Nice vintage hotel. Parked across the street at Hilton public parking. Rooms are affordable when there are zero events going on. Location is in business district. Just stayed 3 nights for a sales meeting. Places close early. Nothing around that’s open so it’s difficult to walk in the negative temps to find a cozy pub.

This place is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at in all my travels. They were super dirty, the location is not good, and the staff is not friendly. I strongly recommend the London house or Waldorf Astoria. This is not up to Marriott standards. Choose somewhere else for a good stay in Chicago. Check out some pictures of what we found in our hotel room. Would you have wanted to stay for 5 nights after this?

The rooms are very small. Window shade did not work so we couldn’t block out all the lights for sleeping. Mini fridge didn’t work. The hotel as a whole is beautiful and the location was perfect for us walking to the Bears game. We could hear the neighbors shower very loudly through the wall and a couple of times there was a “sewer” smell. Loved the classic charm in the lobby but will be choosing a different hotel for our next trip.Walkability: Very good neighborhood to walk through to check out local sites/stores

When we arrived, we wanted to simply drop our bags as it was only 1:30 pm. They gave us our room! The hotel is chic and historic, has so much charm, and was as fun to explore as it was to stay in. We enjoyed the room - that was definitely one of the best mattresses I’ve ever had in a hotel. We loved the modern comforts of the rooms combined with the classic charm of the old Chicago building. It is also a 5 minute walk to the L, and in a great location to explore Chicago!Rooms: Modern, comfortable and clean.Nearby activities: Close to everything in the Loop!Safety: Felt so safe in the area, even at night.Walkability: 5 minutes from theaters, the L, the park and everything fun.

I added parking when I tried to check in on the Mobile App, but had to check in at the front desk. No one mentioned the parking or gave me any information, so I paid separately for the parking during my stay. When I checked out, I noticed that it was still on my bill. I chatted with someone on the mobile App who told me a manager would reach out shortly (that was 4 days ago). I also completed a contact us form yesterday. I have not heard from anyone and the charges are still on my card.Otherwise, the rooms are very nice and there is a little bar with tapas downstairs (though it closes promptly at 10). It is in a convenient area to do things in and outside Chicago.Just be prepared to be ignored by management after you check out.

Absolutely LOVE this hotel. I splurged on a nice room for myself, my mom, and my two sisters for my birthday in September. The room was very nice and super clean. We all over packed and we were very comfortable in our room (Executive, Larger Guest room, 2 Queen(s), Sofa bed). Our view was of a close building, but hadn't requested a view. The lobby and façade are stunning. I wish I had enjoyed the lobby more. They even had a usable typewriter to write letters on their letterhead, a super cute touch. I just booked a stay here again for Christmas and I was able to find a better deal booking direct than with any other hotel on Priceline! The location is super central. Easy to walk to Millennium Station and lots of transit nearby.

The Blackstone Hotel holds the Mercat La Planxa Restaurant where we dined for a birthday dinner. The menu is Catalan so the plates are small tapas. We chose the Authentic experience and were brought the most delicious small plates of croquettes and patatas bravas to bacon wrapped figs. As it was a birthday celebration a sparkling Cava was brought to the table. Delicious food, a table by the window, a memorable night.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel! We were in town for one Friday night, and I think staying at The Blackstone helped us make the most of it. The whole building is full of history, and there was plenty to find within walking distance. The highlight of the trip for me actually came after we had already checked out and realized we forgot an item in our room. While a staff member was leading us back up to our room we mentioned how much we appreciated the architecture was, it turns out this staff member was very familiar with the hotel's history. On our way back out of the hotel, he took us on a short detour to the Art Hall - something we had totally overlooked. We got a chance to see some of the rotating local art the hotel displays, and the staff member shared details about the architecture in the room and where modifications were made over the years. It was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had in a hotel. Can't think of anywhere I'd rather stay in Chicago, thank you for the wonderful time!Rooms: The rooms are well furnished and comfortable, we did hear some traffic noise from the 11th floor around rush hour, but everything was quiet by the time we came back to the hotel around 10:30.

From the moment we stepped in to the Blackstone we were in awe of the design details, the eccentric art and the maintenance of spectacular heritage elements. When we got to the front desk, Edward greeted us warmly and was pleased to welcome us. He and Amari attended to our preferences and offered truly friendly Chicago hospitality. We will be back and recommend this hotel to our family, colleagues and friends. We love to walk the city and gave four stars on the location because the hotel is a bit removed from all of the action of downtown. But we would this choose the waterfront view any day!Rooms: We got an east facing corner room with views making you feel like you're right on the waterfront. For a hotel in the city, the rooms are massive, did I mention the double sink? It's also very peaceful...can't hear anything outside of our room :)Noteworthy details: The history of this building is impressive and they have found a way to integrate notable moments on simple assets - even the back of the key cards.

The staff are pretty chill, it’s almost like walking into a club if you know what I mean. Room is nice but the layout is a bit strange - the mini fridge is sort of blocked by the desk. Good location. I haven’t tried the food options in the hotel. Note that Uber can’t pick up at the hotel; this was a surprise and I lost time trying to locate the Uber pick up spot which, unfortunately, created stress cos I can’t find the location on Google map.

Stayed here on January but forgot to review! The hotel is breathtaking, it has got such a rich history and it keeps having the same antique luxe essence which old buildings tend to lose. It is in a great location, perfect if it’s your first time in CHI you’ll definitely be able to go to the most touristy spots as they are fairly close. The room was beautiful as well, great service too!

Love the design of this hotel; blending the historical building with beautiful modern touches. The rooms are comfortable and the location is convenient. Friendly staff and a well appointed fitness center.

We only went to the Blackstone to go to the Mercat a la Planxa restaurant (located side the hotel). We sat in the lobby for a while until we could be seated for the restaurant. The chairs were comfortable…. and the restrooms were spotless! We decided that when we come back to Chicago, we need to stay here.

A gorgeous hotel! So many fabulous things to look at right in the lobby, but don’t miss out on the Art Hall! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The room was pretty standard, we didn’t have much of a view but that didn’t bother us too much. Location is fabulous! So much good food, coffee, watering holes and a dispensary right in walking distance.

Friendly staff and nice rooms, which you'd expect at this price. Only disposable paper cups in the rooms though, which I'm not a fan of. Parking is next door at Hilton, which is odd but not bad. However Monday morning hotel restaurant wasn't open so we had to cross the street to get breakfast at the Hilton.
