. So thanks for that. Lanee Williams was the one who helped me get the apartment. Thanks to her as well.

Didn’t answer my calls when I had questions on my lease, or move in, impossible to get a hold of the property manager, when I did move in it was a completely different apartment than the floor plan they sent me and was not one of the 2 apartments I veiwed. The apartment was dirty on move in, the washer doesn’t work and the toilet is too weak to flush anything down.

After living here for a year, I suggest you to rent somewhere else. The water from all facets smells moldy, it is so disgusting that I had to use bottled water to brush my teeth. The apartment is extremely small, feels like you live in a dorm. You can hear your neighbors talking or walking at all times, not to mention disrespectful neighbors who do laundry after 11pm or watching TV loud at 3am. The Internet they force you to pay for is slow. Elevator is always broken, had to pay extra $100 to the movers, since they where not able to use it. Packages get stolen every other day. It is literally impossible to get in touch with anybody from the office by phone. In the community chat someone complained about finding mice in their unit multiple times.Overall, they are selling you the luxury living, but it doesn't even smell good in the building.

I moved into The Windale six weeks ago and my expectations have been surpassed in each and every way. Pat Gentry has been beyond responsive and timely in addressing each of my requests. Kelly Lullo was a terrific leasing agent and she was equally responsive. I am thrilled to be able to take advantage of the countless amenities at the various Flats properties throughout Chicago. The Windale is well maintained and impeccably clean.The Edgewater neighborhood is safe, welcoming, and within a short walk of the building there are countless restaurants and markets of all sorts. The proximity to Lake Michigan (a 4 minute walk) cannot be beat. Major bus lines run continually to and from Downtown Chicago, not to mention the train which has a stop half a block away.Put simply, I am thrilled with my election to rent at The Windale. I am grateful to Pat and Geonna for their many kindnesses.

I leased a studio at another Flats property for 4 years, and the location just wasn't the right fit for me anymore. But I'd become pretty spoiled having a place with my own washer/dryer, super convenient to both transit & shopping.Luckily, Pat & Geonna were willing to work with me over the course of a month as I worked out whether the Windale was right for me. Geonna toured the place with me and showed me several options.When I missed out on a unit due to it renting right before I secured it, Pat made sure I was able to go back and see my other choices, and was receptive to letting me pay for a couple days of the month before to move without being in a rush!The building is so cute, as is my unit, and has the same type of washer/dryer combo I've loved in my old place. It's also within a block of Whole Foods and the Thorndale red line stop, and restaurants, pharmacies, and an Aldi are just a little further. The beach is an easy walk.Excited to be in Edgewater, have lived in lots of Chicago neighborhoods, but this is the closest I'll have been to the lake. Thanks Pat & Geonna! Your help and patience getting me into the Windale is very much appreciated.

I always refer my clients to Flats Properties because not only are the units amazing, the team is incredibly helpful, attentive, and efficient. Tyler, Kelly, and Jessie are amazing to work with and do the absolute most to make the client experience A+!

I love the building and my apartment. It's clean most of the time, and the in unit washer/dryer makes a huge difference in my lifestyle.I am leaving a three star rating because the management is unresponsive most of the time. Recently, Geonna Fleming has joined as Assistant Property Manager, and she seems to be more helpful than Pat Gentry has been in the almost year that I've been a resident here.If you are a disabled person, a flight attendant, or have trouble climbing stairs, I suggest finding another apartment or sticking with the first floor. The elevator does not work 90% of the time. If you do decide to move in, be prepared to carry all of your things up the stairs.Individual maintenance requests are promptly responded to unlike the elevator which I am grateful for. I don't want to deal with moving out especially when I can't use the elevator.
